Rainbow Foods, Copps, Pick ‘n Save Shopping List 2/3 – 2/9/13 (Incl. Double Double Daze 2/9)

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

This Saturday, 2/9 is Double Double Daze at all Roundy’s stores which means you can double 10 coupons per transaction instead of the usual 5!

If you are new to shopping Double Daze, be sure to read Roundy’s (Rainbow Foods, Copps, and Pick N Save’s) coupon policy before you get started to understand all the restrictions of their double coupon promotion.

If you shop at Copps and your ad doesn’t match the items mentioned in this shopping list, then check out what we saw for sales last week.

Two things to remember about this list of deals. First, it does not include every sale-priced item that has a coupon. It only has those items whose final price is low enough for us to mention it. Second, it is a starting list: as we learn of more deals whose final price is low enough, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

Great week for DDD! Thanks for the list.

  • Alison

I don't know if the newton cookie thins are still 1.99 at Rainbow but I noticed this morning that the coupon reset, hoping for more free cookies.

    • Intchina

Yesterday at Pick N Save those cookies were something like $3.49 :(

  • Alison

They were price cut at Rainbow for the last 2 weeks or so so I'm hoping they still are

    • Zach

They are not. 2/$7 I believe when I checked today.

  • Sue

There is a new Halls $1/2 coupon in the 2/3 Red Plum for this on-going deal:

Halls Cough Drops $1.39 (regular price)

$1/2 Halls Drops Single Bags 17 ct.+ from 1/6 Smart Source #2 insert (exp 2/11)

$1/2 Halls Drops Single Bags 17 ct.+ printable

$1/2 Halls Drops Single Bags 17 ct.+ printable

$1/2 Halls Drops Single Bags 17 ct.+ printable

Final price: $0.39 each after doubled coupon

  • Zach

I have a $1/1 printable for the Johnsonville Italian Sausage Links (vs. the $1/2 noted in the list).

    $1.49 each after doubled coupon.

    • Sue

Even better deal! I don't think that coupon will work on the

Johnsonville Pork Sausage Links or Patties (12 oz.) $3.00

though since the coupon is $1/1 Johnsonville Italian Sausage

      • Intchina

BTW, the $1/2 johnsonville product printable I got from coupons.com (I think it is the one you are referring to here) says 'do not double' – has anyone seen it actually double?

  • Jenny

Thanks for this weeks list, I will be using all my rain checks from the past few weeks on Saturday for DDS :)

    • Intchina

You know what – I never thought about dong that! This is an excellent idea! My PnS is always out of sale stuff on DDD days!

  • Jenny

There is a catalina printing when you MIO liquid water flavoring, get 1.00 cat when you buy 2 I can't remember if it's buy 3 and get a 2.00 cat and if you buy 4 or more you get a 3.00 cat. They are 4.28 regular price, use the 1.00 of one from SS 1/27/13 (?) Buy two and it's like getting them for 1.78 each or if you factor in that could use the catalina on any product and double it it's even better. I got a few on Saturday and plan on using the catalinas for items that I need but don't ever get coupons for.

To call and place an order for something thats on sale,do you have to order a certain amount or can you just have a small amount set aside?

    • Dawn N

I'd like to know how to do that too ? I am wondering if you call it in or give a list and if it can be for the one or two items or just for large amounts of items? Will call this am.

      • Holly

I shop at pns and I have placed numerous orders ahead. I have placed small and large orders and I have never had a problem with quantity amounts. I have ordered anywhere from 2 items up to cases with absolutely no problems.

  • Jill Pearson

I dont think the activia is included. Only the 32 oz dannon yogurt

    • Sue

My ad lists Dannon 32 oz. yogurt, 4 pk. Activia 14-18 oz. Danimals..

  • JT

    Hi…

Thanks for all this great info. I shop at a Pic N Save in Wisconsin, so not sure the deals translate exactly, but two items I want to share. Excedrin 20 count bottles are $2.00 each this week and there is a $1.00 off coupon from Smart Source. I had five so when doubled, got those free. Remember, you can add a gas card to get yourself up to the $25 or even a Pic N. Save or Copps card. Also, we have a Unilever deal going on at Pic N. Save, where you buy $20 of Unilever personal products and you get an automatic $7.00 off your receipt. This is really fun. I bought six bottles of Axe body wash running $4.00 each on sale. I used two B2/G1 free coupons, and then right on the bottles was a $1.00 off coupon. So I used 4 of these which doubled. So all in, I got 6 bottles x $4.00 less $8.00 doubled coupons, less $8.00 for the two free bottles, and $7.00 for the Unilever deal. All six for $1.00 plus tax. This deal is also for Tresomme, and many other products. Not sure if Copps stores will see this, but this is really like they are giving away so many items if you have the coupons…really fun.

    • Intchina

My PnS's (N Milwaukee/Brown Deer) never let me 'stack' manufacturer's coupons, technically it's against the coupon policy: sounds like you were able to use more than 1 manufacturer's coupon per item, which was – I assume – entered manually. Am I correct?

