Rainbow Foods, Copps, Pick ‘n Save Shopping List 2/24 – 3/2/13 (Incl. Double Double Daze on Saturday)

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

This Saturday, March 2, is a Double Double Daze at all Rainbow Foods, Pick N Save and Copps stores. This means you’ll be able to double 10 coupons in a qualifying transaction versus the typical 5 coupons. I’d expect we’ll see more Double Double Daze promotions in the weeks ahead, as they’ve historically run in the weeks leading up to a major holiday. All other aspects of Roundy’s (Rainbow Foods, Copps, and Pick N Save’s) coupon policy continue to apply.

If you shop at Copps and your ad doesn’t match the items mentioned in this shopping list, then check out what we saw for sales last week.

Two things to remember about this list of deals. First, it does not include every sale-priced item that has a coupon. It only has those items whose final price is low enough for us to mention it. Second, it is a starting list: as we learn of more deals whose final price is low enough, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

    • Tracy

      Thanks Terri!

  • Chrissy

If you still have last weeks Rainbow ad, it has a lot of the same coupons as the coupon booklet and it doesn't expire till Wednesday.

  • melissa

$0.50/1 Gold ‘n Plump Ground Chicken printable

This link takes you to a $1 sausage coupon.

  • Dawn N

Jif Hazelnut might be out on facebook. Or I printed it? FYI

    Thanks for the list

  • Jenny

    Thanks for this weeks list.

  • Jennifer

Looks like I can skip Rainbows.

  • Sue

There are a few more coupons in the 2/24 Smart Source for the BOGO Nature Made vitamin deal.

  • intchina

A whole bunch of Gillette razors (non-disposables) and cartridges were on sale 50% off when I was at Pick N Save Saturday and yesterday (2 different stores), including Mac3 (regular and Turbo), ProGlide (~$5.50) and some Venus razors as well. The cutback tag says till 6/30/2013. I used a $10 off razor and cartridge on a $5.49 Mac3 Turbo and a $7.99 Venus cartridge and got them both(!) for $3.49+tax. I also used a $3/1 Venus coupon on a $5.49 Venus razor and got it for $2.49 + tax. It seems like a fantastic deal to use those P&G coupons on that will be expiring on 2/28 if I am not mistaken.

  • Lydia

The Beechnut Any Product Stage 4 or 5 coupons STILL have not reset for me. The last time I printed them was at the end of November…is anyone else having this problem? Will these links ever reset???

    • Intchina

Mine seems to have finally reset. Also took a while.

  • Diane

For the "Buy 10 Sunny D (16 oz.) for $1.00 Each, Get 5 Free Instantly at Checkout

Final price: $0.66 each"–is this listed correctly? I noticed on the last page of my Rainbow ad for the section titled Everything's Under $1 it shows Sunny D 64 oz for 99 cents.

    • Sue

Yes. These are 2 different deals. The 64 oz. are $0.99 and the 16 oz. are $1.0 with 5 free when you buy 10. The price you pay for individual serving size bottles!

If you sign up to get Gold n Plump emails they will send you high value coupons, just recently I received a $1.50 off coupon for any frozen or fresh chicken which I am going to use for the ground chicken makes great meatballs for $1.00 package.

    • JoAnna

They do send great coupons–thanks for the reminder to check my email :)

  • Annette

Does anyone know if 1) you earn fuel rewards for purchasing Rainbow Gift Cards? and then 2) if you then earn fuels rewards if you use the gift card in a transactions, then basically getting double fuel points? Is that legal? Fair?

    • T

you only get fuel rewards one time. I haven't bought Rainbow gift cards recently but I believe you only get fuel rewards when you redeem card not when you purchase it.

      • Annette

        Thanks!

  • Lydia

For the in-ad Oscar Mayer beef franks/cheese deal~go to "CookingwithKraft.com" and print out the $1 off OM beef franks coupon…when doubled it will give you franks+cheese for just $1 total (or 98 cents I think?) There are also some good high-value coupons there regularily, so check back. They also have a $1 off any Kraft cheese coupon, which would have been handy for last week's sale to get you some FREE Kraft cheese. : )

    • mary

Program only available in AL, FL, GA, SC and TN.

