Top 3 Nationwide Daily Deals

Saveology Gift Card Offers
If you’re new to Saveology, you can spend $5 for a $10 Domino’s gift card or $5 for a $10 Toys “R” Us gift card (you’re only able to select one offer). Other available gift cards for new members are listed below, but I thought I’d highlight these as they are not regularly offered and you may have been waiting to join until you found a gift card that appealed to you.

iPhone Wall Dock
Spend $9 for a convenient iPhone wall dock from BlingBerry + $3 flat-rate shipping. Plus, use the coupon code SPOOKY to drop the price to $7 (exp 10/21). Ends 11/1. Via Eversave.

I (Laura) seem to always misplace my iPhone, charger, or both — with this wall dock I could keep it plugged in to the same spot and always know where it is, almost like an old-school phone! (We don’t have a landline.)

Spend $15 for $30 to spend on flowers and gifts at 1800Flowers.com. Voucher value may be applied toward shipping fees. Ends 10/22. Via Living Social.

I took a quick peek at their deal section and saw prices as low as $24.99 + $12.99 shipping (I’m sure they have other deals, but this is the first thing I saw), which would make your final cost $22.98 shipped – not a bad price for delivery to someone that you might not be able to visit very often.

Top 3 Minneapolis/St. Paul Daily Deals

Relaxation Massage
Spend $29 for a 1-hour relaxation massage from Oola Moola (valid at 13 Twin Cities locations). Ends 10/20. Via Groupon.

The last professional massage I got was nearly 10 years ago after I submitted my application to my university’s School of Education. I think I’m about due for another one. :)

Café Donuts
Spend $9 for 2 dozen donuts from Café Donuts in Champlin. Ends 10/21. Via Groupon.

This works out to just 38¢ donut, and Chrysa from Thrifty Minnesota says that these are better than Dunkin’ Donuts! (PS – They’re also offering a free donut for trick-or-treaters on Halloween from 6-9pm.)

Pasta Buffet & Timberwolves Game
Dinner and a movie? How about try dinner and a basketball game? Spend $52 for a pasta buffet and Timberwolves basketball game for 2 at The Original Gabe’s by the Park in St. Paul followed by a game at Target Center in Minneapolis (up to $104 total value). Choose from any of the 41 regular-season home games. Ends 10/24. Via Groupon.

Note that you’ll also get two $15 gift certificates to The Original Gabe’s by the Park to use on a return visit (so you could get the pasta buffet again – yum!).

  1. Nate says

I had a horrendously bad experience with Saveology today and would not recommend making a purchase from them. I did the 1/2 price iTunes deal a couple weeks ago. They made me call them in order to redeem the deal after I had paid for it, which was a pain to say the least. It was an incredibly slow process, which it seemed they intentionally did in order to try and get you to buy other deals from them.

A deal that was described to me seemed like a fantastic deal, but sounded too good to be true. $4.95 for a $100 ecard that could be redeemed for gift cards to virtually any store or iTunes was how it was described to me. I asked a lot of questions (since it was going to take 7-8 minutes for them to verify my deal…. yeah… it was incredibly slow) and the guy assured me that there was no catch, I wouldn't be signed up for anything, and that the $100 could be used in a variety of stores (he mentioned iTunes, Best Buy, and Home Depot specifically). So I went for it… figured $5 wasn't that big of a deal.

Turns out he was blatently lying to me. Not only was there a catch (you get signed up for three magazines that you have to cancel or get charge $39.99 for each of them), but the $100 is a credit to a store that basically sells coupons similar to those in the Entertainment book (BOGO meals at restaurants, 1/2 off bowling, etc). Each of these coupons "costs" basically what the cost of the free item or discount would cost in the credits that I got. No iTunes, no Best Buy, no Home Depot… none of the store that he specifically mentioned were included on this site.

Needless to say I'm a bit ticked off. Shame on me for falling for a deal that sounded too good to be true, but they flat out lied about what the deal was. Not sure if it's worth trying to get my momey back for just $5. Just wanted to warn people if they take one of these deals and need to call to redeem it.

That absolutely stinks! I too called to redeem my Saveology voucher today and had a different experience than you, but still, your pain makes me feel pain. I got through the details of getting my voucher confirmed and gift card sent to me, then when they started to offer me something else I asked "is my gift card in the mail?" They answered "yes" and I said I wasn't interested and hung up.

I'll email you personally Nate to talk a little more about how I can help get this resolved for you. But, we'll part ways with Saveology from here on out (barring a total about face in their practices).
