Pick up a number of free and inexpensive items this week, including oral care products, shave cream, M&Ms and Dove hair care products.
If you’re new to CVS, your first step is to learn the ins and outs of the Extra Bucks program and learn how to read this shopping list. For those who use reusable bags, you may want to buy a green bag tag.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. We will update this list as readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas or we read about other deals across the blogosphere. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: What other deals did you find this week at CVS?
Pocket Your Dollars is part of BeCentsable’s Grocery Gathering, a compilation of shopping lists for stores nationwide. If you want a shopping list for a store not covered by Pocket Your Dollars, then check out the Grocery Gathering.

I haven’t received and $ off coupons on my extra care online acct but have read (on simply CVS) that others have. Anyone here?
I didn’t get any this week. Probably about 1/3 of the time I get a “$ off” deal in my CVS account, 1/3 of the time I get a “% off non-sale items” deal, and 1/3 of the time I don’t get anything. Since our quarterly ExtraBucks bonus is out today, I’m not too upset though!
I got a $4 off $20 emailed to me yesterday!
Same here!
me too!
I’ve had this happen to me before, checked online to make sure that I was signed up, and it said I was. I called in to their customer service number, and they told me I was NOT signed up. Give them a call and see if this happened to you.
The Clairol ExtraBucks deal requires a $10 spend, so you have to buy two boxes.
Week of September 18th, the CVS coupon machine was spitting out “$3 off 2 boxes of hair color coupons” though, and I hung onto mine, so I am doing:
2 boxes of Clairol hair dye ($13.58)
Using 2 of the $2 off coupons from the 9/18 SmartSource
Also using the CVS $3 off 2 (maybe someone else still has this, too?)
Paying $6.58, so $1.79 each after coupons and the $3 Extrabucks
The Skintimate and Skippy online coupons are not there anymore.
I just printed the Skintimate one. You can only print one it said.
I couldn’t find either Skintimate printable either.
I did not see the CVS skintimate coupon on their website.
Looks relatively boring at CVS- Not the usual outstanding deals-just mediocre ones. ave a few ECB expiring so will find something I guess.
I’m at least thankful to get some candy to give to Trick or Treaters for a sort-of decent price! :)
Is that a good price for puffs. I haven’t been finding deals & allergy season is here?
I am excited for some of these deals! I have the bounce coupon for $2.50 off one bar & a few others to make that deal better.
I know we didn’t get the $2.00/1 coupon for the reach toothbrush but you can go to walmart.com and print off $2.00/1 – Reach Toothbrush – (walmart.com) by going to http://see.walmart.com/reach/
Hey, I noticed I’m having a lot of trouble clicking on the links – I click and click and maybe I can get them to print, and maybe not. Guess I’m wondering if anyone else is having this problem? One example is the Carmex link for the rebate. Just wondering if ‘it’s not you, it’s me??’
I’m having no trouble with the links. The Carmex link is a PDF file. Do you have adobe insalled?
I’m beginning to think more about switching back to Walgreen’s rather than CVS for deals. Yesterday I visited my local CVS and was very disappointed. They recently switched their expired ECB policy from 6 months to 1 month and at that time they did post a policy for their customers in the store. Yesterday when I was in there, I tried to use my ECB’s that were expiring in 4 days and they wouldn’t take them. Evidently they changed their policy last week and are using the expiration date only. They did not have their “new” store policy posted.
I sometimes do not find enough deals to make it worth doing a trip and I will not purchase stuff I don’t need. Is anyone else experiencing this with their CVS or if you have a CVS with a more liberal ECB policy, please share the location. The most convenient CVS for me is Brooklyn Park.
Thanks in advance.
Melissa
I totally agree
The WSP CVS doesn’t even carry 1/2 the things that are advertised and then they have NO knowledge of coupon verbage. I tried to use $1 off 1 can of Seattles best coffee X 5 so 5 coupons 5 cans she said I couldn’t because it said 1 per purchase I said I was purchasing 5. ( I would not have tried it if it said 1 per transaction.) I had her take 4 cans off my order and I only paid $.32 out of pocket for my 7 items. Last time I shop there.
I asked the manager at my CVS on White Bear Ave and she stated that ECB NEVER expire. So I guess I am very lucky at my CVS.
I had a wonderful experience at the New Hope location yesterday. I also like the Brooklyn Center store. I drive out of my way to avoid Brooklyn Park.