      • Julie

Hmmmm. You can not stack manu coupons. I also didn't think you could use bogo coupons and use other coupons to go with it. you can't use do that at Rainbow. Can anyone confirm this?

    • Michelle

Rainbow/PnS/Copps gift cards can't be used to reach the $25 threshold to double coupons, since they updated their coupon policy in December. You can still use other gift cards though. :)

  • Jill Pearson

ok i see now i was looking online

Duncan Hines Cake Mix – Buy 1, Get 1 Free

$0.50/1 Duncan Hines Signature Red Velvet Cake Mix printable

Final price: ?? after doubled coupon (Roundy’s coupon policy prohibits using a coupon on the item you get free in a buy one, get one free sale.)

Don't see the coupon? Did I miss it or is it gone?

    • Terri G

I looked too they must have ran out…I printed my coupon yesterday however if you register with the Duncan Hines Bakers Club Newsletter I received a email the other day getting two coupons one for $.50 off Red Velvet Cake and $.50 off Frosting Creations.

      • intchina

I just printed one last night, and it is still on the website now, so, I do not think they ran out.

  • Jodi

Help! I always write the date on the front of the Red Plum and SmartSource inserts, but I have two recent ones that do not have the dates. The Red Plum has a picture of Miller 64 beer and the SmartSource says "Healthy Essentials" and has a picture of two adults and a baby and some Johnson & Johnson products on the front. Anyone know the dates of these inserts??? THX!

    • Sarah

The one with Healthy Essentails is from 1-6. The other one I don't have so it is probably from the end of Dec when I was on vaction and missed the paper.

      • Jodi

        Thank you so much, Sarah!

    • JoAnna

You can look on the spine of the coupon insert–the sate is listed in very fine print.

      • Jodi

JoAnna – what a good thing to know!! Thx!

        • JoAnna

Ooops–the date not sate :) Glad I could help.

    • K

If you look along the spine of the insert, the date will be printed there. HTH!

    • Sue

The date an insert was issued is printed on the spine of each insert in tiny print.

    • Bobbie

The one with the Miller 64 on the front is from 1/6

  • Intchina

Mario olives coupon says 'do not double', pls, it is one of those 'low-tech' coupons, and I am not positive i can print 2 or more for different transactions, because the number is the same above the bar code 0073651-010052. Anyone is seeing a different number, or is everyone getting the same one?

    • Luba

It's a pdf; therefore, they are all the same barcode number. However, I have printed two of the same coupons from coupons.com, and they have the same barcode number as well.

  • Intchina

    Cuties coupon is out

  • Intchina

Contadina coupon works on pasta sauce, too (usually $0.69 for a small can in my store), Plus, some are 25% off, not sure if it applies to pasta sauce, though.

  • Rachel

I can never seem to find the Dole Fruit crisps in my Rainbow foods store. Does anyone know what isle they are located in? They are not in the dried fruit isle at my store. Thanks!

    • Amy

The Dole Fruit Crisp are where the fruit cups are and canned fruit, so that where they are found!

  • sarah

Went to Target today to compare the price of chuck roast and was shocked to see it at $5.99/lb Holy heck-for chuck???? I guess the $3.50/lb isn't so bad a price.

Love the gift card deals, I use the Applebees one on Monday night $5.00 burger, wings & beer night! My daughter uses them on the late night deals and nobody knows you got a deal. Also I have free grocery money to use. Great valentines gifts too, thats what I'm doing with the BWW I bought last week. If you buy things from that retailer like Lowes anyway its a win win deal!

I just noticed over the weekend on the bottom of my receipt something called 'hamperks'

It says earn hamperks for every $10 spent in a single order using your rewards card to earn a discount on roundy's spiral sliced half ham. Does anyone know anything more about this promotion? Like how many hamperks you need for a good discount? etc?

Can I use the buy3/get 1 free coupon and the 1.00/3 if I buy 4 of the Capri Sun?

    • Intchina

No, I do not think so: these are both manufacturer's coupons and it is either-or, you can't use two or more on the same items – each coupon states: limit one coupon for the purchase of item(s) specified.

Did anyone find the Dole frozen single serve cups in their Rainbow?

I've been couponing at CVS for a couple months now but I need to start grocery couponing. I'm totally new at this so sorry if I ask stupid questions… In the same transaction as the doubled coupons can you use other coupons and they just don't double? So I spend $25 and can save more than $10? Otherwise was someone saying I could get the $10 worth of stuff and then do a $15 giftcard to like Applebees? I'm just curious, because Rainbow is a long ways away for us but I don't know any other grocery stores in Minnesota that double their coupons? Thanks!

    • Kris L

You can use as many coupons as you want…only the first 5 (per transaction) are doubled on a regular double days (10 on double double days). Make sure your highest value ones ($1) are on top.

To optimize the amount of coupons doubled, I will typically do 2 or 3 transactions.

Yes, you can use gift cards to get your total to $25, but you can not purchase Rainbow gift cards to do that.

    • Heather

Also, on Saturday, for the double double daze do you have to spend $25 still or do you have to spend $50? Thanks!

