The Minneapolis-St. Paul area is bustling with holiday fun, including an impressive light display, Santa appearances at Broadway Pizza and Bobby & Steve’s Auto World, deals for military, and more.

Your turn: Have you been to Holiday Lights in the Park? What did you think?

IBEW Holiday Lights in the Park
It’s the time of year for the annual spectacle of IBEW Holiday Lights in the Park. Round the family up into the car and take a leisurely drive through 50 holiday light sculptures in St. Paul’s Phalen Park. The event runs nightly 5:30-10pm through 1/1. The price is $10 per car, or $8 on Sunday-Thursday nights.

Or, if you’re a fan of holiday music and local artists, head to Kowalski’s Market, which is selling the Holiday Lights in the Park CD for $10 – and tucked inside is a free pass to the event. The CD has seasonal songs from Owl City, Phil Thompson, The New Standards, Lorie Line and more. The very best thing about the event? Every person helping out is volunteering their time, and every penny goes to charity.

Free Photo with Santa at Broadway Pizza
Throughout the month, Broadway Pizza locations throughout the Cities are hosting lunch and dinner with Santa events. Those bringing a non-perishable food item for the Emergency Food Shelf Network will receive a free photo with Santa. See the full schedule on the Broadway Pizza site.

Read with Santa at Bobby & Steve’s Auto World

Santa will be bringing free books and offering snacks, beverages, reading information for parents, and even giving away an e-reader. Event times at each location vary – there’s only one Santa, you know.
