Your turn: Will you be taking the family for some street dancing at the Ordway?

Ordway Summer Dance Series
Thursdays throughout the summer, the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts hosts their Summer Dance Series for free. This is no stuffy cultural event, though – each evening includes free dance instruction followed by live music outdoors outside the Ordway on Landmark Plaza. The lessons start at 6pm with live music at 7:15, and tonight’s theme is 50s & 60s Rock & Roll Dance with The Whitesidewalls performing. (Thanks, phenoMNal twin cities!)

Free Food Samples at Mall of America
If you’re heading to the Mall of America soon, score some free food samples. First, there’s an Edwards Pie Sampling from 10-6pm in the Sears Court on Saturday, 6/23. Then, Monday 6/25-Monday 7/2, the North Court area will feature a Cheerios event where you can get a free Cheerios photo taken and a free sample-size box of Cheerios.

Free Minnesota Sinfonia Concerts
Tonight and tomorrow night, enjoy some beautiful weather and some wonderful free music courtesy of the Minnesota Sinfonia. See the group with feature violinist Wayne Lee at Lake Phalen Park tonight, 6/21, 7pm and at the Lake Harriet Bandshell tomorrow night, 6/22, at 7:30pm.

Update: Free Lunches for Kids Available in Anoka
NOTE: While this isn’t a “deal” as we think of them, we’re mentioning it because some of our readers may be able to benefit from the program, or know a friend or neighbor who is finding it tough to feed their kids this summer.

We previously mentioned two summer lunch programs for those in need: Minneapolis Parks offers its Summer Meals Program and St. Paul has a similar program to feed kids under 18 for free in the summer. Happily, the Anoka-Hennepin School District also has a program to provide free meals to kids 2-18. (Thanks, Tricia!)

Feel free to contact us if you know of any additional coupons, deals and events available to readers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. You can also access a Google calendar of all of the time-sensitive offers we post.