    • intchina

Yes, you can totally use other coupons in the same transaction, but I suggest giving the cashier the higher value coupons that you would like to double first. i.e. if you have 5 $1 coupons and 2 $0.75 coupons, hand over the $1 coupons first. I like using coupons with a value over $1 on double days, it helps reach the $25 threshold without spending too much.

There is something you have to remember, though, about doubling: if an item is, say, $1.07, and the coupon is $1, it will not double, per se, it will take off $1 + $0.07 for the remainder of the price. So, if you have another item that is $1.5, but the coupon is $0.75, it may be a good idea to double that one, and just use the $1 coupon for the $1.07 without doubling, it saves more money that way. I hope it makes sense.

Also, you can do up to 7 transactions a day with the same Roundy's card, that helps to use more coupons. However, try not to do them all at once, but 2 to 3 transactions at a time, otherwise the people behind you will be pretty upset ;) (but most likely the cashier simply won't let you do that many anyways).

Another thing, one of the cashiers at Pick N Save (Wisconsin) mentioned to me that you can not use more than 5 Internet coupons at once as per the new policy. I have never had issues with that before or after (so, I do use more than 5 usually), so, I wonder if they were correct. Anybody?

  • intchina

Nope, still only $25 for 10 doubled coupons. Pretty nice, eh?

  • intchina

One of the Pick N Saves I go to does not have them anymore, another has only strawberries. I was told by an associate that they may be discontinued soon, judging from how much they are getting vs. how much they used to be getting. I have seen the strawberry, pineapple and blueberry before, but now just one type :(

I don't understand how we can use Target coupons in the P & G Deal? Thanks.

    • mary

I don't know specifically which coupons you are speaking about, but some of the coupons on Target.com are mfg coupons (the ones that say "when you buy.."). HTH

  • Lydia

There is a $1 Huggies wipes printable if you go to the Huggies Facebook page and play their Mess Manor game. It says "do not double" on top, and has the new barcode (with no numbers) on it. My question is, will it still double??? I had used these before the new barcodes and they always doubled~cashiers said if they doubled on their own they let them go through. Now that there isn't a "5", will the info "do not double" also be contained in that new barcode??? These are $2 (and usually priced at that) so would make for some free wipes this week! Plus there is a $25 deal going on where you get $5 back instantly when you buy $25 of Huggies things. My idea would be to use 13 of those handy coupons, and IF they will double the first 10 (on Sat), I'd end up paying $3 for 13 packs of wipes. Then with the $5 instant off I'd actually be ahead by $2 with that particular order. If anyone knows about the new barcodes and can let me know that would be wonderful! : )

    • Jenny

Whether it would work or not you can only use 5 identical coupons per day per person.

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Lydia – It may or may not double. Now that the new barcode is out those details aren't as evident. I usually just assume they won't double and then am pleasantly surprised if/when they do.

  • Lydia

I hadn't seen a "5 indentical per day" rule…I'll have to go over the rules to see what else I may have missed. I shop at Copps, so wonder if the 5 coupon rule does not apply there???

  • Lydia

Whew huuu! The 5 coupon limit is for Rainbow only…so Copps should be ok with 13 of the same. We have a LOT of these on our shelves, so no worries about my clearing the shelves. I think there is 4 or 5 shelves full of huggies wipes, plus separate displays of them. I have a 5 month old so these will definitely come in handy!

  • Nancy

Hi, Holly. How does one go about making orders? And what do you say? Thank you.

  • Josh

I have a question about the "Do Not Double" wordage on many coupons.

In my experience as long as the coupon is $1 or under these "Do Not Double" coupons ALWAYS double at Rainbow with no issue whatsoever(they scan fine and they double fine)

And why shouldn't they "double" in the first place? Rainbow is the one paying for the "doubling" not the manufacturer who issued the coupons.

Why does the manufacturer of such coupons care if a STORE wants to pay the price to double the coupon?

    • sarah

Try telling that to some of the cashiers!

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

      Josh – That's the million-dollar question, isn't it? :)

We post the "Do Not Double" wording as listed on the coupon as it's Roundy's *official* policy that they will not double coupons that are not eligible for doubling (you can read the fine print here: http://images.gsngrocers.com/staticcontentv2/uplo….

  • Lydia

Excellent point Josh!!! I completely agree. Copps has always doubled them too, but that was with the old barcode. And if the barcode starts with 5 it can be doubled. But I've heard that if it started with a 9 (for example) that it won't. I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I do a trial run with some of the Huggies dnd coupons. Best case they are FREE wipes; worst case they cost me a buck a pack, which is still an ok deal. : )

    • Josh

The new "barcode" has been around for a while now and even coupons that say "DND" and only have the new barcode still do double at Rainbow.(as they should)

I'm guessing the "do not double" wordage is for very SELECT areas of the U.S. (Talking Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) Where maybe this is stores who actually double coupons but the manufacturer pays for the doubling rather than the store.

That is just a guess though!

      • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Some coupons with the new barcode are coded to not double if they say "do not double" and there's no way to tell by looking at the coupon. I believe we ran into that issue a couple of months ago with the Bear Creek Pasta coupons.

Also note that since it's Roundy's *official* coupon policy to not double coupons that say "Do Not Double," your cashier/manager may choose to not double the coupons that have this language, regardless of whether they scan and double or not.

  • Trinity

Hi All! I'm totally new to grocery couponing… and I've noticed that the prices don't seem to match up. Are some stores delayed in prices by a week? Is that why there is a note that if ads don't match up, check out the previous ad instead?

    • intchina

Pick N Save in Wisconsin, for instance, would start this price cycle tomorrow (we are 4 days behind Rainbow/Roundy's). We go Thursday-Wednesday, whereas Roundy's seems to be on a Sunday-Saturday cycle.

Very convenient when preparing for my Saturday double daze in advance ;)

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Trinity – Some stores (select Copps/Pick 'n Save stores) have ads that run Thursday-Wednesday instead of Sunday-Saturday. We use the Rainbow Foods ad (which is Sunday-Saturday) as a basis for each week's list. That may be the issue you're running into.

Also note that the on-going deals section contains deals that were *not* listed in any of the weekly ads, so prices you see there may vary from what you find in your store.

  • craig

Is the Unilever deal still going on this week?

  • anne

I used the b3g1 coupon on capri suns and bought a fifth one and received the $4.00 catalina making all 5 boxes .80 cents each

  • Kris L

I didn't see this on the list, but my Rainbow (Maple Grove) had Velveeta Shells and Cheese for $1.99 a box this morning. There's a printable on coupons.com for $1/2. So $1 a box is not bad!

  • Terri G

Yes the Angry birds grahams are included in the 2 for $7.00 I just picked up two boxes this morning for $1.50 each…

  • Chera

Can anyone tell me if I use the BOGO tresseme coupon if the free ones price will count towards the $25??

    • intchina

Yes, most definitely. You double the "double-worthy" coupons first, and then do the BOGO. But per the coupon policy it does not really matter, $25 has to be after store promotions and store coupons. Manufacturer's coupons do not interfere with that.

      • intchina

Plus, look for "$1.75 off 1" peelies on the TRESemme hair products, I found a few last time I shopped.

        • Chera

Great thanks! Still trying to work out my totals.

  • intchina

Jello $1/1 is out of coupons :(

Also, the Huggies wipes game on their Facebook website is WAY TOO HARD (sorry, I am not playing it again!). So, no coupon for me :(

  • intchina

I can't find the Huggies Wipes $0.5/1 coupon anywhere. Are they out?

  • intchina

My PnS had 4ct. Pillsbury rolls for 10/10 yesterday till 2/10/2013

Also, Gardein Chicken Tenders for 2.99 till 3/3/2013

Does it mean other stores may have the same going on as well?

  • Lydia

There is a $1/1 Huggies wipes on their facebook page. Just play their Triple Mess Manor. You can print it multiple times, and it does not say "only one print".

    • See

I thought you were only allowed to print 2 coupons per device? Are the numbers on the coupons different or are they all the same?

  • Ann

During the last DD days @ PnS WI, I was told the new rule was a limit of 5 identical cpns per order (no matter what the source), and sure enough, the last three of my eight identical manufacturer cpns didn't double. Has anyone else encountered this?

  • Kristin

The Roundy's 24oz white bread is 10/$10, which is a pretty good price at 4.2¢ per ounce. It's cheaper per ounce than the 16oz Walmart store brand bread (5.5¢) or the 16oz Copp's Clear Value brand (5.6¢) . (Having tried all of them, the Roundy's bread is much better quality, too. It doesn't get torn apart making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, LOL!)

  • Rosemary

How many transaction can you do in a day with Rainbow?

I want to do a total of 5 transaction in one store visit, will they allow me?

  • JT

I'll comment on some of the points raised below. I have Not lately had a problem at PicNSaves buying a gas card to get to $25. I didn't see that in the coupon policy posted in Dec.

Here's the pic n save link which is likely the same for Rainbow and Copps: (I'm on my work computer so no viruses will be on the download :)

    http://images.gsngrocers.com/StaticContent/Upload

And the Axe deal allowed me to stack the 4 one dollar coupons, and still use the B2/G1, along with the Unilever rebate. However, just last night, I tried to get the P&G deal going on here that gives you a $10 Visa card (in the mail) when you spend $35. I bought the Mach 3 disposables. Bought 4 at $8.99. Used $3 off any Gillette disposable on the two I bought, then the B1/G1 free Mach 3 disposables. So all in it would be $8.99 x 4 less $6 coupons, less $17.98 for the two free ones and less $10 for the Visa card. So four packets of razors for about $3.00 total. But the register did beep with "not enough items matching coupons". This is the first time this has ever happened, so maybe the registers are now reflecting a "no manufacture stacking" policy. The store office was unsure why it didn't work because it is new to them too and they were unaware if the policy changed, so they did give me the $3.00 x 2 coupons on an adjustment. Looks like this type of stacking might be getting harder at Pic N Save. Too bad, because this is a really important strategy for coupons that will be lost. Espcially with prices moving all over the place each week. The same Mach 3 disposables are on sale starting tomorrow for $7.49. Drives one crazy. If you have a good stacking strategy and don't need the double coupons, head to Walgreens and CVS who still allow it all. Target doesn't. You can never use a coupon plus a coupon on a buy 2. But they do allow you to use a coupon on the one you buy and get the second one free if you have the B1/G1 free coupon….my head is spinning too.

