What I Buy at Sam’s Club
A few years ago when we put together our h-u-g-e Costco vs. Sam’s Club price comparison chart we surveyed our staff to find out what they purchased there. Here’s the list:
gum, Jif peanut butter, Skippy organic peanut butter, vinegar, taco seasoning, baking soda, minced garlic, salt, frozen french fries, spicy frozen corn, Crystal Light (seasonal), gas, Greek yogurt, sheet cakes, shredded cheese, block cheese, butter, milk, ground beef, eggs, whole wheat tortillas, edamame, raw almonds and pecans, cereal, meat
My unsolicited opinion: Sam’s and Costco are virtually one and the same where price is concerned. As someone who’s been a member of both clubs I picked the brand that was more conveniently located as there wasn’t enough material difference between them for me to judge any other way. Well, that’s not totally true, I also took into account which store had the least obnoxious parking lot and shopping experience on a Saturday afternoon. But that’s just me.
