Aldi Shopping List 8/5 – 8/1/12

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

First-time Aldi shoppers, you’ll need to bring a quarter (not 25 cents, but a quarter) for the refundable deposit on your cart and bring your own grocery bags. They take cash or debit card, but not credit card. Find an Aldi near you.

If it helps you appreciate Aldi a little more, read Wikipedia’s article about them and learn that Aldi is owned by the parent company that owns Trader Joe’s. Don’t forget Aldi’s double guarantee too, where you will get a replacement product AND a refund if you are not 100% satisfied.

Your turn: What else will you pick up this week at Aldi?

  1. I used the double guarantee this week. Last week I bought 3 pkgs of English muffins. I put one package in the fridge and the other 2 pkgs in the freezer, as soon as I got home. One of the freezer packages, a muffin had a small bit of blue mold on it. The other 5 muffins in the pkg were fine and we ate them. I took back my receipt and the empty pkg this week, and he gave me $1 refund, plus a new package of muffins FREE. The thing I did wrong was he said to bring back the whole pkg if something is wrong with it, with the food in it. I didn't want to waste the 5 muffins that didn't have any mold. Next time I'll know better. It's the first time I've ever used the double guarantee. Good to know they really honor it.

  2. Cantaloupe is listed twice, once for $.99 and once for $1.99. Am I reading something wrong? Tx!

  3. Most of this list is just Aldi's regular prices for items.

$0.99 price is from the week long sale.

  4. Thanks for sharing your experience, Val!
