Living Word Food Ministry
One unique way to save on groceries is by purchasing a box of bulk foods from an organization like Living Word Food Ministry. This organization is sponsored by Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park. Each month they provide boxes of high-quality, cost-effective frozen food items with enough food to help feed a family for four for about a week (a Family Box is $37).
This program is open to everyone, regardless of income. There is no limit to the number of food boxes you can purchase. Order online or in person for this month’s box by Sunday, 5/19, then show up at Living Word on Saturday, 6/1 to pick up your order. If you order two or more boxes, they will deliver it to your home if you live in Hennepin County.