  • JT

FYI..Pic N Save usually doubles the "do not double coupons". It was explained to me that they can make the decision, overriding the manufacturer but who knows.

    .

  • JT

I cringe at how much I've overspent at Target, but when they are on every corner in the Twin Cities where I lived for 20 years, , they lure you in. Stacking the manufacturer coupons with the Target coupons, or the $5 card deals is about the only way Target comes in ahead. I did just lately buy some One beyond dog food. The small bags were $6.99 (which is a good price), less a $3.00 coupon, less a $2.00 Target store coupon, so got them for $1.99. This was good deal for sure.

  • JT

While I don't see it in the new policy, my cashier didn't let me use a B2 get 1 Free candy bar coupon from the internet.. I just went to their display and ripped one off right next to the register. That seemed pretty restrictive.

Also, I've been able to buy a Pic N Save card to get to the 25 dollars. Just FYI.

  • JT

You should be able to use the Catalina Slips that come after your transactions as these are also manufacturer coupons. Many check out clerks don't realize this.

  • JT

Yeah…the cashiers are the ones that adjust it to double. Where's the policy on this so it is predictable each time? What am I missing….maybe a really good detailed coupon policy would be a good thing. Even the Dec policy has a lot of grey area in the wording. Ugggh.

Everyone…please please check your receipts. I'm running 1 out of 2 that are incorrect. Yesterday, two avocados rang up wrong… Remember, at least at Pic N Save, they have a double back the differenc on the first of multiple items in addition to the correction. Just ask for it. The policy is posted on the wall…not always easy and they don't always just offer it.

JT – The official policy is that they do not double manufacturer's coupons that are not eligible for doubling (coupons that say "Do Not Double"). You can read the fine print here: http://images.gsngrocers.com/staticcontentv2/uplo

However, many/most cashiers and managers do not enforce it. I just figure they won't double and then am pleasantly surprised if they do. Since it's the official policy that they won't double, I don't complain if they don't.

  • JT

For those doing the Huggies deal, there is a new deal coming (starting at Pic N Save tomorrow) that will give an immediate $5 saving for purchasing $25 and the Huggies are priced again at

$2 for the refills or $6 for the big ones. I always check the next week sale circular before heading to DD on Wednesdays because often the next weeks deals are better. Live and learn on that.

  • Heidi

Sure can! :) I think it is 7 transactions you can do with your Roundy's card per day. They have told me they don't like to check out people with more than 2 transactions at a time so I will do 2 and then go back and do 2 more and so on until I'm finished. I like just doing 2 at a time anyway because I'm a little scatter brained and get my coupons mixed up if I'm doing too many at once. :)

  • Heidi

I was wondering about that as I saw it was posted last week. I've not tried it so that is good to know, thank you!

  • Terri G

it is a great idea I have birthdays coming up so I bought Applebees and iTunes for $50.00 got a $10.00 coupon to use in the store for future purchases. It is a win win deal!

  • scat

AS a recall, there were a number of people having trouble with Java, which you need to get smart source coupons. I tried again today, and it has finally downloaded. So if you have been having trouble with it, give another try, since it seems they have worked out the bugs.

Hi again everyone. Am I really able to use a coupon that states, "Reedemable at Walmart" at Copps? I know at CVS I'm not able to use a coupon that has another store logo on. Thanks so much. Sorry, I'm asking a lot of questions because I'm new to all of this. I appreciate everyone being so kind!! :)

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Trinity – As long as it says "redeemable at" instead of "redeemable ONLY at," you should be fine.

Nothing wrong with asking lots of questions – before you know it, you'll be the one helping newbies out! :)

      • Trinity

        Thank you so much Laura!

  • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Ann – I've heard two things:

    1) Copps and Pick 'n Save may be switching to the "limit 5" that Rainbow Foods has.

    or

    2) This was just a glitch – their registers were configured the same as Rainbow's accidentally.

I'm not sure which one is true right now. Currently the Copps/Pick 'n Save coupon policy does *not* have the limit 5 restriction that the Rainbow Foods policy does, so I'm assuming that officially no change has been made. We'll let you know as soon as we find out for sure (if that does happen).

48 Hr sale Friday and Saturday:

Kraft mac and cheese – 78 cents (limit 4)

    $1 off 3 on coupons.com =

    • jen

is the 48 hour sale only at rainbow?. Or I it an unadvertised promo?

      • Brock

Sorry, my store is a Copps. Maybe it isn't for everyone? It showed up on the Copps site with the Weekly Ad this morning.

