If you are still questioning, whether Carrie Rocha might be right for your group? Listen to Angie’s story, one of my lives that have been changed through Rocha’s classes:

“My life as I knew it changed when I attended a women’s retreat in February of 2009 and met Carrie Rocha. I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mom and, as most people these days, am always thinking it would be GREAT to save money. My only problem was that I didn’t really know about the way stores functioned or about couponing. We wanted to purchase a new home, but with our bills and financial situation, it didn’t seem possible at that point, if I wanted to continue to stay home.

In May 2009 I attended a series of Rocha’s classes where she broke things down, took things slow, answered lots of questions, and I was able to soak up the information like a sponge. I did my “homework” of figuring out good prices for items I already buy, finding out what stores have the best prices, as well as studying the ads for sale cycles. I started to get out of my comfort zone and step into new stores, pushing past the “this doesn’t feel like my safety zone” thoughts, knowing it would be good in the end. We, the students, reported back to Carrie during those classes on our triumphs and failures. She encouraged us and reminded us it was a process. We couldn’t get the deals she could get immediately. We had things to learn, just as she did over the past couple of years. At that point, I also started using her website, pocketyourdollars.com.

I took the information from those classes, and I ran with it! My husband and I set some goals, worked out a budget, and prayed that God would help us get to a place where we were good stewards of our money. We gradually started going through current bills and looked for better deals. (We went through our whole budget as Carrie encouraged.)

I am pleased to report that in July of 2009, we were able to purchase a lovely home of our own AND I still stay home with our kids! I know that God used Carrie Rocha in our lives to teach us things that we still had to learn. She came to us during a time when we needed to do some things on our side of the equation so that He could work out the rest. We have learned to live within our means, yet not sacrifice the things that are important to us (like buying some things organic and using natural personal care products). Now, we are working on paying off student loan debt and have had a mind shift, going from “how are we going to make it this month” to “how much extra can we pay on that debt this month”. We have not “arrived” and are still learning, but looking back to only one year ago, I look forward to where we will be next year!

This story does not end there. As I talk to friends and family that are struggling with these types of issues, I am able to tell them my story and help them with saving money as well. Carrie has blessed us and helped open doors I didn’t know even existed. I have found it is SO exciting to help other people along their journeys as well. I have caught the vision and will continue on for my family, as well as help as many others as I can along the way.”
