If you’ll be braving Rosedale Mall soon, there’s a nice opportunity to do some giving and to receive, too. As part of Give & Receive Weekend, Rosedale will be giving a $5 gift card to anyone who donates a new toy or outerwear item to the mall’s Giving Tree. The offer is good only on 12/17-18 while supplies last. Note: The link says 12/18-19, but it also said weekend. I called and confirmed this deal is going on Saturday and Sunday, 12/17-12/18.

Thanks for the post! The Riverview Theater sounds fun. Have you ever been? I’m wondering about parking??? Any idea if you have to pay for parking and/or if it’s easy to find?
Jen, it’s right on a corner in a mostly-residential neighborhood. There is a lot of on-street parking, but you may have to walk a block or two.
It’s a great little theater that doesn’t seem to have changed much in 50 years. The people are incredibly kind as well – once I got there with my children and realized I didn’t have enough cash for the tickets, and they let us in anyway…and asked if we wanted any snacks!