        • Annette

It's on the Rainbow website too!! Super exciting!

        • Christina

It's also on the Pick n Save website!!

  • Brock

Also on the 48 Hr sale:

Pepsi 24-Packs are 4.98 (limit one)

My store has had $1 off one peelies on those, so you can get one for $2.98 on Saturday.

JT – Roundy's stores do not accept printable coupons for "free" products (including b1g1, b2g1, etc.):

"Roundy’s does NOT accept internet printed coupons containing the following conditions:

o FREE product offers or Buy One Get One Free offers."

does the 3.0o coupon work on the 2.99 Poise? I thought since the system updated it wouldn't give overage? thanks

I used it yesterday on the $2.99 Poise. Rung up as $2.99 so the Poise was free…no 1 cent overage.

    Thanks.

  • intchina

I do not know if you guys are aware of this, but Pick N Save has their own manufacturer's coupon website (not as abundant as coupons.com, but still pretty good), and those coupons are independent from those on Coupons.com or the Walmart coupon website. So, you can print extra of those you want.

  • Jill Pearson

    were do you find that?

  • Jill Pearson

found it lol! I always rattle my mouth b/4 looking 0.O. Need to quit that

  • Michelle

Gas cards were among the "other gift cards" (or Applebees, Amazon, etc) I was referring to that you can still use to reach the $25 threshold to double coupons. You can't use Rainbow/PnS/Copps gift cards. Here's the exact wording from the policy "A Roundy’s Banner Gift Card purchase cannot be used toward Double Coupon $25 threshold."

  • http://bdbsak@msn.com Deb

Yes, the rebate form that I found at the customer service counter is good until 3/10/13. The rebate is called "Reward yourself, Support A Hero". It is valid on many P&G items that were not pictured in the ad. All items must be purchased in one transaction.

  • Michelle

Just FYI…most of the gift cards come at a minimum of $25 (as oppose to $10, $15). I know Starbucks cards (and maybe a few others) come with smaller denominations. I've found the gas or amazon cards work out well for me, because I'd be spending money those places regardless. :)

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Michelle – Agreed. I usually get BP cards since I stop there, anyway, or Starbucks (and maybe Subway) in smaller denominations. I load the Starbucks cards onto my gold card to earn my Starbucks Rewards, too. :)

  • Sue

    Click on See Older Comments.

    We're on page 2!

  • Michelle

Great explanation! One of the cashiers told me once that they were supposed to scan your $1 coupons first, then descend in value. I'm assuming that's to try to get customers the most money, assuming that none of the coupons were adjusted down. Sometimes you don't want to double your $1 coupons, just like in your examples. It's funny the crazy things you hear sometimes.

  • AsUntoTheLord

Woohoo for DDDaze! Anyone have a current list of GM cereal prices? I have one but it is old…

    • Jackie

These are some of the ones I checked at Cottage Grove Rainbow:

Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch $3.99

Peanut Butter Toast Crunch (smaller box) $3.19

      Fiber One 80 Chocolate $4.13

      Reeses Puffs (smaller box) $3.33

      • sarah

        Basic 4 $3.99

        Chex most varieties $3.33

        • Julie

The cheapest ones are: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, CocoaPuffs, and Trix $2.99-$3.19. Kix are also in there, regular cheerios too.

  • jen

If you have printed the coupons from a different site you are not able to print them again from the copps site. I have tried and it has not worked for me.

    • intchina

Works for me after Walmart and Coupons.com. I don't know why

  • Rosemary

If the coupon says "redeemable at walmart" can you still use it at a different store?

    • intchina

Yes, as long as it does not say "redeemable ONLY at Walmart". I use those all the time at Pick N Save.

  • rachel

I will be checking out a few times on Saturday. Does anyone know if I can purchase the Chuck Roast deal more then once? I've never tried before.

    • intchina

All of the deals always work for me a second time, etc. in separate transactions. Good luck!

  • sarah

A lot of the deals say with in ad coupon. Was there a coupon book sent out?

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Sarah – There may be a flyer in-store with the coupons included. I didn't get anything sent to my house (but I haven't checked the mail yet today).

  • Kara

Also, if you are in Wisconsin, your PNS ad could be different, too. For instance, the Milwaukee PNS ad has the GM cereal as noted above. (Buy 6, save $9 and get a free gallon of milk) The West Bend ad has the GM cereal "deal" as buy 6 boxes at regular price and save $3 and get a free gallon of milk.

  • Heather

Has anyone been able to get the $1 huggie's wipes coupon. I go to the facebook site, but I only see a diaper coupon.

    • Sarah S

Go to the Huggies Facebook page. Click on the "Triple Mess Manor" link, play the game, and then you can get the coupon.

      • Heather

It looks like the coupons is now 75 cents and still do not double.

      • Heather

        Thank you!

  • Intchina

Hillshire farms coupon seems to be gone

  • Rachel

Can someone remind me, if you have $25 of items can you still double coupons before the $9 GM cereal deal is taken off? Thanks!

