Pick up free Blistex and kids’ cold/cough medicine this week at Walgreens. Plus, you can also get a good price on Tom’s of Maine products and Huggies diapers, among other deals.
If you’re new to Walgreens shopping, then learn how the Register Rewards program works and learn how to read this shopping list. Don’t forget that some other stores will accept Register Rewards like a manufacturer’s coupon. Also, it’s a good idea to print out Walgreens’ official coupon policy and keep it with you in case an issue comes up at checkout.
This is a starting list of deals for the week and is not a comprehensive list of every sale item and its coupons, but just the best deals (things at prices I’d actually pay). We will update this list as readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas or we read about other deals across the blogosphere. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week, we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Walgreens is the one store where an advertised sale like “2/$4” usually requires you to buy two products. The first one rings at full price and the second product will ring at a lesser price to bring the total to $4, using our example. If you ever question whether you need to buy two to receive a sale price, ask the cashier to scan one item for you. If it rings at full price, then you know you need to buy two products. If it rings at the sale price, then you don’t.
Your turn: What other deals did you find this week at Walgreens?

I wonder if you might have missed the Bumble Bee tuna (or I overlooked it.) On sale with in store coupon for .79 each.Limit 3) Buy 2 for $1.58 and use $1.00/2 from Recyclebank for 80 points. Price for each can .29 cents. That’s a good deal for me.
Found this one on another website. I’m not sure all stores would allow the stacked store coupons, but may be possible.
Trident Gum Single Packs, $0.79 with In Ad Coupon.
Use: $0.50/2 Trident Gum, Walgreens September 2011 Coupon Book, exp. 9/24/11.
Use: $1/3 Trident Single Packs, exp. 11/13/11 (SS 09/18/11).
Final Price: $0.29 ea. wyb 3 after stacked Coupons.
I would think this should work just fine. I’ve never had a stacking issue at Walgreens. Thanks!
It should be fine yea, but I can think of one particular cashier that would have a problem with two store coupons at the same time… Just have to avoid that one :)
If you bought four, would the scenario be:
Trident Gum Single Packs, $0.79 with In Ad Coupon.
Use: $0.50/2 Trident Gum, Walgreens September 2011 Coupon Book, exp. 9/24/11. (for a total of $1/4)
Use: $1/3 Trident Single Packs, exp. 11/13/11 (SS 09/18/11).
Final Price: $0.29 ea. wyb 4 after stacked Coupons.
It’s late so my math, and or my thinking, could be off. Just wanted to see if this would work.
That works out the same with my math.
It worked
Good deal–we need gum and Trident is our favorite. Hopefully by the time I get to shopping later this week they will have some in stock.
There’s also a $10/3 Gas-X, Benefiber, Prevacid or Maalox coupon that might work with the Gas-X and the Maalox $4.99 sale listed under Week-Long Deals (I see it already under the Month-Long deals section).
Wish we had recieved this coupon in Mpls!

Ha! :) I was thinking you work so hard when I saw your name all over on last wks Rainbow match ups lol. And here you are. I’m in WI too. I’m more of a lurker/observer here, though. Sometimes I pipe in. Thanks for all of your input.
Does anyone know if the Sept. All You magazine is still on the shelves at their local Walmart?
It was still the Sept. issue when I was at Walmart this evening.
There is a Revlon Makeup deal to be had at Walgreens this week…I did not see it listed above. Revlon “age defying” coupon in the Smart source for $5.00 off and there is Revlon sale at Walgreens that states that Revlon cosmetics are 40% off and get a 3 dollar register reward after you spend $10.00. So I bought 2 concealers at $5.99 each and used 2 $5.00 off coupons that took the total down to $2.85 with tax. Plus I got the $3.00 Register Reward. (A 15 cent moneymaker!) The foundation is priced around $9.99 so $5.00 plus $3.00 RR. Not bad for makeup!
Sandy
Apparently there is a Walgreens coupon that was in Smart Source 7/24/11 for $2/1 Revlon Cosmetics, will deduct twice to take $4 off, stacked with two $5 manufacturer coupons you can get $14 off your purchase and still get a $3 RR. Even better deal!
Thanks for the reminder about that coupon. Using that does make it trickier though because you need to make sure to still spend $10 after the Walgreen’s coupon (but it can still be before manufarturer’s coupons). Also, the 40% will come off after the Walgreen’s coupon is deducted.
What walgreens Mine said sale price $9.99 reg price $14 i think. In fridley.
The Walgreens at 54th and Lyndale in Mpls. also has them on sale for 9.99.
I was able to do a deal today that I do not see listed above. I thought I sent it in but I did not see it. Anyhow, here it is again:
Revlon makeup is 40% off this week at Walgreens and also a $3.00 Register Reward after spending $10.00.
