Book and eBook buyers, listen up: Amazon has kicked off a new program called Kindle MatchBook.

What is Kindle MatchBook?

Kindle MatchBook gives you the chance to obtain a copy of the eBook version of the qualifying print books you purchase through Amazon at a reduced price—free to no more than $2.99. Kindle books can be read on a Kindle or with the free Kindle reading app.

Get a Kindle Match Book for $2.99 if you’ve purchased a hard copy of my book, Pocket Your Dollars: 5 Attitude Changes That Will Help You Pay Down Debt, Avoid Financial Stress, & Keep More of What You Make.

This program is good for past, current, and future print purchases, and Amazon keeps a record of your purchases for you. Log in to Amazon see if any of your past purchases qualify. There are 84,000+ titles available through Kindle Matchbook, and new titles are being added every day. Look for the MatchBook icon for qualifying titles.

Why Use Kindle MatchBook?

I for one am so glad Amazon has come out with an easy, inexpensive way to convert some previous book purchases to eBooks, as I often like to re-read books, and eBooks are more convenient for me these days. I can also see families with kids who read and re-read books might be especially apt to want a Kindle copy of a favorite book.

Your turn: Will you be using Kindle MatchBook to get eBook copies of your purchased books?
