Amazon is offering a free $2 credit for its Appstore for Android via Twitter. To receive the free credit, all you have to do is link your Amazon.com account to your Twitter account by following these steps:
- Visit this specific Amazon page and click on the “Tweet and get $2” button (if you are not already logged into your Amazon account, you will have to click on the “Sign in to continue” button first).
- You will then be prompted to login to your Twitter account (if you are not already logged in) and allow an application to run by clicking on the blue “Authorize app” button. This application will automatically have you follow @amazonappstore and will tweet a specific congratulatory message from your account (done only once) about receiving your $2 credit.
- Once these steps have been completed, your free $2 Amazon Appstore for Android credit will be applied to your Amazon.com account.
Credit will expire 12/15. Limit 1 promotional credit per Amazon.com customer.
If you currently don’t have a Twitter account, you can still take advantage of this offer by following the steps above and opting to sign up for an account on the provided page.
Also, once you allow the application to run and receive your $2 credit, you can revoke Amazon’s access to your Twitter account by going to your Twitter account settings, selecting “Connections” and clicking the link that says “Revoke Access”.
Don’t forget that you can follow me on Twitter, too!
