This week’s Cub Food deals come from the Sunday ad, additional pages of their online ad and a not-yet-expired coupon booklet. Note that all but two coupons from the back page of the ad cross our categories (frozen foods, grocery, etc.); therefore, those crossing categories, are listed in the “Back Page Coupons” category at the end of the weekly deals section just before the coupon booklet deals.
According to Cub Foods’ official coupon policy, their stores accept manufacturer-issued coupons up to 3 months past their expiration date (and in some cases up to 5 or 6 months past), so some of those referenced on this list are expired. If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars, then learn to read this shopping list. If you are having issues, troubleshoot problems printing coupons here.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. As readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store or we get emails with deal ideas, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: What other deals did you spot this week?

Regarding the $5 off your purchase of $50 or more coupon from the booklet: is the $50 total before or after cub coupons?
Could I have the cashier ring up everything make sure it totals to $50, scan the $5 coupon, then scan my cub and manufacturer coupons?
Yes, that’s how you should do it!
That is how I have used Cub $ off coupons before–makes for a great deal.
I always figure out my “before coupon” total and make that hit $50. I hand the cashier that $5/$50 coupon first and than my manufacturer coupons. I just went yesterday and bought (2) 24 pks pepsi and (2) frito lay multipacks for $18 after coupons. I had the cub coupon booklet pepsi coupon and $2/2 from moments to save also $2/2 for the frito lays from moments to save. I also used a $5/$25 e-mail program coupon (which did NOT affect my $20 min purchase requirment to get the $5 catalina on next purchase). So than I used that $5 catalina towards my 2nd transaction (which I also had the $5/$50 from cub booklet and another $5/$25 from refering friends to the e-mail program). I was only required to hit the $50 mark (and again I don’t figure my after coupon total into that, I figure before coupons so it’s a better deal once all the coupons are scanned).
You should also be able to get $.55/1 coupons for Country Hearth bread from: http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=6HBORWAQIBAHK
Thanks, Toni!
I spent $10.99 on the Coca-Cola Co “participating products” (Honest Tea & 6 pack of Evian).
Now how do I get the free ZoN Pink Fitness Resistance Tube? Nobody in Cub knew anything about it. The ad says in tiny print: “Mail-in Rebate. See in-store display for details”
There is no in-store display that I or the cashiers could find.—and no other info.
At my Cub in Elk River a tear pad was attached to the shelf in front of the Fuze.
My Cub had two rebates:
- Purchase $10 in Fuze 16.9 oz., Honest Tea 16.9 oz., Evian 1 Liter 6 pack, Smartwater 700 ml bottles, or Dasani 24 pack bottles between 10/1-10/31, get $5 rebate check.
- Purchase $10 worth of Fuze, Honest Tea, and/or Evian products at Cub between 10/9-10/25, get Free Zon Pink Fitness Resistance Tube.
Both require you to have an official rebate form. I got two of each (extra), so if someone can’t find one, let me know. You can send me an SASE (I’m out of stamps!) and I will send one to you!
Sorrento ricotta cheese is $1.99 this week (web-only section of ad) and if you use the $2.00 coupon that expired 9/26 (not sure which week it was in the newspaper), it’s free!
I only see a $1 off coupon in the database???
Do they have expired coupons in the database?
I look at the database on Hot Coupon World, and yes they show expireds.
Pocket Your Dollars’ coupon database will show expired coupons, also. You just need to change the source date.
Not sure about the database, just know that I possess a $2 coupon that was clipped from a newspaper insert.
It was in the 6/26 SS
Thanks, Emily. I only found a $1 coupon listed.
Some produce notes from the ad: the Minne Minne yellow onions are $1.88 for a 3-pound bag, making them 63 cents a pound. And it looks like winter squash is on sale for 59 cents a pound.
Sandi – Yellow onions are $0.98/3lb through the end of the year at Rainbow. Is this a different variety than the ones on sale there?
Not sure…we go through onions like water at our house, so I get excited anytime I see them for less than a $1/pound. Love getting nicely-priced produce!!!! Thanks for all the comparison work you do, Laura!
Sandi – You’re welcome! :) You should see the price comparison spreadsheet I have…it is huge and just goes to show what a total n-e-r-d I am. :)
And Kwik Trip Gas Station’s everyday on yellow onions, russet potatoes, and bananas are $0.38/lb. I don’t have a Rainbow near me, but I do have a Kwik Trip!
Oh, how I WISH I had a Kwik Trip near me. I went to college in Eau Claire (my family lives there, too) and there are about a bazillion of them within a five-mile radius. I love Kwik Trip. Now that they’re building an Aldi near me, adding in a CVS and a Kwik Trip would make my life complete. (Just kidding…sorta.)
Their milk is 2.18 or 2.36 a gallon also and butter and eggs are cheap Love the Kwik trip they also take competitors gas coupons!
The only wonka candy coupon I see on coupons.com is one for a large bag is this the right one or is the right one out of prints?
Did anyone else print the pasta prima pasta coupon from facebook. It only allowed me to print one and wondering if my computer or if that is the maximum per user or ? Thanks
Yep–only one for me, too. It did say to check back next month for a new coupon.
