Cub Foods Shopping List 11/25 – 12/1/12

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

As of April 15, Cub Foods changed their coupon policy. You can read Cub Foods’ new coupon policy, but the most notable change is that they only accept expired coupons up to 30 days past their expiration date.

Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. As readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store or we get emails with deal ideas, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

Your turn: What other deals did you spot this week?

The Cub off of 65 in Blaine is out of Kohl's gift cards right now. So bummed I didn't pay attention last week. I spent a few hundred there on Black Friday deals and it would have been awesome to have done the gift card deal to make my deals even sweeter!

The cookie/hershey's deal info is as follows – 2 baking mixes for $2 each, minus 2 of the SS 11/11 Q's for $.40 equals $3.20. That makes it 2 baking mixes plus hershey kisses for $3.20! Making my p-nut butter kiss cookies right now!

There is a coupon on the Betty Crocker website for $0.60 off one package of any favor cookie mix 14oz or larger.

Save $0.60 when you buy ONE POUCH any flavor 14 OZ. OR LARGER Betty Crocker® Cookie Mix

Thanks for the info…my dad has already requested these & they are my favorite!

Does anyone know if you can use CVS ECB's at Cub? I know I was able to use Register Rewards from Walgreens there…

    • Liz

The register rewards don't work at cub unfortunately

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Carrie Rocha

Mindy – No you can't use ECBs at Cub. The Register Rewards are usually manufacturer's coupons whereas the ECBs aren't. ECBs operate like store coupons and are tied to your Extra Care card so they can't be redeemed anywhere else.

The lip care is impossible to find-especially since the deal involves buying 6. I've had no luck so far!

Once you have the $20 (good for a future purchase at Cub, I assume?) what is the expiration date on that?

    • kris t.

I should have clarified..I mean spend $100 on gift cards and get $20 back, I assume for a future Cub purchase.

Is the expiration date on that "certificate" for Cub good for only a week after you made your initial gift card purchase? I seem to remember last year having a limited amount of time to use it, so I turned right around and used it on the rest of my groceries right then and there.

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Carrie Rocha

One week from the date it is printed.

      • kris t.

Thank you Carrie! This helps me out – now I can just plan on getting $20 worth of items in my cart so I can do two separate transactions tonight. Perfect timing..

  • Christy

***I need some clarification and help. I have TEN $1 off certificates that say “SAVE $1.00 on your next purchase of $1.00 or more”. These printed off at the register the last time I shopped at CUB foods. Problem is I forgot they were in my wallet and now they are expired as of 11/20/2012. They must have only been good for a week or two. Would CUB still accept them? They do say in upper part “manufacturer cpn” and then the expiration date, but they also say “redeemable at CUB” in the upper right corner above the UPC code. Please someone help me figure this out. I would be shopping the CUB in Stillwater MN.***

    • Martha

if it is a manufacturer coupon cub excepts them up to 30 days past the expiration date.

  • Kathy

    Christy,

My understanding is that Cub accepts coupons for one month after expiration date. The certificates you have are coupons and so should be good until 12/20/12.

    • Christy

okay thanks! Sorry for the duplicate comment below…I don't know what happened and can't figure out how to delete it. sorry.

  • kris t.

Just a heads up, when buying $100 gift cards for the deal, you MUST go to a regular register line..not the customer service desk and not the self-scan ones.

Trust me..I was told to go to CS since I only had my gift cards to buy. It didn't print out my $20 coupon so they had to go up into the office and get it straightened out and it took 30 min.

  • ann

I bought 4 solo and the $3 did not print :(

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Carrie Rocha

Ann – Sorry to hear that :( I just emailed you about this.

  • JoAnna

They accept manufacturer coupons 30 days expired which is different than one month-depending on the month of course :)

  • ann

    Thanks

  • ann

Wow, I just saw your email, you are really amazing!

  • SUE

    • SUE

      thanks!

  • Lisa

Check in front of the registers Sarah, that's where I have seen them at my store:)

  • Laura

Just a heads up as noted in this post this expired yesterday I wasn't paying attention and made my list out with out checking the date this morning and I bought the gift cards and didn't get my $20 coupon, It is a strange date to end a deal.

    • Laura

oh and I couldn't just return the gift cards because you can't return gift cards:-(

    • kris t.

I can't but wonder if the 11/29 end date is tied to the coupon book that was mailed..i.e. not wanting customers to be able to use all of those coupons in conjunction with their $20 rebate from the gift cards? (yes, I'm a conspiracy theorist though!)

  • Jennifer

Today I bought $100 in gift card ($50 in Kohl's and $50 in Sears). But no $20 rr printed. I went to the customer service and was told it was last week's deal!!!

    • http://www.pocketyourdollars.com Carrie Rocha

Jennifer – I can imagine how frustrating that is. It ended mid-week. Last week's ad listed the expiration date and it extended into this week.
