It’s the best backpack sale of the year: get select backpacks from OfficeMax for just 1¢ after MaxPerks Rewards this week while supplies last. Limit 2.

These backpacks have a regular retail price of $14.99-$79.99, so you’ll pay the regular retail price, then check out with your MaxPerks ID # and get the retail price (minus a penny) back in MaxPerks Rewards to spend on a future purchase at OfficeMax.

OfficeMax backpacks

This promotion only applies to select backpacks online, but there are more varieties available in-store. I’m sure that these will sell out quickly (in fact, one variety is already sold out online) so it’s in your best interest to get what you need sooner rather than later.

The Best Part of This Deal

The super awesome thing is that because this MaxPerks offer is what I call a fixed dollar MaxPerks Reward offer. That means you earn a fixed dollar amount (the purchase price – $0.01) back in Rewards regardless of whether you pay using previously-earned MaxPerks Rewards or other discounts and coupons. This is a great time to use up your Rewards.

MaxPerks is a free loyalty program you can join online or in-store. Through it you can earn MaxPerks Rewards, which are store credit to use on a future purchase. Rewards are issued quarterly and do expire at the end of the quarter. Rewards cannot be used to purchase gift cards. You must use your MaxPerks ID at checkout online as no adjustments will be made after the fact.

PS – There are a handful of other MaxPerks deals available this week from OfficeMax.

Plus, shop through Pocket Your Dollars Rewards to get 1% cash back.

Your turn: Did you shop online or in-store for your 1¢ backpacks? Which type(s) did you get?

  1. Kate says

When we get the MaxRewards from the backpack deal in Sept/Oct, will we be able to use that on another rebate item?

    • says

Kate – Yes, you can use it on another Rewards-eligible item. Just note that if you use it for a percentage-based Rewards (like 100% back, for example), the Rewards you use will count against that percentage back.

If you use it for a fixed-amount Rewards item (like spend $24.99, get $24.98 back in Rewards) you’ll still get the full dollar amount back in Rewards.