    • Sue

Yes, the $9.00 counts towards the $25

      • Intchina

Are you positive? I read comments on this forum that instant savings do not count towards $25. Anybody?

        • Drew

I think the registers generally tally the $25 threshold based on the the full shelf price of items. Luckily, with a Double Double, getting to $25 is easy.

        • sarah

Did the deal on Wednesday and it did double.

        • Jennifer

The $9.00 comes off instantly before the subtotal is figured out I believe. I always thought if you were purchasing the cereal deal your total before coupons would need to be $34.00.

        • mary

We did a test run at CS, and on the computer it does count toward the $25, and the computer will double. However, the rules at Rainbow state it is after store deals, so it really depends on your cashier. If they look at the screen (as some at my store do) they won't allow until that says $25.

  • Sue

The $1/1 Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch Cereal printable is no longer available.

    • sarah

Too bad I was hoping to print some-tried that cereal and its really good.

  • AsUntoTheLord

How the $25 is calculated varies by store. Per the official policy it should be based on sale price, which may or may not 'include' the instant savings. However, some report that their store's system calculates the $25 by regular price. If you're not sure about your store, you might try running a 'trial' order. You would want the value of your items to hit $25 before sales/store promotions and have them scan one coupon you know should double, if it doesn't you'll know that store's system is based on sale price, not regular price. You can also bring a 'backup item' (such as a gas card or some other needed item) that you know would bring your total over $25 even after sales if you don't want to scrap the whole thing in the event it is based on sale prices (they can then take off the one coupon, add the item, and scan it again). I find CS usually doesn't know and will simply tell you the policy, which would obviously be your safer route, but not cheapest. :-) HTH If you know what store you'll be shopping, maybe post that so someone who shops there might know/respond.

    • scat

I did the GM cereal deal at both the Midway and Larpenteur stores. I both cases I was under $25 when the $9 was subtracted and in both cases my coupons all doubled.

  • Drew

I think that is usually the "full" size loins, about 20" long., maybe 5 lbs?

  • Nancy

Hi. Has anyone tried using the $1 or $.75 Huggies printable coupons that says "Do not double"? Just wanted to know if it'll double anyway so I know how to arrange my transactions. Thank you.

  • Ashley

Is the sweet baby rays sauce still on sale? Or ehy does it say regular price?

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Ashley – Some of the deals we list in the "on-going deals" section are based on regular (shelf) price, not sale price or "cutback" price.

  • Mary

Is it really prices 2.99? I checked PNS website and the feminine wash shows $3.99.

  • Katy

There is a new pillsbury sweet roll deal listed here stating that the 5ct sweet rolls are $1. Has anyone seen this in the store because that is a super deal? The 5ct sweet rolls are normally $4

    • scat

I saw the signs on the shelves, but no product in two different stores. Wish I had checked the date to see how long it runs. Not optimistic that they will refill the shelves this week.

  • Anne

Does anyone know if the 1.99 deal on Velveeta mac and cheese at Copps is on any flavor or just plain?

    • Nancy

Anne, it is only the original that is $1.99.

  • Katy

scat, was this deal for the grands rolls?

    • scat

I'm pretty sure it was not the grands.

  • Maria

I love getting rain checks when that happens! the 5Ct rolls are most likely the itty bitty rolls not the super big luscious ones.

    • rachel

That's right…there were two of the Grands Jr. on sale for $1 at my store. Neither were sweet rolls though.

  • Sarah S

It's $1 if you share it. I just emailed it to my husband and 2 of my other email addresses and then it went up to $1.

  • Chrissy

If I want to buy 8 boxes of kellogs cereal will pickn save allow me to double more than 2 different coupons so to get 8 dollars off? I have coupons for 1 off 2 boxes and 1 off 3 boxes.

    • mary

If you buy 8 boxes, you could use the number of coupons to equal 8 or less boxes (so 2 for "off 3" and 1 for "off 2"). They should all double.

  • Sarah S

Is the 48-hour sale only at Rainbow. I didn't see it on the Pick 'n Save website (I'm in Wausau, WI).

    • Chelle

I didn't see it anywhere on mine either. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot or something. I did see some signs in store (like on the Kraft mac and cheese) so it must have been at PNS too. I got the mac and cheese :) I'm in Kimberly, WI.

      • Sarah S

I found the ad at the store and used a couple of the coupons. I wanted to get the Mac and cheese, too, but they were out by the time I got there. :(

  • Paige

In the general mill cereal deal limit 1 per day? Or could I do 1 deal per transaction?

    • mary

The ad says nothing about limit 1, but I saw a sign in back on display that said limit 1. I asked and they didn't even know about it. there has never been a limit before, so???

    • Terri

I just 3 this morning and it worked perfectly fine for me.

  • Ashley

How many of the same coupons can you use one transaction?

    • mary

Rainbow says 5 for like item per day.

  • Chrissy

It days 4 coupons per transaction but I don't know if pick n save will double all four.

  • Trinity

Newbie here again. I purchased 6 capri this morning and it didn't trigger the $4 reward for a future use. :(

Did I do something wrong? Am I supposed to buy a particular kind only? Has anyone else been able to get the catalina?

