Twin Cities Pocketeers can enjoy some excellent meals, discount theater tickets, and free child’s admission to the History Center with the latest in Twin Cities deals.
Your turn: What’s your favorite restaurant deal during Restaurant Week?
Mpls St. Paul Restaurant Week
It’s that time again – Mpls St. Paul Magazine’s Restaurant Week runs 2/24-3/1. The Week is a great way to sample the fares of restaurants around the Twin Cities for more reasonable prices than usual. Fixed-price lunches run from $10-20, and dinners from $15-30. Restaurants do get busy for the promotion, though, so reservations are recommended.
Scrolling through the deals, I spotted an all-you-can-eat sushi lunch at Aji Japanese Restaurant in Hopkins for $10. It’s normally $12.95 at lunch, and the excellent quality makes it a great deal at the regular price (I’ve had some really, really good sushi at Aji). The fixed-price menus don’t include tax, tip, wine or other drinks.
*Tonight & Tomorrow Night* Discount Guthrie Tickets
The Guthrie Theater is featuring A Long Day’s Journey Into Night which has received rave reviews, and they still have discount tickets left for performances tonight, 2/21 and tomorrow night, 2/22. Tickets run $14.50-$29, instead of the usual $29-$58.
Warners’ Stellian Appliance Stimulus
From 2/23 to 3/3, Warners’ Stellian is offering up to $1700 in rebates per person on new appliances. Customers can go online (or in-store for those without internet access) and reserve rebates for appliances. Rebate amounts vary depending on the appliance and price. For example, a refrigerator that costs between $1,000 and $1,499 qualifies for a $150 rebate, and vacuums costing more than $328 qualify for a $50 rebate.
Grand Ave. Ladies Night Out
There’s still time to gather the girls together for Ladies Night Out on St. Paul’s Grand Avenue, Thursday, 2/28 from 5-9pm. The event includes fun little discounts and freebies at many of the businesses on Grand, as well as a punch card sweepstakes with gift card prizes. I’m especially interested in the buy one, get one free $25 Shellac manicure at Grand Hairdos and the delicious-sounding samples at Golden Fig Fine Foods. Who’s with me?
Free Child’s Admission to Then Now Wow
The Minnesota History Center has a printable coupon good for a free child’s admission to Then Now Wow, their latest kid-friendly exhibit. There is a catch, though – the coupon is only good this Saturday, 2/23. You can also use a coupon to get $5 admission to The Big Wow! Family Variety Show taking place on the same day. Sounds like a pretty exciting day of family fun to me. (Thanks, Lollipopolis!)
