That means you can get the book for half off (just $6.99) when you preorder through BN.com now through Tuesday, 11/20 at 8:59am EST. This offer is not available in-store.

According to my publisher, this deal of the day promotion is a BIG DEAL. Very few books are included in this type of promotion and it bodes really well for the book if it goes well (translated: sells a lot). If this promo goes well, then the book will get premium placement at Barnes & Noble stores nationwide; B&N has already agreed to carry it in all their stores, but getting greater in-store visibility would be uh-mazing. I’d love to see us do that!

PS – Wondering how this deal will compare to the price of a Nook or Kindle e-book? The publisher will sell the e-books at the same price as the print copy ($13.99). However, Amazon is notorious for lowering the price on books and e-books at their discretion. We aren’t privy to know what they’ll sell the Kindle version for, but it’s doubtful that it will be 50% off. Based on my observation of other books and e-books, a 15-25% discount for new releases seems more likely.