      • Intchina

The buy oscar meyer franks get cheese coupon is listed here as a manufacturer's coupon. In my experience, if a manufacturer's coupon is about 2 items, it tags both items when apscanned, so, no other manufacturer's coupon would work on that deal. Has anyone tried using another coupon with this deal?

      • Lydia

I questioned the "only available in" wording, BUT the coupons print out with no such wording on them at all. They say "manufacturer coupons" so ??? And have no state or store specific wording on them. They do say "Redeem at Publix" but Copps says that they take store competitor coupons so long as they are "manufacturer coupons", so ???

If you use the OM franks coupon I *think* it's just for the free cheese~so couldn't you use a OM frank coupon for the franks? I haven't tried it~just wanted to put the info out there. We still have some franks from last time they went on sale, so we are stocked up. : )

        • Intchina

The way a store manager explained a similar situation to me in the past (it was a coupon for $1 off fruit when you get krave cereal) is that when 2 items/product categories are listed on coupon and discount is conditional, the register counts it as applicable to both items and would not accept another manufacturers coupon for either item. Which happened to me and they would not key the second coupon in.

Has anyone been successful using a coupon on either item in addition to the free cheese coupon?

  • Lydia

The Huggies coupon is also reset~just go to Facebook & play the game and get a $1 or 75 cent off coupon…they are on sale this week for $2 so FREE with this coupon! (Yes, the coupon does say do not double but has always doubled automatically at Copps.)

    • mary

      Thanks, Lydia!

      • Intchina

Doubled for me at Pick n Save, too!

  • Jennifer

Anxiously waiting for another unlimited Double coupon day! LOVE THEM!!!

    • Jennifer W

TOTALLY!! Anyone know any details as to when?

  • http://mercedes6408@yahoo.com Elsie

The Hormel BOGO is NOT 2/6.99. I was just there. The sign is labeled BOGO. But I double-checked with the butcher. Each package is marked per weight as usual at $6.99 per pound. You buy one, and get UP to $6.99 off the next one. The ad is very misleading.

    • Laura

I second that! The ad says up to $6.99 which would indicate that they are $6.99 each.

  • Erin

Why was the ajax deal removed?

    • mary

Erin – What was the deal?

      • Erin

They are 10/$10 and there was a $1/2 in this week's inserts.

        • mary

We didn't get that coupon in Minneapolis, so I can't look it up myself. It looks like the wording says it's for a "laundry" product. Is that right? If so, so I don't think dish soap would qualify.

        • http://laotthao@hotmail.com anne

its listed as $1 off 2 so you would think any two not just laundry but i researched last night and found out ajax laundry and ajax dish soap are made by different companies so the coupon will not work for dish soap. bummer because i ordered 100 bottles from the store and have 50 coupons and was going to donate them to womens shelter. guess i am out the money. wish that would have been researched before it was put up.

        • Intchina

I wonder if you could still return the purchase – it is a non-perishable item after all.

On another note – which store (rainbow, roundys, pns) do you place orders at and how is it done? I called my pns yesterday and they thought I was crazy :S

  • Intchina

I wonder if this list will have to be redone for after Wednesday shopping. All of the Roundy's booklet coupons expire tomorrow, 2/27.

But thank you for the list, PYD, as always!

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Carrie Rocha

We'll remove the coupon booklet coupons tomorrow, after they expire. But, the list contains many other offers that are valid all week including other advertised sales, cutbacks and regularly priced items.

      • intchina

        Dear Carrie:

I – in no way – meant to sound unappreciative, it was merely an observation.

Thank you and PYD for everything you do to save hundreds of couponers (I am sure) in several states hours each week preparing for their shopping trips to save their families money while providing a more diverse food and household/personal care merchandise selection! You help us save time and money, and I am ever so grateful.

Couponing is still quite a chore, but nothing compared to when I did it on my own or used other sites before I found this one.

  • Intchina

Westpac frozen veggies coupon seems to be gone.

  • Intchina

What about placing an order with your PnS, or is it only for Rainbow? I called today, and they never heard about it in one of the PnS stores I go to (North Milwaukee).

    Anyone?

  • T

I can't find 2/1 High Liner Sea Cuisine Product printable. Maybe I printed it before.

    • mary

It's still there for me, so you probably already printed it.

  • Trinity

Hi all. Newbie here still. I want to get some Huggies wipes and I played the fb game. I printed 1 coupon and then hit the print again and it printed out a 2nd coupon then it said I had maxed my print out. Am I able to use BOTH of the coupons I printed? Or was it literally just a duplicate?

