The latest Twin Cities deals include a Science Museum discount for high school hockey fans, free films at the Mall of America, and a huge list of local walks and runs to enjoy as the weather warms up.
Your turn: What’s your favorite Twin Cities run or walk? Are you trying any new ones this year?
Twin Cities Walks and Runs
For a person who is not very athletic, I sure do like Minneapolis Northwest’s roundup of runs and walks around the Minneapolis – St. Paul metro area. No matter what your fitness level or favorite cause is, I’d bet there is a walk or run on this list that is perfect for you.
Body Worlds Exhibit Discount for High School Hockey Fans
It’s high school hockey tournament time again, and if you’re heading to downtown St. Paul to catch a game, you can take advantage of this deal, too: from 3/6 – 3/10, present your high school hockey tournament ticket stub at the Science Museum of Minnesota and receive $4 off an adult ticket (regularly $27) and $3 off a child’s ticket (ages 4‐12, regularly $19) to Body Worlds & The Cycle of Life and the Science Museum’s permanent exhibit galleries.
This is a great opportunity to fill that time between games with a little learning.
Sea Life Aquarium Coupons
Just in time for spring break trips to the Mall of America, the 3/3 Smart Source insert contains two coupons for Minnesota Sea Life Aquarium: Free child admission with purchase of regular priced adult admission, and 50% off any admission with purchase of regular priced adult admission. Both coupons expire on 6/16. You can use both coupons if you have at least four people (including one kid) going.

Free Family Flicks/Sensory Friendly Films
Speaking of the Mall of America, the Theatres at Mall of America still offer Free Family Flicks on Saturday mornings at 10am. This is a nice chance to catch up on some kids’ films you may not have seen yet, or the chance to see a favorite on the big screen for free. The films are first-come, first-served, though, so arriving early is a good idea. Upcoming films include Shark Tale, Shrek, Legend of the Guardians, and more.
As part of the same program, Theatres at Mall of America also host Sensory Friendly Films, a theatre where they show the same free film Saturdays at 10, only this time with lowered sound and the freedom to move around or make noise, perfect for kids with sensory issues. (Thanks for the reminder, Northern Cheapskate!)
Free Davanni’s Solo Pizza
Spot a Davanni’s billboard? Through 3/21, take a picture of a Davanni’s billboard and email it to Davanni’s with your address and you’ll receive a coupon for a free one-item Solo Pizza.
While you’re at Davanni’s enjoying your pizza (or, if you are me, your Three-Cheese Hot Hoagie on wheat, no onions), have the kids grab an entry to design Davanni’s next Kiddy Kup – the ultimate winner scores a free party for 20 people. Entries must be received by 3/24.
Feel free to contact us if you know of any additional coupons, deals and events available to readers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
