I wouldn't buy again… but maybe we've just had bad luck. My husband gave me a Mr Coffee Keurig for Christmas 2011 (similar to this one but prev model) and we've had nothing but issues. The unit worked for about two months of 3x a week usage and then the top started popping open mid brew sending steam out and grounds all over. Called customer service and got a replacement. Then they had a big recall. Now that replacement is starting to act up — stops before its finished brewing leaving more than half the water for the cup inside.

Is your replacement still the previous model or is it this newer model?

I have a high-end premier Keurig that I got 2 Christmases ago. I paid about $110 more than this model on QVC. I will say that some of the things you give up whether you go with a cheaper Keurig or a different brand should be considered.

    1. The auto-on timer. I don't have to wait for the water to heat up. I set it to go on at 8:00 AM. Also has timers for what time to go off and how long it should sit idle before it powers off to save on power used.

    2. The varying size options. I have 4 sizes I can select. Typically the size is 8 oz which doesn't allow you to optimize the coffee in the pod. I prefer 10 oz when using light roast and 12 oz for dark roasts.

    3. Rinse feature. I use this to switch between coffee for me and hot chocolate/apple cider for the kids. It also is just sanitary.

    4. Larger 64 oz water reservoir. No point in having auto-on if it doesn't have water to heat up. I can go multiple days without having to add water.

    5. Hot water feature. Generates hot water without the use of a K-Cup. My kids use this for their oatmeal & steeping tea bags.

    6. Accessories. Included in my price I got a water filter/purifier attachment an a 'My K-Cup' that allows you to use your own ground coffee.

    7. Amount of free K-Cups. I received multiple boxes of coffee, apple cider and hot chocolate. I can't recall the number, but the cider and cocoa lasted the whole winter.

    8. Ease of use. This water reservoir appears like it may be difficult to get to under a cabinet. Even the newer Keurig Vue has an odd place to insert the pod. My current model has the reservoir is on the side & easy to get to. The K-Cup placement is in the front and controlled by a simple lever. The above model appears like it slides out and back in which is slightly more complicated.

I just wanted to point all these things out because I do believe that having a cheaper model is better than none at all. But I did a lot of comparing and consideration of real-life use and I didn't find it worth it until I was able to find the model with all the bells & whistles at a discount.