    • sarah

I did that with the Capri Sun and the Capri Sun 100% juice and they both worked.

      • Julie

Worked for me too. Sometimes the cashiers forget to give it to you. I always double check.

    • Heather

The catalina printer can also be slow. Be sure to say something if you don't get one. I have also been sucessful going back to the store with my receipt, but it depends on the cashier.

    • HollyC

I got the catalina for the Capri Sun today… it didn't print right away, though. My husband was just finishing the last of the bagging when it finally spit out. Probably 30 seconds after we paid.

    • Michelle

Maybe you purchased the wrong kind. I guess the catalina is for Roaring waters and SuperV. I didn't pay enough attention and must have gotten the wrong kind too, as my catalina didn't print either.

      • Chelle

I didn't get my Catalina for either the Capri Sun or the GM deal :( I was so hung up on remembering that I needed a raincheck; I totally spaced on making sure I got the Catalinas. Grr. And the service desk was closed by this point anyway. Usually I hear the beep before it spits them out and I don't recall if it did or not. According to Coupon Network: Save up to $4.00 CAPRI SUN YourBucks® Offer in future savings when you buy three or more CAPRI SUN, Roaring Waters or Super-V products (excluding CAPRI SUN Big Pouch 11.2oz). So I took that as regular Capri Sun plus Roaring Waters plus Super V. Hmm??? I purchased 3 of the regular ones. I might be reading it wrong, though.

        • anne

i purchased 6 regular capri sun at kimberly pns and got the cat. i also did the cereal deal and got the milk coupon also. this was about 9:30am.

  • Katherine

During my trip today, my cashier was having trouble with the Chapstick coupon as it did not want to double. She called the manager over to fix it and said it had been happening a lot on Wednesday too. Also, the Barilla coupon ($1 off when you buy pasta and sauce) is automatically only taking off the price of the pasta–$1 off, then .25 off. Cashier said that is the way that particular company set up that coupon and Rainbow could not change it. So I paid $1.50 instead of 75c for the two, still a good deal.

    • sarah

I had a problem with the chapstick as well. It took off $1 and then doubled to only $0.39 which is the shelf price of one of the chapstiks I thought of going back but seems pointless over $0.60 Good to know on the barilla-I was going to go back later and do another transaction, but I will hold off now.

      • Paige

It happened to one of my chap stick coupons.

    • Heather

My cashier this morning had to manually double my Barilla coupon. It didn't even want to ring up. She said sometimes it had been ringing up fine sometimes and for no reason other times it didn't work. Sure enough the two people behind me used one too. It worked smooth for one person and didn't for the other.

      • kimm

I had the same issue. The 1st one doubled no problem, the last 3 only beeped. She had to manually override them.

  • sarah

All of the Duncan Hines flavor creations had $1 off one peelie on them. They were on sale for $1.79 so I got them for free.

Shopped at Sheboygan Pick'n Save this morning and noticed a few things:

**Wonderful Pistachios – the only ones that are in the $2.99 sale are flavored:

(Salt & Pepper and Sweet Chili)

    **I bought 2 Campbell's GO Soups and got a $1.50 CAT from Campbell's:

don't see the details listed on couponnetwork.com though

ANYONE ELSE GET THESE? Curious about the details….

**I bought 2 Red Pepper/Mango Wholly Salsa and they are not $1.99 like the rest:

they rang up at $2.79 each.

    • Terri

I got a Catalina when I bought 2 Cambell's kettle soups. Also the Sargento cheese was $2 online but $3.49 in store. The cashier said she can't do anything about the price but was nice enough to double my coupons since my total was under $25 without the cheese.

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Chris

I tried to find some details about the campbell's catalinas. Here's what I found – they're from a different store, but it sounds like they may be working for Roundys also:

Campbell's GO Soup: Buy 1, get $1 catalina or buy 2+, get $1.50 catalina (through 2/24).

Campbell's Kettle Soups: Buy 2, get $1 catalina or buy 3+, get $1.50 catalina (through 2/24).

      • rochelle

I bought 2 Kettle soups at Rainbow this morning and got the $1.00 catalina.

  • Jimbo

    Today's coupon haul:

    Total retail value: $187.05

    We paid: $47.47

    Total savings: $139.58 or 74.6%

This included meat, cheese, bread and juice that we did not use coupons for. Our total savings on our "planned" coupon transactions was 87.1%!

  • Intchina

Is the Huggies coupon letting anyone print 2, or is it a single print?

  • Jenny

Make sure to check both the St Paul Pioneer Press and Star Tribune, the Smart Source in the St Paul paper has more and better coupons than the Star Tribune. As for the Red Plum the Star Tribune has more coupons than the St Paul. Just thought I would give everyone a heads if you bought only the Star Tribune.

  • Michelle

You're right. I missed that key comma. When I checked on couponnetwork the coupon is listed for PnS, but not for Copps. Since I went to Copps, I'm guessing that's the problem. I guess I'll just lose out on this deal.

  • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

    Awesome! :)
