Aldi Shopping List 2/17 – 2/23/13

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

First-time Aldi shoppers, you’ll need to bring a quarter (not 25 cents, but a quarter) for the refundable deposit on your cart and bring your own grocery bags. They take cash or debit card, but not credit card. Find an Aldi near you.

If it helps you appreciate Aldi a little more, read Wikipedia’s article about them and learn that Aldi is owned by the parent company that owns Trader Joe’s. Don’t forget Aldi’s double guarantee too, where you will get a replacement product AND a refund if you are not 100% satisfied.

Your turn: What else will you pick up this week at Aldi?

Has anybody ever clicked on the pop-up advertisement to Aldi that says 50% off coupons? I didn't think Aldi took coupons. Is this a bogus site?

Phil – I have never seen that but I would agree that it's probably not legit as Aldi doesn't take coupons. Did you see it in an ad here on Pocket Your Dollars? If so, let us know because we can block particular ads from showing up.

Yes it was a pop up ad on pocket your dollars.

Phil – I don't think we have pop-up ads here but I'll run this information by Carrie to see what she can find out. Thanks for the heads up!

Phil – I'd consider the site you saw referenced as bogus because you're right, Aldi doesn't take coupons. What's oddest to me is that I am not sure where/how a pop-up ad displayed as I can't think of a single pop-up ad or advertising service/agency that I've authorized. if I could figure out where it came from, then I'd disable it. If you, or anyone else, see another pop up ad on the site it would be a HUGE help if you could take a screen shot and email it to me. Send it to INFO at pocket your dollars DOT com (remove spaces).