Buy 2 Age defying concealers at $5.99 each (after 40% off)
Use 2 $5.00 coupons bringing it down to $2.85 with tax and then also receive the $3.00 RR.
2 free and a 15 cent money maker!
Sandy – where did you get the $5 off coupons for revlon?
I don’t see it in pocket your dollar’s database but found it in coupon mom’s database–9/18 Smart Source insert.
Yes it was in today’s 9/18 Smart Source. Go read Wild for Wags website for an added Walgreen’s Revlon Coupon deal..it was from a Smart Source awhile back and expires on 9/30 but it makes it even “better than free” than I explained before. You have to buy the foundation and concealer but you get more product if you have this Walgreen’s coupon. I was able to go back to Walgreens and have the manager void the transaction and add in the Walgreen’s coupon. You have to love it when it works out and there is still product on the shelf!
Thanks, Sandy! I’m so glad to hear you had a positive experience with a Walgreens manager! Helpful ones are few and far between around there, sadly, in my experience. :(
[...] lots more Walgreens Coupon Match-up Deals for this week at We Use Coupons and Pocket Your Dollars (in fact after reading Carrie’s updates, I may have to make another [...]
The revlon make up sale is $9.99. So $4.99 after coupon
I tried to buy the M&M’s deal last night (Bought 4, used (2) $1.50/2 coupons) and the $5.00 RR didnt print. When I asked why not the manager told me that deal had ended. Has anyone else tried this since Sunday and had it work?
The deal worked a few wks ago–maybe it really isn’t a month long deal?
I haven’t tried the deal this week, but its still listed as a monthly RR deal on wildforwags.com and other sites. However, I do see a number of comments saying it isn’t printing as expected for everyone…some are getting it some are not.
worked for me tonight. bought 4 priced at two for $5.00= 10.00 used (2) $1.50/2 coupons and received the $5 Register Reward back 10.00-3.00-5.00 = $2.00 paid .50 a bag because I did not get the pretzel m&m’s I did not use the $1.00 off coupon
Boohoo. My Walgreens store/ad/signage doesn’t show RR for the M&M’s deal list above. Am I missing something? I live in Bloomington MN.
I just tried the M&Ms deal a few minutes ago. I DID get the RR printed (I bought 2x pretzel and 2x peanut butter varieties). The signage is still up advertising the RR deal at my store.
Worked at the White Bear Ave Store just fine and the signage was still posted. I purchased 2 Halloween plain and 2 almond M&Ms.
I did another 4 bags and did get the RR again with no problems at my store. 2 bags peanut butter and 2 bags of the autumn mix.
I wonder if you have to buy a certain kind for it to generate the RR. I had bought 2 of the plain and 2 of the coconut and it was at a Brooklyn Park store. There was no sign posted and like I said before, the manager said that deal had ended. Im going to keep looking for signs posted at other Walgreens stores if some of you are still getting it.
Ill keep you posted!
for the wags diaper deal i was able to stack the infant care coupon (which never just scans, they always price adjust my diapers to bring them down $2 a pack, but they are super nice about it) and the coupon that was on the diaper packs.
6.99+6.99-3.49(50%)-$4.00(infant care)-$2.00(coupon on packs)=4.49 or 2.25 each
about .07 a diaper
I posted about this last week too. I was also able to stack the peelie (MQ) with the ICB coupon. However, the 50% off the pack was determined after the Wags coupon, so I only got $2.50 off per half-off pack, making the diapers come out to $2.75/pack.
The $1/3 gum is for multi packs. They wouldn’t except it.
According to the coupon database the $1/3 coupon from the 9/18 Smart Source insert is for single packs. I do not have my coupons with me at work to double check. I will do this when I get home though.
There is another that was in this week’s Sunday paper and is good on the single packs. It has a little blurb about donating right on it.
Just went to the Walgreens in Mahtomedi for the M&M deal and it worked just fine. Picked up 4 autumn mix bags for $10, used two $1.50 off coupons and rec’d my $5RR. The RR sign says good until 9/24. It was confusing through as the M&M’s were listed on sale for $2.99 each but in the end it worked out.
Revlon Age defying is $13.99 – 40%= $8.39 ; concealer $5.99.
$2 Revlon Walgreens (deducts $4)
(2) $5 MQ=$10
OOP $0.38
get $3RR
The Vicks coupons in the 8/28 P&G (exp. 9/30) are good on the cough drops that are 2/$1.79. I used them at two different Wags this week. Both times I found them by the cash register. And both times they rang up $.24, not sure why because the sign said 2/$1.79. You can get free cough drops with the $1/1 and $3/2 coupons.
Hoping to not need these but will pick them up just in case–great deal.