I only ask because I know for the bricks coupons, sometimes we're able to hit back and print a 2nd time around.

    Thanks.

    • Julie

They should be different coupons. Most sites allow you to print 2. You can use both coupons you just have to buy 2 wipes.

  • Intchina

    Yep, both can be used.

Just in case, check the numbers by thebar code. If they are different, you can use them both.

  • Kris L

I got the $1 of your next grocery order Catalina coupon last week for buying the Mio and used it this morning at Rainbow. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it doubled. I know it said Manufacturer Coupon on it, but since it wasn't for a specific product I didn't think it would double. Yay!

  • Intchina

Does anyone else have issues with Colgate Optic White coupon link – it takes me to the CVS page all right, but redirects to a weird site immediately after before i have the chance to cluck on the coupon button. Tried from a PC and a Mac. Same result.

    • intchina

Third computer has the same issue!

Is there a way to access this coupon website via CVS website, perhaps?

      Thank you

      • mary

I don't think it's working right now. When I click on it, I get a message saying that I do not have access to that promotion.

  • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

    You are most welcome! :)

  • Kristin

I have a 55¢/1 printable coupon for OM franks I was going to use on the hot dogs and then use the other one to get the free cheese. Last week I used a $1/4 coupon for Old Orchard frozen juice and then used a BOGO coupon to get a free one. I got 5 juices, so I technically used the $1/4 coupon on the one I "bought" to get the free one. So, wouldn't this be similar – get 55¢/1 hot dog and a BOGO for the free cheese because I bought the hot dogs? The flyer coupon is basically a BOGO coupon, so even with 55¢ off the hot dogs I'm still buying them to get the free cheese? I guess I'll see tonight and will let you know!

No sign of a new coupon book on the Copps website (it's normally listed there with the weekly ad). Could this one be for Rainbow only?

      • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Brock – It's not listed on the Rainbow website, either, but I got it in the mail yesterday. Maybe they just haven't posted it online yet?

If anyone is a Copps/Pick 'n Save shopper and DID receive this coupon book, please leave a comment. Thanks!

  • Rosemary

What is the difference between redeemable at walmart and available at walmart? PLease help!

    • Kristin

Nothing really, unless it says "redeemable ONLY at Walmart" or something to that affect. Otherwise both are basically just an ad for using coupons Walmart.

  • Terri

Mountain Dew Kick Start is on price cut for $.99 and there is a $1/2 tear pad coupon for them. The display I found was near the front of the store by the checkout lines and there were a few tear pads of coupons. Free after doubled coupon.

Velveeta skillets and casseroles were on pricecut for $1.99. There were peelies for $1/1 Velveeta cassorole on the chicken pot pie casseroles which double to make them free. The $1/1 from this weeks smart source is valid on the skillets or casseroles. They were a lot on a end cap in the front of the store by the checkout lines.

    • Nancy

Hi Terri, does it say how long the Velveeta skillet will be on sale for? Thank you.

      • Terri

It's through the end of the week for sure, but I thought I saw that it was through 3/17.

        • Nancy

          Thank you, Terri.

  • cassie

can anyone confirm the prices of the lever 2000 soap bars (2 pk) and also the chapstick? when i was at rainbow today neither item had a tag by them saying they were on sale and the prices at my rainbow (northtown) were quite different than the prices listed. tia!

    • Mary

Maplewood didn't have a sale tag. It was listed as $2.59.

      • Kris L

Maple Grove Rainbow had Lever for $2.59 as well.

  • AMY

For the Sunny D, would you pick up all 15 Sunny D (in total in your cart) and when the cashier ring the price up the $5 will come off the bill or how does this work?

    • mary

Amy – You must present your Roundy's Rewards Card and the ad says the $5 will come off automatically when you purchase 15.

  • JoAnn

The OREO grab and go coupon is no longer available on the coupons.com website.

  • der

for the kellogg's fruit loops cereal…when i click on the link, i do not see a coupon for a specific fruit loop cereal. i only see for other cereals but not one specifically for fruit loops. is this just me or is anyone else having this issue?

  • Kristin

For what it's worth, last night my Copp's let me use the 55¢/1 printable on the Oscar Mayer hot dogs AND the BOGO for the free Kraft cheese. It didn't beep or anything, it just went through.

