As you get started shopping at Target we’d recommend getting familiar with Target’s price matching policy and Target’s coupon policy. You may want to bring printouts of these with you to the store so that you have them in case you run into issues. If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars, learn how to read this shopping list or troubleshoot problems when printing coupons.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. As readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store or we get emails with deal ideas, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Target fanatics should check out the ever-changing supply of Target online coupons, be sure to sign up for Target’s text-messaged coupons and browse Target’s weekly ad online. Plus, if you have a Target card, you can get 5% off your total bill when you use the card to pay.

Hey Everyone there was a Nivea Target Body Wash Dollar Coupon in this weeks paper add that with a 2 dollar Manufacter coupon it will be like less than .25 for the body wash k!
I fou d Nivea honeydew gel body wash 8.4 oz for 2.99 used the $2 off TFT coupon in 8/28 RP and $1 off Tgt coupon making it free
Anyone finding the Visine for $3.04? $3.69 at the ones I’ve checked
Clarification on the HP ink deal you only need to buy one two pack to get the $10 gift card deal making it $21.99 after gift card. I also got a Catalina for $2 off HP ink so I will be doing the deal again this week for 19.99 after coupon and gc. Got a Catalina for a free shutter fly book as well! not sure what it was tied to as I bought $98 in products! Good luck!
I’m pretty sure the free Shutterfly pic book Catalina was from the HP ink. I bought ink and just a few other things and got one.
Oooh awesome! I love those books! – I would love to get a second when I do the HP ink deal again later this week, would be great for our recent Disney World vacation! :)
I got the shutterfly book catalina too the other night and I only bought about $20 worth of food. So I’m sure it is random. :)
That is a great cat!! Hope I get it this wk.
I only had a 9 dollar target bill – cheese, ice cream and some visine and got the catlina too.
I also got the Shutterfly book and I did not buy the HP ink. It was definitely a VERY pleasant surprise!
I got the catalina shutterfly photo book as well but didn’t buy anything computer related.
I got a free shutterfly book catalina too but I didn’t buy hp ink, I did several transaction that day so I need to check my receipts (like the order I purchased them in) to figure what triggered it. I only spent $45 and mostly on H&B, cleaning & groceries (little priced items).
Oh! One more – there was a $1 off degree deodorant 8/28 RP today making the travel size free instead of .22 cents! Got three today at target. And I finally found the travel cascade for .97 at Woodbury target – these are free with the P&G 8/28 $1 off coupons – found the next to the full size dish tablet bags.
Which woodbury target????
Hi everyone :) Target in Cottage Grove has the trial size (3 or 4 ct) cascade on sale for $1.02 ! $1.00 off coupon makes it 2 cents a piece! :)
Target has a pound of 80/20 hamburger for $2.49. Is this a decent deal? It seems so, as it’s $2.79 at both Rainbow and Aldi. I was thinking $2.49 is a stock up price, but it’s not on the list so I’m not so sure. Can anyone help?
Decent deal. I prefer $1.99/lb but with increasing food prices it is harder to find.
Cub has 75/25 for $1.99/lb this week.
I didn’t see this posted but maybe I missed it. Target has a $5 gift card deal when you buy two Playtex Gentle or Sport tampons (36 ct) for $6.99 each ($3.49 each-I think that is a good price for a large box). I have two $1 off coupon from some previous offer and there is a brick coupon on their website http://playtexsport.com/SpecialOffers.aspx . I thought it made for a good deal. The special shelf tag indicated the price is good until 10/15. I was holding off until I could price compare. thoughts?
8/14 SS has $2/1 That would make the deal even better and I don’t think that is a bad price for the big boxes.
There’s a great deal on playtex at walgreens this week.
For the Morningstar deal, be sure to add the $0.75/1 that was in today’s RP.
Thanks, Emily!
Anyone know which Ritter Sport bars are included in this sale? My Target didn’t have sale signs for any of them on Saturday (this deal was on the list last week, too). I bought them anyway thinking the sale price might show up when scanned. It didn’t. Where was this sale posted so I can try and just get a price adjustment instead or returning them?
Amanda – It may have been a temporary price cut. I’ve taken the deal off the list.
FYI: The Country Crock coupon from the August All You is actually $1.00 off of country crock AND a bag of Lender’s bagels. Not quite as good of a deal.
Erika – Thanks for the clarification. I’ll take it off the list.
I am not finding the $2/1 Garnier Herbashine or Nutrisse Hair Color Target printable (exp 9/10) I have looked several times thinking maybe I just overlooked it. Anyone else having this problem, or is it just not there anymore?
