Walgreens Shopping List 11/25 – 12/1/12

If you’re new to Walgreens shopping, then learn how the Register Rewards program works and learn how to read this shopping list. Don’t forget that some other stores will accept Register Rewards like a manufacturer’s coupon. Also, it’s a good idea to print out Walgreens’ official coupon policy and keep it with you in case an issue comes up at checkout.

This is a starting list of deals for the week and is not a comprehensive list of every sale item and its coupons, but just the best deals (things at prices I’d actually pay). We will update this list as readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas or we read about other deals across the blogosphere. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week, we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

Walgreens is the one store where an advertised sale like “2/$4” usually requires you to buy two products. The first one rings at full price and the second product will ring at a lesser price to bring the total to $4, using our example. If you ever question whether you need to buy two to receive a sale price, ask the cashier to scan one item for you. If it rings at full price, then you know you need to buy two products. If it rings at the sale price, then you don’t.

Your turn: What other deals did you find this week at Walgreens?

  1. Sue says

Black Forest, Haribo or Trolli Gummy Candy (4.25-5 oz.) $0.79 (Limit 4)

    Use in-ad Walgreens coupon

    Final price: $0.79 after coupon

I saw a Haribo $.30/1 Haribo coupon on coupons.com tonight.

Learned today that you cannot earn RR on a transaction if you use RR to pay for part of your transaction. The manager fixed it for me, almost lost 5,000 points or $5.00.

I didn't get the bonus points for my coke purchases on Sunday. Just realized it last night looking at my receipt. I purchased 6 packs just to be sure I spent at least $15.

  3. Vero Silva says

Just went to Walg and was very dissapointed!!! Last two trips have been horrible, either I can't use man coupons along with RR or I reached the max number of coupons allowed!

Vero – Walgreens' system is set up to only accept the number of manufacturer's coupons as you have items in your transaction.

Since Register Rewards count as manufacturer's coupons, you may need to add a few low-priced items (we call them "filler" items) to your transaction to bring the number of items in your transaction up to the number of manufacturer's coupons (including Register Rewards) you want to use.

      Hope this helps!

  4. Lori says

Stacy, I believe you only don't earn RR and if use a RR from the same manufacturer as you are expecting an RR from. For example, if you buy a proctor and gamble product and use that RR to purchase another proctor and gamble product, you will not get a RR. But it doesn't prevent all RR printing for ANY product.

I just stopped at Walgreens to use a 5.00 off 20.00 purchase catalina coupon I got yesterday. My order was just over 20.00 even after Wags store coupons. I handed cashier 5.00 coupon and it reduced my total, but as soon as he scanned a mfr coupon it added the 5.00 back on. I just voided order as I was going to pay with RR. So apparently this coupon is based on total after mfr coupons. The 10.00 off 35.00 that I received over the holiday worked before coupons. Just want to warn people to watch their totals when using these $$ off $$ coupons.