I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong. For the buy $30 after coupons get $10 off a future order, I bought… (2) Hefty bags @ $6.49 each, (2) Huggies Diapers @ $6.99 each and (1) Snuggle @ $3.24, the total of which was $30.20 but no $10 off coupon printed. Did I do something wrong?
Did you use any Mfg coupons? I think the $30 is factored after all MQ’s. If you didn’t use any MQ’s, I’d go back to Cub with your receipt and ask for the $10
what about your overall OOP ? Is it under $30 ?
I did use Mfg coupons but the prices I listed were the “after” coupon prices that still totaled over $30.
I would go in with your receipt and speak to customer service. Show them that you purchased the correct products and that you spent $30 after coupons.
So bummed…I had issues with the general mills cereal store coupon–supposedly one of the varieties I bought wasn’t included. Luckily, the cashier caught it, but when they took off the cereal that wasn’t included and added one that was, 3 of my manufacturer’s coupons (valued at $3.25) disappeared :( I didn’t notice until this morning when I was looking at my receipt. I’m going to try to get my money back, but I’m not holding my breath…
Moral of the story: always check your receipt before leaving the store (even if you have a toddler on the verge of throwing a tantrum…)
Is that a great price for Cottonelle bath tissue?
Laura – It works out to about $0.38/roll if you buy three packages and use three coupons (taking the $10 off your next order into account). That’s not a stellar deal, in my opinion.
I just made a special trip to Cub to find out why the $10 Catalina didn’t print. After 30 minutes of waiting while they double checked my items and called Catalina to verify that a coupon hadn’t printed originally, they then gave me the Catalina. They didn’t say why it didn’t originally work.
Too bad it took so long but I am glad they gave you the $10.
Does anyone know of a Cub Foods south of the river metro that accepts coupons greater than 3 months expired? I’ve heard people talk about some Cubs that take coupons that expired 6 months ago and am wondering if there are any close to me before I purge all my old coupons. Thanks in advance!
I have not heard of a location accepting them past 5 months expired (which is the Eden Prairie location).
The Cub in Stillwater officially says that they only take coupons up to 3 months expired. However, I know for a fact (because they take mine) that the computers accept coupons expired beyond that. It depends on the cashier, and if they check it or not.
I use greater than 3 month(possibly as much as 6 months) expired coupons at the Inver Grove Heights Cub and have never had a problem- plus great store, very clean and staff very helpful!
I was at my Cub last night and you can’t do the Crest deal and get the toothpaste for free. The $1/1 coupon excludes cavity, baking soda, and tartar toothpastes. Those were the only ones on sale for $1. However, you could use the .50/1 coupon. I personally had a .75/1 coupon from a different tube of crest that I bought before. And look for tubes at Cub that say $10 worth of coupons inside. I got one and here’s what it has inside (on the inside of the box): $7/1 any crest 3d whitestrips professional effects, $1/1 Iams dog or cat food, $1/1 covergirl product and $1/1 clinical strength secret. And none of the expired until 2013. So still a pretty good deal.
Leah – Thanks for the update!
For the toothpaste: There are a few different choices of Colgate and Crest on sale this week for $1, and also OralB and Colgate toothbrushes. I rounded up my Colgate and Crest coupons and got 4 tubes of Crest, 3 tubes of Colgate, 2 Colgate toothbrushes, and 1 OralB toothbrush for a grand total of $4.45 before tax. Not bad!
Does anyone have an extra coupon for the $5 off $50? I accidentally recycled mine :(
Does Cub price match? So if I take the Rainbow ad into Cub will they price match the item? I can’t seem to find that information on their coupon policy and it’s not talked about. Has anyone done this and it worked??
I have an extra $5 off $50 coupon. I’m in Woodbury. Where are you?
UMMM Why would they give you the $10 Catalina coupon at all if we don’t have an ad that shows we are supposed to get one? I don’t want to do the deal if I will get ripped off–I NEED trash bags badly but what do I do if it does not print?
Found it after scouring their website for 1/2 hour…!
Hi everyone. I do ad matches for Jubilee Foods of Becker and Mound (Jubilee doubles coupons up to $0.50) and Mackenthun’s of Waconia. If you are interested, check out my blog at http://www.emssoapbox.blogspot.com or follow me on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/emssoapbox.
FYI, the Ritz cracker coupon link takes you to a page in Spanish – I couldn’t figure out where the coupon was.
I know a little spanish so I perused the site (after googling to find out the word for coupon in spanish)–no luck finding it either.
Thanks for trying JoAnna!
Another good deal at cub is they have pampers diapers for 19.99 (same as walmart) use the $2/1 manufacture coupon (don’t know what paper they are from they are expired but within the 3 months) and you get $2/1 catalina coupon! Thats $4 off your next pack of diapers if you can use both the catalina and the manufacture coupon!
I saw that they have 24 oz Prego for 1.25 each or 4 for 5.00. There are some coupons listed up to .75 off of 2 so that would bring it down to .87 each. I normally don’t buy that but didn’t get much canned this year. I know Aldi has some that is OK too but it isn’t very close. I thought it is usually over $2.50 per jar so I think that is an OK price isn’t it?
Yes, anything under $1/jar is a good price.