Kim – I don’t think it’s there anymore. I pretty much never print Target coupons and I don’t see it.
For those of you that have the Red Card (Target credit), do you know if the 5% off is after manufacturer and store coupons or just after store coupons? Thanks :)
It comes of your total after all coupons, both Target and manufacturer.
I got the Huggies slip on diapers for 3.99 at the Elk River target after my 2 coupons, because they were on sale for 8.99. Great Deal!
I thought that was great that they were on sale. we got the size 5 tho so ours were 5 dollars after coupons because they weren’t on sale.
So far I haven’t seen the small packs of Slip-on, the st.cloud east target only has the giant bags for $20.
Waconia Target has Vaseline intensive therapy lotion on an end aisle near makeup clearanced for $1.41 making it free after $1.50 coupon! Also shawn white shorts for boys on sale for $4.24 making them only $2.24 after denim kids target coupon! Great deal for next summer. Happy Couponing!
Where did you find that $1.50 coupon? It isn’t in the database. Oh, you know what? I think it is the one that expired on the day you bought it! BUMMER!
If you still have the $1/1 12 pk Sierra Mist Target q’s, that makes them $1.50 this week. My q expires 9/3/11. Glad I saved it!
For the Covergirl Coupons ( i know it’s not listed on here) but can I use:
2.50/2 MF-Q
1/1 MF-Q
1/1 MF-Q
I think I did this last week with REVLON…I see that Walgreens have Covergirl on sale just wanting to make sure it’s fine to use at either Target or Walgreens this way.
You can use all three of those coupons as long as you purchase four CoverGirl products.
Not sure the cost yet (will be going to target this afternoon) but I noticed Target.com has a Energizer Ultimate Batteries and the 8/28 SmartSource has a coupon as well both for $2 dollars off. Sounds like it could be a great deal- will check on it this afternoon and get back with the results.
Will this work?
Buy 2 Febreze Set & Refresh Kit $2.50
Buy 3 Febreze Noticeables Warmers, 1-ct $2.50
Use 2 $1.00/1 Febreze Set & Refresh, Limit 4 Like coupons per transaction from PG 8/28
And Use 3 $3.00/1 Febreze Noticeables warmer, Limit 4 Like coupons per transaction from PG 8/28
Pay $1.50, Receive $5.00 Target Gift Card
Final Price: FREE when you buy 5
there are some new coupons on target.com including pepsi 12 pack and batteries.
Yes, it looks like their are several coupons that are new and/or reset!
Kcups are “advertised price” this week but the Eagan Target had the new Barista Prima Kcups for 11.99 also *(reg 14.99) plus all Kcups were buy 3 & get a $5 GC. Add in the 5% red card discount & it worked out well.
Target.com’s coupons now has $1 off Diet Pepsi, so if you use it with the $.75 manufacturer coupon you can get a 12-pack of Diet Pepsi for $.75! I was able to print 2 Target coupons off & use both. I also got Sierra Mist & used the old printable.
Also, is anyone else’s Target printing $5 off $50 coupons after you make your purchase?
Where can I find a printable copy of Target’s coupon policy? Do they still take expired coupons?
Kristi–
They do not accept expired coupons–and never have officially, though some stores were accepting them I believe they stopped.

If you shop at the Lakeville Target, make sure you check the prices at the register! The $5 GC promo card was in the wrong spot for at least one of the Febreze items. I bought two Febreze dual packs (which said they were $2.50. I should have double-checked the card fine print. After realizing I paid too much (and didn’t get a $5 GC), I took it up to the customer service desk. N—- at the desk made me feel like I was a criminal for using the coupons, stating that I got money back on the $3 Febreze coupon, and “that shouldn’t have happened”. She at least let me return the items and exchange them for the single Febreze sprays, and gave me the gift card. It wasn’t a good experience overall though.
I have lots of problems at this Target too with using coupons and making me feel like a criminal….;( Too bad as otherwise I love this Target.
