Glad I saw this before I e-mailed you (was getting ready to, about the Office Max battery deal). I just picked it up. I’m hoping it works out right for me; I used rewards to pay for it. But, if I understand the program correctly now, as long as the amount indicated in the associated reward for the batteries is a specific $ amount (which it is), not a %, I should get the full amount back next quarter. Does that sound right to you?
No, that doesn’t sound right to me. You get 100% back of what you PAID. So if you paid nothing by combining store coupons and rewards, then you won’t get anything back.
Hum, okay. I will e-mail them again with this specific deal. I thought they’d said that if the rewards were a specific $ amount, NOT a % back, that it would work, but maybe I misunderstood (again! ;-). The Bonus Reward for the batteries is not 90% or 100% or any % back, it is just a straight $8.xx and/or $14.xx.
The T&C at the bottom of the MaxPerks page says: “For a percentage-based Bonus Reward, percentage of Bonus Rewards issued is based upon price actually paid by Member, as advertised price can be reduced by any applicable coupon or discount.” but I didn’t find any note like that for the non-percentage-based Bonus Rewards. Also, I know the amount will NOT count toward the MaxPerks Reward (i.e. non-Bonus, $25 after $500).
I just e-mailed them, I’ll let you know what I hear back. I think I learn something new every hour with this couponing stuff! LOL
Oh, then *I* misunderstood. If it is a specific price point, then yes, I think you get that price point back.
Yay! (Not about you misunderstanding, of course. :-)
We’re now STOCKED on batteries for a while! What a blessing!
