Get yourself a copy of this week’s Bloomberg Businessweek (January 14, 2013) and flip to page 75. You’ll see the cover image of my book, which you should be familiar with if you’ve been around here very long. Plus, you’ll see haiku summaries of four new releases, INCLUDING MINE!
I owe a huge thank you to @KateT16 who let me know about this in the first place:
@carrierocha Just saw your book mentioned in Bloomberg Business Week 1/14-1/20 pg75! :)

I literally screamed out loud when I read her tweet. I’m not usually surprised by media mentions because, usually, I’ve been interviewed or informed by the media outlet that they are going to talk about me. Not this time. After I screamed, then I passed my phone around a room full of colleagues (I was at a conference) and they all screamed too. Then we hugged. So, so fun.
How did this happen? I can’t say for sure, but I have a guess. My theory is that Businessweek saw my book in this list of hot new releases on Amazon where it had been #1 all last week or this list of best sellers where it still ranks #3. I bet they thought the topic of attitude changes was intriguing and voila, I made their short list of haiku-ed books.
I responded saying:

And that is what happened to me on Tuesday. If only every day were so exciting.
PS – Bring a print copy of the magazine along to one of the three upcoming book signings and I’ll sign them both for you :) If you’ve never been to a book signing, you can expect that I’ll start by speaking for around 10 minutes, then will take 1-2 questions before I actually sit down to sign books. I’d l-o-v-e to see you there.
PPS – Rumor has it that Laura be at the Lifeway in Maple Grove, MN this weekend with me
