This set includes:

  • Little House in the Big Woods
  • Little House on the Prairie
  • Farmer Boy (my personal favorite)
  • On the Banks of Plum Creek
  • By the Shores of Silver Lake
  • The Long Winter
  • Little Town on the Prairie
  • These Happy Golden Years
  • The First Four Years

I (Laura) l-o-v-e-d reading these books when I was a child. My aunt gave me the first five books for Christmas one year and I read them over and over again. I eventually checked out the other books from the library (on more than one occasion), but I’ve never owned the complete set.

I remember visiting Walnut Grove, Minnesota as a child and seeing the dugout site where the Ingalls family lived (she writes about it in On the Banks of Plum Creek). I hope that someday my children will enjoy these books, too – they’re really quite delightful.

Your turn: Have you read the Little House books? Which one is your favorite?

  1. Michelle from Maple says:

Thanks for letting us know about this deal. I ordered a set for my daughter for xmas. I too read all of these books when I was in 4th grade. My daughter is now in 4th grade and I am hoping she enjoys them as much as I did.

  2. Bought it–thanks for the heads up. My sis and I loved the show and books when we were kiddos and now I can share the stories with my daughter.
