General Questions

How does this work?

Pocket Your Dollars Rewards will give you cash back when you shop online. Here’s how:

  1. Start at Pocket Your Dollars Rewards. Log in or create a free account so we can track your earnings.
  2. Shop. Go to your favorite online retailers using our links at Pocket Your Dollars Rewards.
  3. Earn. You’ll automatically earn a percentage back of what you spend online. There are no pesky rebate forms to complete and mail in. Your earnings will be deposited into your Rewards account. When you’ve earned $20 we’ll pay you.

How is this possible?

When you login and click through Pocket Your Dollars Rewards links the online retailer gives us a percentage back of what you spend. We generously share that percentage with you.

Are there hidden fees or costs to join or participate?

Nope. It is 100% absolutely free.  In fact, we’ll give you $2 for creating a free account today.

Is this a scam?

Nope. We earn when you shop and we’re the kind of folks that will give some back to you. We’re also the kind that would push you out of a ditch on a snowy winter day or bake a new neighbor some cookies. For real.

If I read PocketYourDollars.com, but don’t join Pocket Your Dollars Rewards can I still earn cash back?

Nope. Pocket Your Dollars Rewards is something separate from the PocketYourDollars.com website. You need an account and to click through Pocket Your Dollars Rewards links in order for us to track your earnings.

If I sign up, will you share, sell, rent or giveaway my email?

Never in a million bazillion years. Not even if someone offered us all the money in the world. We won’t do it. Never. Scouts honor.

Account Questions

How can I log into my account?

Log in at http://pyd.sunshinerewards.com

Am I allowed to have more than one account?

No. We allow one account per household. Beyond that we allow only one account per computer.

Why can’t multiple people in my house have accounts?

See, multiple accounts from the same household and even more so on the same computer cause our tracking to go wonky. When it goes wonky it messes up our ability to pay you correctly. When you don’t get paid correctly then you get crabby. You might even get crabby at us. We don’t want that so we think it’s best to limit each computer to one account. P.S. – we are so serious about this that if we find multiple accounts from the same computer, then the accounts get deleted and earnings lost. It’s a bad deal.

I live outside the US, can I join?

Yes, as long as you live in Canada. I wish we could allow people from warm exotic foreign places so that I could make friends and have a place to stay when I travel, but we can’t.

How can I change my personal information?

Log in to your account and click the “Edit Your Account” link. You will be able to edit any of your information except your name and member ID.

How can I cancel my account?

We’re sad to see you go. Enter your member ID and password on the main page and choose “Cancel Account”. Come back soon now, ya hear?

How can I cancel receiving your newsletters?

Why would you want to? Oh, wait, that’s not the question. You can’t unsubscribe from Pocket Your Dollars Rewards emails without cancelling your Rewards membership. If you cancel your membership, then you’ll forfeit any earnings. On second thought, it’s a better idea to tolerate a few emails. Plus, they’ll help you save money and earn more cash back.

Shopping Questions

Do I have to click on your links to get credit?

Yes you do. The only way to get credit for a shopping purchase is to first log into your account. Makes sense, doesn’t it? We have to know who to give credit to. After that you need to click through our links for any online retailer (aka merchant) where you want to shop. When you are logged in and click through our links, then we have a record of what you’ve done and can give you cash back.

I forgot to log in and click through your links. Can you still give me credit?

Unfortunately, we cannot request credit from a retailer retroactively if you forgot to click on our links. I wish we could, but we can’t. Sorry.

Will I still get credit if I use a coupon code at checkout?

Maybe. Within Pocket Your Dollars Rewards you can look up and find coupon codes for online retailers. If you use one of those codes we’ve given, then yes, you’ll get credit. But, I know you probably search “[online retailer] coupon code” before you finish up an online purchase. If you find and use a code other than one we’ve given you, then you may not get credit. That includes coupon codes you’ve gotten via email, Facebook or carrier pigeon directly from the retailer. You may not get credit if you use them.

Will I still get credit if I use a gift certificate or employee discount at checkout?

Maybe. Online retailers can refuse to give credit when someone pays with a gift certificate or employee discount. If they refuse to give us credit for your purchase, then we can’t give you credit for yours. Your best off not tempting fate and shopping with gift certificates and other discounts not found within Pocket Your Dollars Rewards.

Earnings Questions

Do I need to enable tracking cookies on my internet browser to receive credits?

Yes. Tracking cookies have that name because they track our online activity. Online retailers use them to tell us how much you spent. When we know what you’ve spent, then we can pay you. Without them, boy, that would make our job really, really hard since we’d have no record of anything you’d spent online.

When will my earnings post?

Typically you’ll see your earnings post in your account as credits or credit holds within 10 days. Credits are held for 28 days. That’s just in case the shoes you ordered don’t fit quite right and you return them.

It’s been 10 days and I don’t see a credit or credit hold?

Uh-oh. File a Trouble Ticket if you don’t see a credit or a credit hold in your account history within 10 days (found at the bottom of the Member Zone). We’ll need you to include the confirmation email you got when you completed the purchase in question. We want to check in with the online retailer and figure out what’s going on. And by check in we mean that we will really email or call that retailer on your behalf and figure out what happened.

Getting Paid

How am I paid?

Payments are made via PayPal.

When can I request payment?

When you’ve earned at least $20.00 and been a member for at least 45 days, then you can request payment (we call it a cash out). We make you wait the 45 days to deter fraud because hey, there are some bad apples out there and we don’t want them to spoil the bunch.

How can I request payment?

You’ll see a nifty “Request Payment” button on your earnings page when you’re eligible to be paid. Press said nifty button and our payment team will get you paid in our next payment cycle.

When am I paid?

You’ll receive payment into your Paypal account about a month after you request it. We set up a schedule so you’ll know exactly when to expect your moola.

What is your payment schedule?

If you hit that nifty “Request Payment” button on the 1st to the 15th of a month, then you’ll be paid on the 15th of the following month. If you request payment anytime from the 16th to the end of the month, then you’ll be paid on the last day of the next month.
