**Update: ING Direct is now Capital One 360.

I have a free ING Direct Orange Savings account. My kids also have ING Savings accounts. Our family’s emergency fund in is in our ING account. My kids keep a small savings in theirs. That way the money is accessible, but not too accessible; a transfer into our main checking account takes 3 days.

Now you can earn a free, no strings attached $125 (well, no strings except having to report it to the IRS).

How to Get a Free $125

In three steps, including a combo of 10 purchases and/or deposits, you’ll get a free $125. Here’s the play-by-play:

  • Open a new ING Direct Orange Checking account through Sunday 11/25
  • Make a combination of 10 purchases and/or deposits within the first 45 days of it being open
  • You’ll get $125 deposited into your account

$10 Bonus for Each Kid’s Account

Plus, if your kids don’t yet have Kid’s ING Savings accounts, then open one today and they’ll get a $10 sign-up bonus. No minimum deposit A $0.50 minimum deposit is required. Even if you are an existing ING customer, as long as your kids are new, then they qualify for the bonus.

The $10 will be available for withdrawal after 30 days.

Here’s how to get their account:

  • Click “Back to the sale” from this Black Friday page pictured above
  • Select “Kid’s Savings Account” in the top row

If you have questions about ING, then either ask in the comment section after this article or read this blog post from July where I answer 3 common questions.

Save the most, with the least amount of effort, by following all our Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

Your turn: Did you open your new account today? How about for your kids? Even though I’m an existing Savings account customer, I’m going to open a new Checking account to get my bonus.

I have an ING savings account and an Orange checking account already, and wasn't allowed to open a 2nd Orange account to take advantage of this offer–too bad!

I really appreciate your website for saving money. I did open an ing direct account yesterday and will take advantage of the 125.00 promotion. Thanks.

Ally Bank is a much better deal. Ally will rebate you back all ATM fees and much better 24 hour service. I left ING because of poor customer service. I suggest everyone look beyond the one time $125.00.

Ally Bank is rated as the top online bank by money magazine. (I don't work or own any stocks in Ally Bank.)
