Target Shopping List 4/1 – 4/6/13

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

As you get started shopping at Target we’d recommend getting familiar with Target’s price matching policy and Target’s coupon policy. You may want to bring printouts of these with you to the store so that you have them in case you run into issues. If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars, learn how to read this shopping list or troubleshoot problems when printing coupons.

Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. As readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store or we get emails with deal ideas, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

Target fanatics should check out the ever-changing supply of Target online coupons, be sure to sign up for Target’s text-messaged coupons and browse Target’s weekly ad online. Plus, if you have a Target card, you can get 5% off your total bill when you use the card to pay.

Your turn: What other great deals did you spot?

I don't see the $2/2 Up & Up Pain Relief Items on Shopkick.

I do see a $1.00 off Jergen's Natural Glow Skin Care Lotion. Wonder if it could be used with this making it free:

Jergen’s Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer (2 oz. travel size) $1.99

$1/1 Any Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer Product printable (click on The Glow Advisor in top right corner, click on “Find the Product for You”, and answer a few questions)

    Final price: $0.99 after coupon

  2. Emily Rinke says

Through Wednesday, the Endorse app is offering 50% off diapers (up to $5 off) which would go great with the Luvs deal.

  3. Rachel says

    Neutrogena Facial Bar Soap $1.97

$5/2 Neutrogena Hair, Hand, Body or Men’s Products from 2/24 Smart Source insert (limit 1 coupon per customer) (exp 4/27)

Final price: Two better than free after coupon

I was at the Lakeville Target last week, and the cashier and another cashier (head cashier?) would not accept the coupon. They stated that they could not accept it if the value was more than the product(s), and wouldn't adjust it down when I asked.

Has anyone else run into that problem?

  4. says

Rachel – That's strange that they wouldn't adjust it down, as their coupon policy states that they can do that:

"Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied."

I'd recommend printing off a copy of their coupon policy for future reference in case something like this comes up.

ETA: On second thought, I don't think that coupon should be used for that product as it is facial soap, not hand or body soap. I'll take it off the list.

The register would not sc an it and the cashier could not adjust it, but the manager did for me. This was at the Lakeville store.

  5. Nuui says

I bought 2 Jimmy Dean fresh sausage rolls today at 2.99 each, used the Target text messages coupons for 1.50 off With purchase of two Jimmy Dean fully cooked or fresh sausage items, then used a manufacturers coupon for 1.50 off two sausage rolls from 3/17 RP (wondering if everyone else only recieved .75 cents off two rolls coupons instead because that is the only one I see in the coupon database).. So anyway it was like getting them for half off!

  6. Terri says

I was at 3 different Target's today (4/3) and one out of the three was 70% off (Quarry). It was marked 50% but was 70%. The candy was still at 30%.

  7. Brittany says

I went in last night and actually had to purchase 4 Dove soap and 4 Vaseline lotions for the gift card deal to work. I got 2 gift cards! They are separate deals.

  8. Melissa W. says

I bought 3 Jack's pizzas on sale for $2.99 apiece and got an 8 count box of Drumsticks free today. I figured it would be a free 4 count box, but you could get any type they had. I don't know if there were any coupons available, but it still was a great deal.

  9. Lee says

That's why they say to get 14 of them. That way you are paying for 12 of them and you can use the coupon.

  10. Amy says

I had the exact same problem at the Riverdale Coon Rapids Target. After repeatly telling the cashier and head cashier that their coupon policy states that they will adjust down the coupon, they would not budge. I finally asked for the store manager. The store manager only did it because I wasn't going to take no for an answer. She said, I guess we can do it this one time! I guess I will make sure to have the Target store policy printed out with me next time.