Woodbury (Radio Dr. & Tamarack) is awesome…they almost always have everything in stock, and are very coupon friendly. The manager that I see there during the day is also great, he has rung me up a few times when I’ve had some massive savings (~90%) and they just compliment me on finding such good deals!
I’m not seeing where to print the Nestle’s Crunch coupon…
I love the Coon Rapids store on Hanson & Coon Rapids blvd. They have always been so helpful. My EB’s get used up & I like CVS better then Walgreens. I wouldn’t do Walgreens if Cub didn’t take expired RR. I guess I find Walgreens never has the product or you have to buy fillers to use coupons/RR where CVS EB’s are treated more like cash.
Can’t seem to locate the $5/1 Tylenol Precise Product printable. Only thing that comes up is the $2/1. Are they all gone or is my computer crazy as usual?
EP CVS is awesome – I used 10 ECB coupons and 11 Man Coupons and the cashier disnt bat an eye. Saved $46.54 spent $4.63 and got back $11 in ECB.
I agree about EP CVS. Staff there has always been wonderful. Won’t be back there anytime soon though now that the Blmgtn and Edina stores are open. They’re much more convenient for me.
Hey Lisa – How is the Edina one? I haven’t been there yet
The Edina one is great! Lots of stuff in stock, super friendly employees, very coupon friendly!
Downtown Minneapolis CVS is a hassle to use coupons at. I always seem to get the same lady cashier, and she tries her best to find a reason why you can’t use more than 1 coupon. Last time she complained and asked someone about Every Single Coupon, even manufacturer coupons with the fancy reflective holograms on them.
Why she would think a manufacturer would mail 2 coupons to me, but not want to allow me to use both of them, is beyond me.
Having said that, I have always gotten the coupons accepted. But, like I said, its a hassle. Its a big store with lots of stock on hand, but I avoid it when I can.
Anyone know exactly where to find the Nestle Crunch coupon on the site?
Has anybody found the carmex? I’ve looked in two stores and can’t find it. BTW, I LOVE the Bloomington store! Thanks
I found one at the Chanhassen location last night. Didn’t see more than that one though.
The $1/1 Skintimate MQ doesn’t appear to be available any more!
Anyone else not get the $5/1 Revlon coupon in the 9/18 SS?
Not the answer you wanted but I did from sw metro star trib home delivered and from the gas station.
The $0.50/1 Nestle Crunch Fun Size Bags printable also doesn’t seem to be available.
There is also a $2/1 Savingstar or Upromise e-coupon for Huggies Slip-ons!
Hi, I’m from the Houston, TX area and use the Pocket Your Dollars website ! I love the simplicity of it! THanks! Some of our coupons do differ but not too much. I sometimes even get more than what you guys get. However, down here it seems to be the same – the CVS that is most convenient is not the most coupon friendly. I usually go to the larger store and the manager is always friendly and helpful and I also get compliments on my savings! Just thought I would post!!!!
Has anyone found the carmax at the store? I can’t find it. Thanks
I found one Carmax with rebate info on Saturday at the Chanhassen location.
I didn’t find them in the lip balm section but thanks to the gal that works at the cvs on Hanson & CR blvd Alyssa showed me a display of them & had lots of them.
Happy Monday everyone! There is actually a Prezel autumn mix M&M’s bag (it is a lighter blue with pumpkins on it) that counts towards the buy $15 get $5 EB!!!
I bought a Gillette Fusion Proglide razor for $10.99. Used $5 off coupon from a sunday insert, scanned my CVS card and recieved a $3 off coupon, plus $5 RR. This was a $2.01 money maker for me.
I just wanted to say Thank You!!! I went to CVS today and followed your deal idea. I bought 6 dove hair products 3 for my daughter and 3 for me. It worked perfectly all 6 coupons worked! I am on a very tight budget we are so pleased…. Thank you!!! :)
I’m also curious about the Nestle coupon…
If you won’t make it to Rainbow this week, ALL laundry detergent is 2.99 at CVS with coupon- worth the .20 this week for me not to make a Rainbow trip…
A deal I came across shopping was the skinny cow candy. It is $1.19 each and on special b2g1 free. If you have the bogo manufacturer coupon and a $1 you can buy 3 for .19. Sorry I don’t have the coupon date handy.
I had a wonderful experience at the New Hope location yesterday. I also like the Brooklyn Center store. I drive out of my way to avoid Brooklyn Park.
