Aldi Shopping List 1/20 – 1/26/13

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

First-time Aldi shoppers, you’ll need to bring a quarter (not 25 cents, but a quarter) for the refundable deposit on your cart and bring your own grocery bags. They take cash or debit card, but not credit card. Find an Aldi near you.

If it helps you appreciate Aldi a little more, read Wikipedia’s article about them and learn that Aldi is owned by the parent company that owns Trader Joe’s. Don’t forget Aldi’s double guarantee too, where you will get a replacement product AND a refund if you are not 100% satisfied.

Your turn: What else will you pick up this week at Aldi?

Was wondering about the fresh chicken breasts, I've never bought meat at Aldi's and was wondering how they compare to GNP at other grocery stores?

    Thnx

Sarah – Carrie loves their chicken (that's what she told me yesterday).

I do! It is tender even when it is reheated. I quit buying another store's brand (who shall remain nameless) after I had constant issues with the meat being tough.

They are a little fattier in my opinion, but that is easy to trim off. Otherwise I think they are great. Very large and meaty!

The primrose plants/flowers are very cute, with choice of several colors. I bought 3 and placed them in decorative planters on a rectangular tray- bright and cheerful. Another shopper that was looking at them when I was choosing said she plants them outside in spring and has had luck with them re-blooming the next season. There were also two different types of dracaena foliage plants for .99 (tolerates low light and considerable dryness). I double wrapped them in paper bags so they wouldn't freeze on the way home.

Can you use a credit card there? Not a debit card

Michelle – No, it has to be a check card or debit card.
