Hi, Carrie! ;
First, I want to thank you. I discovered PYD when you were featured on Kare11 a few weeks ago, and am soooo glad I did. Your PYD site is my FAVORITE site, and by far the BEST money-saving resource. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into all you do, and thank you so much for sharing it and for teaching me to be an even thriftier, wiser consumer. :)
Also, i found a great site for signing up for samples that i thought may be good to share in your free stuff section. It’s Walmart’s website’s samples sign up page:
http://walmart.triaddigital.com/In-Stores-Now-Free-Samples.aspx
They always offer a variety of great samples, which many times coupons come along with them. There are several really good ones this week, especially a free sample 20-piece pack of Nicorette Gum. My cousin Christine has been wanting to quit smoking, but has been held back partly by the high cost of quit-smoking-aids. So she is happy to get the sample pack. A few relatives, including myself, also signed up for the sample which we will give to her.
They’re also offering Emergen-C Cherry & Pomegranate 2-packets fizzy drink mix, Carefree & Kotex & Playtex items – the Carefree comes with a printable coupon offering, which i tried your “get a second coupon by clicking the browsers back button” tip & it worked like a charm. ;)
Anyway, thanks again for sharing and teaching money-savings. :)
Smiles,
Heather =)

Go to http://bit.ly/2eEsvU
After signing up for the free samples, a button to print some great coupons appears. And the browser ‘back’ button to print double coupons trick works perfectly! ;)
Have a happy day! :)

Hi, Carrie:
I posted a while back about sweepstakes, and did send you a quick post with the my Top 10 sweeping basics, as you requested. I didn’t see it on PYD yet, or hear from you, so wasn’t sure if you did receive it. Let me know if you didn’t, and I will re-send.
Right now Target is having an awesome prize filled sweep, and everyone who enters gets a free medium size pop at the Target Cafe. It started today, so not sure if you get a free pop every time you enter or only 1st time. It ends 11/26. Here is the link https://2daysweepstakes.target.com/
Sarah – The post on the sweeps is coming and I appreciate the tip on the Target one. I got that up for everyone to see. Thanks!
Left a message on FB about Pocket your Dollars and the TJ Maxx/Marshalls figt card. If I won, I would add it to my Christmas shopping expense. Thanks
Do you have recommendations for coupon swaping/selling? I have many Enfamil and other coupons I’d like to trade.
Thanks for your help,
Shelly
HI Carrie!
Thanks for all you do on your site – it has been such a blessing for our family to have all these money-saving ideas right at our fingertips!
Just a heads up in case you haven’t already heard – I got an email from Snapfish over the weekend advertising 100 free prints with any other purchase. I wasn’t sure if it would work to just purchase 1 extra photo (so 101 photos total) and have the extra photo work as the “any other purchase”, but it did, and I ended up with 101 photos for $6.41 (includes $.09 for the 1 photo and the cost of shipping/taxes). I thought this was a great deal, so just wanted to pass it on. It’s only valid until January 27 though…
The only thing I’m not sure of is if this deal is meant for the general public, as I haven’t seen any evidence of it on other money-saving blogs, so maybe it was just a deal they sent to a select few people??
Anyways, for what it’s worth I thought you’d like to hear about it:)
Sincerely,
Michelle Wilcox
I cannot find the website to get the free water bottle from Fairview
Sharon – Go right here: http://www.pocketyourdollars.com/free-really-nice-water-bottle-for-mn-and-wi-residents
Thanks for the info……looking forward to a nice bottle.
Hi Carrie,
Thanks for all the hard work you do to save all of us money. You’ve been a huge help to me in saving my family money.
Have you seen this organization? http://www.emergencyfoodshelf.org/OurFamilyOfPrograms/ffa/ The food you get is at a 30%-50% discount from grocery stores. I havn’t taken the time to compair the price I pay for the food packages against what I could purchase it for at the grocery store. However, I love the simplicity of it. The one I go to is at the Stillwater Junior high school, usually the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month (times and locations should be on the web site.) They have example packages available for display so you can see what’s included. I pick the food packages I want, pay for it. And someone brings the boxes out to my car for me. It usually takes me 10 min if there is no line. It’s a great way to suplement my cupboards. The food quality is typically pretty decent.
Thanks,
Terra
I just had to tell you about a GREAT DEAL I got in my local Wal-Mart last night…..
As I was getting the great deals you posted for the floss and toothpaste and also in the travel size section I stumbled across a super clearance on a 8 oz size of Johnson and Johnson baby cream oil lotion…it was clearance out for $1.50…so I decided to not use my $1.00 off any J & J product for the soap that was listed and I instead got the lotion for 50 cents!!! I had three $1.00 off coupons so I got three lotions; I have been really in need of some lotion and I had been waiting for such a deal to get stocked back up. I was giddy! Then as I walked out of the store I was thinking my total for the whole amount seemed like too much and sure enough I was charged the full price of $3.42 for each lotion. So back to the store I went and they corrected the error. So as a reminder I think we all need to remember to watch our receipts so we are not only charged the correct amount also that we are getting each and every coupon correctly applied to our order.
I find that by the time I am checking out of a store I get so excited about my savings and a bit frazzled by the products whizzing by the scanner and how they punch in coupons that I am not confident I am always “pocketing all my dollars”. I try hard to catch these errors in the checkout line so I don’t have to make an additional stop at the customer service department to get a refund. If I find an error and they try to correct them on their register you still have to watch it very closely; as hard as they try, sometimes they still do not do it correctly and I have even gotten charged double instead of removing the wrong price.
Carrie I have only been on this site for about a couple months; and this kind of thing has happened to me plenty of times and it got me thinking about if you have or can give us some more pointers or a guide for this area of savings?
Thanks again for this site!!! I love it! I have learned so much about savings and each trip to the store I find I am spending less time in finding savings and how to best use coupons. With the winter we have had opening my email to see what fun deals are awaiting me has been a nice little get away for me; plus I know it is time well spent to save my money for the things I want to do or have; so it is a win win! ?
