50% Off A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie Tonight and Tomorrow Night
Are you free tonight or tomorrow night? How’d you like to take in a popular Twin Cities holiday tradition? Call the Guthrie Box Office at 612-377-2224 and mention the coupon code H37 to receive 50% off tickets for tonight and tomorrow night’s (12/11-12/12) performances of A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie Theater.

$10 Off Minnesota Children’s Museum Gift Membership
Minnesota Children’s Museum is offering $10 off gift memberships through 12/31 when you use the coupon code 140007018. If you order your gift membership by 12/15 it will be delivered by 12/24. Otherwise, memberships ordered after 12/15 will include a printable certificate that you can wrap up.

This is especially a great gift for families with younger kids who are looking at a long winter with fewer outdoor options for fun.

Toys for Tots $50 Movie Gift Card Drawing
Victory Auto Service & Glass, with five locations throughout the Twin Cities, is offering a fun drawing – those who bring in toys for their Toys for Tots drive by 12/15 will be entered to win one of five $50 AMC Movie Theatre gift cards.

Holiday Light Display Map
Despite the price of gas, driving around and looking at homes lit up for the holidays is a fun tradition for many families. So you don’t spend too much time wandering, the Star Tribune has created their annual interactive holiday lights map for those of you wanting to spot the best light displays. (Thanks, Thrifty Minnesota!)

Gingerbread House Building at IKEA
Head to the IKEA Restaurant this Saturday, 12/15, for gingerbread house decorating from 2-4pm. And from 4-6pm, the Svenskarnas Dag girls’ choir will be performing their traditional Santa Lucia Pageant throughout the store to cheer you as you shop.

Can you believe I can’t ever remember making a gingerbread house? Yes, for real. But then again, I’m the same person that’s never seen The Sound of Music. Now you know how uncultured I really am.

Feel free to contact us if you know of any additional coupons, deals and events available to readers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

  1. The lights map does not come up for me. It links to the article which is only the title.

    • I just tried the link and it worked fine. It's possible that if you have an adblock program or something similar, that's causing the map to not be displayed. Maybe try a different browser?