I had a great Target trip today! The cashier even said he had never seen someone save so much. I wanted to share with you gals (and guys) as no one in my life can appreciate a phenomenal shopping trip like you all can! Here is the breakdown:
- Orbit Gum, originally $2.54, on sale for $2.00, bought two and used two $1 Target coupons = $2.00 ($1.00 each)
- Market Pantry Canned Tomatoes = $1.32
- Pace Salsa, unknown original price, on price cut for $5.59 = $5.59
- Market Pantry Refried Beans = $0.92
- Chinese Noodles, unknown original price, on price cut for $0.99 = $0.99
- Market Pantry Parmesan Cheese = $2.94
- Diet Sierra Mist, originally $4.79, on sale for $2.50, bought two and used two $1 Target coupons = $3.00 ($1.50 each)
-Nivea Body Wash, original price $3.19, bought two and used two $2 manufacturer coupons and two $1 Target coupons = $2.38 ($1.19 each)
- Aquafresh Toothpaste Travel Size, original price $1.07 (I thought they were $0.99. If I had known they were over my coupon amount I wouldn’t have bought them), bought two and used two $1 manufacturer printable coupons = $0.14 ($0.07 each)
-Advil 10 ct. Pocket Packs, original price $1.97, bought two and used one $5/2 manufacturer printable coupon = overage of $1.06 (Target doesn’t generally give overages but the cashier had to approve the coupon and so it gave me the full $5)
-Revlon Nail Files (I got 6 packs), total price before coupons was $13.14, used three $5/2 Revlon Target coupons, two of them went through for the whole $5, the other as $4.38 (I have no idea what happened there!) = overage of $1.24
- Merona Skirt, originally $17, on sale for $4.24 = $4.24
- Merona Cardigan, originally $21.50, on sale for $5.74, used one “Buy one Merona item, get the second 30% off” Target printable coupon = $4.01
- Mountain Dew 12 packs, originally $4.79, on sale for $2.50, bought three packs = $7.50 ($2.50 each)
-Mountain Dew Hat, originally $10.99, buy three 12 packs of Mountain Dew and get the hat for free = $0
Paid: $31.39 before tax
Saved: over 73%!!!!
Wow, Emily! Nice job – thanks for sharing!
Oops, the orbit was a printable MQ, not a Target Q!
thanks for posting the pepsi deal. I was going to buy them at rainbow tomorrow but now I can save the double coupon for other coupons!!
Has anyone encountered a Target that has stopped selling Revlon Beauty tools? The St. Cloud Crossroads Target has stopped selling them. They have Sally Hansen tools and one another brand. One would think that if they are issuing Target coupons all of the Targets would sell them!
On another point, my cashier was asking why anyone would bother to be buying the travel size Cascade packs. My response, “Because they are free!”. She kept saying that I would run out too quickly and should buy the larger pack. After a minute or two, I gave up trying to convince her that if it was free, it didn’t matter what size was purchased!
JoAnna and I had a similar conversation about the Revlon tools. The Super Target in Chaska does not carry them, butut the regular Targets in Waconia and Chanhassen do. Weird.
As for the Cascade, I don’t use products that are tested on animals (like Cascade), but if I can get an item for free I will donate it to the food shelf. But she obviously doesn’t gert the point. Why wouldn’t you want a free item?!
My husband isn’t big on buying travel size items, so I usually use my coupons on the larger items if I can find a good deal. We regularly use Cascade, so I used my $1/1 coupons at Walgreens a few weeks ago instead of getting the trial size, but if it were a product I didn’t regularly use and only needed a few of them, then I’d definitely just get the small pack for free.
Neither Lakeville nor Apple Valley sell the Revlon tools. The Burnsville Target does though!
Coon Rapids Target by Springbrook does not have the tools either.
I was at the Maple Grove Super Target today and they had tons of the Revlon stuff. Eyelash curlers, nail and toe nail clippers, nail files and other things I don’t remember. But they had tons of things and tons of stuff. I used the Target coupon for $5 off two and two $1 off Mfg coupons.
I noticed that too about Revlon tools @ Crossroads. The Target on the East side by hwy 10 has them and I’ve decided I like that store much better! Everyone is so much friendlier than Crossroads in my experience, I’ve just switched to going to that one in the last month vs. Crossroads. I loooove my -$5/2 Revlon tools catalina that keeps spitting out!
The Pepsi Deal is still posted wrong: it’s stated by Frugal Family who by the way posted this deal AFTER I posted it here so actually YOU can take credit for this :)
AND sorry, but their math is funky….
2.50-1.00 (target coupon) = 1.50
1.50-.75 (Mfg Coupon) =.75 total cost
**UPDATED** Pepsi 12 Packs $2.50
Buy 1 Diet Pepsi 12 pack and use $1/1 Diet Pepsi Target printable
Plus, use $0.75/1 coupon from 7/17 Smart Source insert (exp. 8/31)
Final price: $1.00 after coupons ($0.08/can)
(Thanks, The Frugal Family!)
Check the math, it should read .75 per 12 pack (.06 per can)
Buy 5 Select Febreze Items, Get Free $5 Gift Card
If the warmers are out of stock, will Target give you a raincheck w/ $5 gift card offer (like CVS)?
