If you are new to shopping Double Daze, be sure to read Roundy’s (Rainbow Foods, Copps, and Pick N Save’s) double coupon policy before you get started to understand all the restrictions of their double coupon promotion.
If you shop at Copps and your ad doesn’t match the items mentioned in this shopping list, then check out what we saw for sales last week.
Two things to remember about this list of deals. First, it does not include every sale-priced item that has a coupon. It only has those items whose final price is low enough for us to mention it. Second, it is a starting list: as we learn of more deals whose final price is low enough, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

Overall I had a good day. But I do have a warning for people. Earlier in the week I went online to the Rainbow website to see what is included in the 8/$20 sale. It said that chex would work, but when I got to the store it was not included. So beware that the website isnt always correct. Good thing I price checked it before I got in line!
I just got back from Rainbow and am frustrated because my Catalina’s didn’t print. The checker said that everyone was having that problem and he thought his machine was broken. Customer service told me that I didn’t get my Catalina’s on the General Mill deal because my total was under $20 after coupons, but I didn’t have a problem earlier in the day with the same coupons! The lady did say that she didn’t really know and told me to bring in all my receipts tomorrow so they could try and figure out what happened.
Here’s what I had and what I expected:
3 big boxes of Cheerios (used coupons)
5 Nature Valley granola bars (used coupons)
I expected to get the $5 off your next shopping order Catalina and my coupon for free pizza rolls (this worked for me earlier in the day). I was also hoping to get the $3 off your next shopping order for buying the 5 boxes of Nature Valley bars that someone had mentioned on here earlier in the day.
I also had 4 boxes of Keebler Club Crackers. I had gotten 2 boxes earlier in the day and it had printed out a Catalina for a free can of soup (up to $1.75). I had hoped to get 2 more of those Catalina’s although I don’t know if more then one would have printed.
So the way I see it, I should have gotten $5 for the GM deal, a free bag of pizza rolls, maybe $3 for the NV deal, and maybe 2 free cans of soup.
So, questions:
1. Is there a place where I can go online to print out what Catalina’s should have printed? I’d like to print something out that says that if I buy XYZ then a certain Catalina will print out.
2. Does it say anywhere that you have to buy 8 boxes of something for $20 WITHOUT coupons to get the deal?
Mostly I am confused because it worked just fine earlier and I think it’s suspicious that the cashier told me that everyone he was ringing up was having the same problems. I’d really like my Catalina’s if possible because it adds up to around $15.
Thanks!
The only thing I that I would check is that your cheerio boxes were the size included in the sale – were they the 14oz boxes? I believe they were the only ones included in the sale. If your cereals were correct sizes, then you should have gotten the catalina. It’s always frustrating when things don’t go as planned!
Yes, they were the 14 oz. size. I found this great website with a phone number to call if you don’t get the Catalina’s that you think you should have. I’m going to call in the morning:

Thanks for the respnce!
Sarah. I had the same experience with the $5 coupon for the 8 boxes of cereal purchase at the Eden Prairie store. And of course this was my first experience ever at Rainbow using double coupons so I got a little frazzled. I brought it to the checker’s attention and he told me the same thing, that my GM purchase after coupons was under $20. Nowhere in the ad does it state this. So they grabbed a manager who was able to get the $5 coupon and Tostino coupon to print for me on another register. She stated that I was the 5th person this happened to, and that the Catalina’s don’t print if you are using coupons. I was still able to save 70% on my purchase tonight. Not bad for a first timer.
Tami — the “catalinas don’t print if you are using coupons” statement is baloney. Another story made up to try to explain why the system isn’t working. I am sure everyone here has used coupons on an item for which they have then received a cataline coupon. I made two trips to Rainbow today and did the GM deal each time. The first time, the catalinas just didn’t print and the manager wrote me out two rainchecks in place of the cats. She said that particular machine just wasn’t working today. The second trip, same transaction, got all three cats, no problem.
Probably one of my best trips to Rainbow tonight – 2 boxes of Kix, 1 box of Boo Berry, 3 boxes of Nature Valley Granola Thins, 2 boxes of Nature Valley Sweet n Salty, 4 packs of Extra Key Lime Pie Gum, 1 pack of Crave cat treats, 1 bottle of Old Orchard apple juice…OOP= $10.45…then received $5 catalina, $3 catalina, and free 40 ct. Pizza rolls. If I net out the coupons for future purchases, this was all FREE!!!
It doesnt matter if you use coupons, but I know at my Rainbow the big boxes werent on sale. I accidentally got a large box instead of one cereal so the catalinas didnt print. I went to customer service and they refunded me the money (difference between big and little box) and then forced a transaction so that I could get the catalinas. So I just had to go and switch out the boxes. Look on your receipt. If the cereal rang up as $2.50 a box then it was the right one and you should have gotten the catalina. If it isnt that price then it was the wrong box.
They rang up for $2.50. I I’m still perplexed. Hopefully I’ll find out more tomarrow! Thanks for the input.
The Arrid deodorant link is back up so you can print the $1 off coupons again! Just as an FYI the site was running slow today
I wish I would have known about this early enough to share with everyone, but I didn’t get done grocery shopping until 7pm… I used 1 get 75 cents off of 1 Minute Rice with purchase of Mrs. Dash, and 1 get $1.00 off of 2 Minute Rice with purchase of Mrs. Dash, and then I used 2 $1.00 off of 1 Mrs. Cash coupons. I got 3 boxes of brown rice ($1.99 start) for 82 cents each and then 2 Mrs. Dash ($2.50 start) for 50 cents each! It was pretty exciting :)
Does anyone know if the Ricola Dual Action was included in the 10 for $10 sale? Also the Arrid $1/1 coupon is available again if you didn’t get a chance to print it earlier in the week.
Hi everyone. I do ad matches for Jubilee Foods of Becker and Mound (Jubilee doubles coupons up to $0.50) and Mackenthun’s of Waconia. If you are interested, check out my blog at http://www.emssoapbox.blogspot.com or follow me on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/emssoapbox.