There are 2 more coupons for this deal:

Final price: As low as $1.78 after coupon and doubled coupon

  • chua

I am wondering if we can use coupons thst says thst it is redeemable at another store at rainbows?

    • scat

chua — yes you can unless it says "redeemable only" at another store.

  • Anne

Just an FYI that the Hunts $1/5 coupon in SS 2/24 is for Kroger only…

  • Drew

For Coupons.com or bricks, there should a different unique number somewhere on the coupon. This allows the manufactureres to keep track of who is printing/redeeming them. I think they could also deny a persons access to future coupons if a duplicated (photocopied) unique number was redeemed.

Some companies do there own coupons as PDFs, and those generally aren't individually numbered. I dont think those ones have any way of being tracked.

  • Trinity

Hi all! I went to go check out some stock tonight but I didn't see some things tagged. I shop at Copps so will some of the prices from Rainbow/PicknSave really reflect over at Copps?

For instance, I wanted some floss but they are not tagged at all. And I don't see them in the ad either. :(

  • Mary

Is the Velveeta skillet really on sale? I did not see it tagged 1.99 today. I saw the Velveeta shells and cheese on sale but not the skillet.

    • Trinity

I saw the same thing as you!! I wonder if it's really on sale. I'd love to get it if it's on sale.

    • Terri

They are at Rainbow. I've been to multiple locations and they are on price-cut through 3/16. The skillets and casseroles are both included. A way to check if they are on price-cut is to check on the Rainbow/ Copps/ pick 'n save website.

      • Trinity

I'll have to doublecheck before I check out tomorrow on the price of this. Is it possible that it's on sale at Rainbow but not at Copps? Sorry, I'm asking a lot of questions because I'm still just learning the ropes here. TIA.

        • Tracy

I didn't see them on sale at Copp's.

I also didn't see the Jello being on a price cut? Is that only at Rainbow?

        • Jodi

I just bought one of the Velveeta skillet meals. It wasn't marked on sale at the store, but it rang up as $1.99. This was at the Shoreview Rainbow.

        • Michelle

The jello wasn't labeled as a pricecut at my Copps, but I decided to get them anyway, since it was a pretty good coupon. They ended up ringing up at .88 cents each anyway (both Jello gelatin and pudding). I couldn't find it at the website either. I wish they had price checkers. I ask the cashiers to price check sometimes, but I always feel weird.

        • Tracy

Thanks Michelle! I will have to do a price check on the Jello at my Copp's. Also on the Velvetta Skillets. I saw someone today asking for a price on the Minute Maid drink boxes. I see they were the price she was hoping for.

I don't understand why they don't get things tagged. It's already Saturday!?

        • Trinity

Michelle, I asked the cashier to price check the jello, but it came up full price, 1.39, I think for the larger (6 oz) box. I decided not to get it after all. I wish I would have just gone through with it!!

  • Terri

I went to Rainbow today and the pricecut is actually through 3/16 only.

  • intchina

There is a starkist coupon for 55c off 2 on their facebook page available after you "make a salad".

Also, there was the same coupon available on the coupons.com website a couple of days ago, on one of the horizontal ad banners.

  • intchina

Reach clean burst spearmint floss is on sale for 0.99 on the Pick N Save website (they do not stock up too well on those in my PNSs).

  • maria

Buy one organic girl salad and get one craisin's free instantly.

Salad is $3.49 with DND $1.00 coupon on website for joining mailing list.

$2.49 for both is a good deal IMO.

  • Jodi

Chapstick (1-pack) rang up as $1.39, not $.99 — I still think it's an ok deal with the $1/2 coupon.

  • Intchina

Campbells Go soup did not generate a catalina for me: i tried with 2 different varieties: smoked gouda tomato and lentil madras curry. Just fyi

  • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Laura Wales

Trinity – It's possible that your store runs on a different sale cycle. Rainbow Foods runs Sunday-Saturday and I know some Copps and Pick 'n Save stores run Wednesday-Tuesday (or is it Thursday-Wednesday? I can't remember).

What you're seeing here may be the sales for *next* week at your store if you have an ad that runs on different dates. You can check last week's list to see if those deals match what you saw on Friday, 3/1. Hope this helps!