Nope, TJ. Target doesn’t raincheck gc deals. Wish they did!
I don’t know where to put this, but I just read on totallytarget that they have this text deal each day. I just got a 40% off George Foreman 133 sq inch Grand Champ indoor grill.
Apparently they do this every evening at 10pm. http://college.target.com/1000-likes#
I’ve signed up for quite a few of the coupons. Fun :)
Hi! Just as a heads-up, I used the $1 Tide coupon on the 3 pack of sink detergents for .97cents in the travel aisle and it said “Valuable Coupon Inside.” Inside there was a $1 off Tide that doesn’t expire until 2012 I believe. It looked like all of the 3 packs of sink detergents had these! I am planning on going back and using my .30 cents off coupons on these. I thought they would be a good thing to donate to a homeless shelter.
I went to Target and they did not have the cake mix on sale…it was 1.27 and the frosting was like 1.67. Am I misssing something?
Bunny–
Prices vary from location to location. Guessing that is the problem. Very frustrating.
Has anyone been able to find the Febreeze Noticeables Warmers anywhere? The two Targets I go to have had cleared shelves and none in stock for the last three days:( So frustrating!
Got the Nutragrain deal today, and was able to use 2 Target coupons and 2 manufacturer coupons – so I paid $3.50 for 4 boxes of Nutragrain bars! As my 2 year old just discovered he LOVES them, this was quite a coup!
Thanks!!
FYI, when I was at the Maple Grove Target today they had Sally Hansen nail polish on clearance for $1.42, I used the Target $1 off coupon and the mfg 50cent coupon making it better than free.
What the target coupon you used from online or one the newspaper inserts. I saw the nail polish on clearance at my target too but I only had a manufacter coupon so I didn’t get them.
Buy 3 Febreze Air Effects for $2.50 each
Buy 2 Febreze Set & Refresh for $2.50 each
2.50×5 12.50 had used $5.00 in Pand G coupons =$7.50 got $5.00 target gift card
spent $2.50 it was like buying 1 and getting 4 free:)or .50 each…
I was at the Buffalo Target today and just a heads up on the following:
*They were all out of the Neutrogena bar soap but I noticed they had small packages of the makeup removal wipes in the checkout lane for $1.99 and I was able to use my coupons for that.
*They were out of the Rimmel eye shadow.
*The Nivea body wash was $3.99, not $2.99 for both the men’s and womens.
*I couldn’t find ever ready batteries or the puffs w/ vicks tissues anywhere…maybe it was just me, but I looked long and hard.
*The Aquafresh toothpaste was $.97 at this Target, making it better than free.
*The Huggies little movers slip on diapers only came in the $19.99 packages, the smaller/cheaper packages were not the slip-on kind so you cant use the manufacture’s coupon for them.
Can anyone find the Puffs tissues with Vicks??
Thanks to Irene, I got stuck on the East Coast and missed the 8/28 expiration date for manufacturers coupons to combine w/Target’s that expire tomorrow. Is there any Target on the East side that accepts expired? So disappointed…
I found Polander All Fruit spread with Fiber on price cut for $1.75, paired with the recent internet Q(link is on this week’s Cub list), only .75!
has anyone been able to use the puff vicks with the VICKS $3.00 off coupon? I tried this at walmart and they told me “it’s not a vicks product, it needs to be cough syrup” i told her that it says any product not just cough syrup or medicine. she said well it’s PUFFS!
Jen–
I used a similar coupon at Target last yr with no issues.
At the MG target today, all Nivea body wash including men’s is $3.99, not $2.99. So it wasn’t free even with all my coupons. Also, there were no Vick’s Puffs at all anywhere. Not even a spot for them so I couldn’t do that deal at all. It was frustrating because I made a special trip just for these 2 things. Maybe this will save someone else the trip.
The Nivea came in 2 sizes at some targets. They had an 8 ounce bottle that was only 2.99, and the 16 oz was 3.99. 1 of the targets I frequent only had the larger, the other had spots for both, but were out of the smaller bottle. I went ahead and got the large ones anyway, because I figured for double the product the $1 I paid was still a pretty great deal.
Hey all, just learned something this week during my Target trip. The Red Card (5% on all purchases) discount does not have to be a seperate “credit card.” You can have them re-route the funds directly out of your checking account. I wasn’t too keen on the idea of another credit card, but decided it was definately worth it going the debit card route!!! Hope this makes sense!! And as always, Happy Couponing!!
