The latest Twin Cities deals include the Great Minnesota Train Expo, Macy’s Flower Show, a new Kids Club at Roundy’s, and a few bucks off your Punch Pizza.
Your turn: What is your family doing during Spring Break this year?
Rainbow Foods’ Burble and Friends Kids Club
Rainbow Foods has launched their new Burble and Friends Kids Club. It’s free to join, and benefits include a free wristband and sticker upon joining, a free sticker with each visit to Rainbow, and two free Roundy’s cookies on the child’s birthday. I like this idea – I’m all for anything to make family trips to the grocery store a little less painful.
Great Minnesota Train Expo
Gather your train fans young and old and head to the Eagan Community Center this weekend. On Saturday 3/23 (9am-5pm) and Sunday 3/24 (9am-3pm), the Great Minnesota Train Expo will offer giant Thomas train tables to play with, displays of model trains, Choo Choo Bob Show cast member appearances, storytime with Engineer Paul and more.
Ages 8 and under are free, and there is a printable coupon to get $2 off the $5 admission for attendees 9 and over. If you can’t make it to the Expo, don’t forget Choo Choo Bob’s Train Store in St. Paul has frequent free storytimes with Engineer Paul. (Thanks, Lollipopolis!)
White Bear’s Notorious Gangsters
Heads up for history fans: White Bear Lake Area Historical Society is hosting a free event on White Bear’s Notorious Gangsters on Monday, 3/25, from 6-7pm. The presentation will include stories of infamous gangsters who took refuge in White Bear in the 1920′s and 1930′s. The event is free but donations are welcome.
$3 Off at Punch Pizza Through Today
Through today, 3/20, Punch Pizza locations throughout the Twin Cities are offering $3 off any pizza. To get the discount, share your 6-word description of your Punch craving by commenting on their Facebook page or tweeting using the hashtag #cravepunch.
Macy’s Flower Show
Thank goodness it’s just about time for Macy’s Flower Show, as we have little to no chance of seeing blooms outdoors anytime soon. This year’s show runs from 3/24 – 4/7 in the 8th Floor Auditorium at Macy’s Minneapolis. You may also want to click on the “Events” tab on the Flower Show website, for information about related gardening, cooking, and art events.
Spring Break Roundup
Spring Break is here or coming up for many families, and About.com has a nice roundup of interesting places to visit and activities to try during Spring Break. I love lists like these, as we often get stuck in a rut of going to the same places.
Feel free to contact us if you know of any additional coupons, deals and events available to readers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
