According to Cub Foods’ official coupon policy, their stores accept manufacturer-issued coupons up to 3 months past their expiration date (and in some cases up to 5 or 6 months past), so some of those referenced on this list are expired. If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars, then learn to read this shopping list. If you are having issues, troubleshoot problems printing coupons here.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. As readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store or we get emails with deal ideas, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: What other deals did you spot this week?

I think the Smart Ones final price should read $1.70 each, not $0.70. I wish! :)
I see that you mention to use coupons from the 4/17 Smart source on the Crescent and cheese offer. Does Cub now accept coupons older than 90 days ?
I’m sure the coupon expired less than 90 days ago. They go by the expiration date, not the print/insert date.
The coupon expired 7/9, so it should be just fine.
Anyone know what the grapes are priced per pound this week?
2.49 a lb
If anyone is interested, I have the ad match for Jubilee Foods of Mound/Becker here:
http://emssoapbox.blogspot.com/2011/08/jubilee-foods-of-moundbecker-ad-match_14.html
Also, on that same blog, I did the ad match for Mackenthuns! Hope this helps someone out!
Thanks em! This should totally help! It’ll be nice to get things a little bit cheaper in town rather than spending gas to travel to a Cub just to save a few bucks! :)
I was wondering why your not putting ..like on the aussie buy 2 use $1/1 and the bogo coupon..did cub change there policy.????
Another Question walmart matches can i print the flyer off line and use it???country fair market has great coupon and sales till the 16th…..does that work
question 3 is there a place i can print out sunday preview coupon adds. Its taking me to long to remember whats in the packets..I use to clipp them all but now i have way to many packets….please help someone thank you bekki
Rebecca – You can go to Sunday Coupon Preview for a list of coupons in each week’s upcoming inserts. The list may not be 100% accurate for what you find in your specific paper, but it will probably be pretty close.
My sister pointed out to me tonight that there’s an even better deal for the Farmland Bacon. There’s a $1/1 coupon in the 4/17 SS. Yay for cheap bacon!!
I didn’t get that coupon in my insert but glad you did!
that coupon is for a 24 or 48 oz package – not the 16 oz pkg that is in the ad
I was informed by a cashier tonight at the Coon Rapids Cub, that starting this week, they are no longer taking Walgreens RR. This really messed up my grocery budget for the week because I had several I planned to use there! Now I have to figure out how to best burn up some RR at Wags before they expire!
The Cub in Fridley has a sign at their custiomer service desk saying they do not accept other stres catainasor R. It is hand printed. SO I think it s just that Cub store.
Did they say that is for all Cub Foods or just the Coon Rapids Cub? I hope it isn’t everywhere!!
I used rr on Friday with no issues in shorewood. Store to store, cashier to cashier…..all makes a diff. I love that they accept them but a coupon policy that is consistently followed would be great.
Check through your expired coupons if you’re planning on buying the Fisher breaded b/c I found one for $1 off any Fisher Boy product 16 oz. or larger in my expireds. I have no inkling which insert it is from but it has to have been from before June. (the online Cub ad shows the Fisher Boy to be 18 to 24 oz.)
If you have a Costco membership their organic driscoll strawberries are 4 lbs for $8.99.
In the CUB coupon booklet there is a Caribou Coffee CUB coupon for sale price of $5.99 then there is a $1/1 Bagged Caribou Coffee maufactuerer coupon at Coupons.com – is this a good deal for Caribou Coffee ($4.99 / pound) ?
I think it is only because of the prices we have seen lately. I am a brand loyal person and Caribou is one of my favorites! It hasn’t been on sale lately and 4.99 isn’t bad!
I made a mistake on my last post, it is per 12 oz bag Not a pound, This would end up at $6.65/pound(16oz)
Are these deals for all the Cub food stores or just participating ones? I am new to this site so I apologize if this is a major dumb question… New to couponing over all! :)
Thanks!
Elin–
These deals should work at all Cub stores. Most stores accept coupons 3 months expired and but the Eden Prairie location accepts them 5 months expired.
Thanks, JoAnna! Such a quick response!
Can’t wait to do my first coupon shopping trip!
Always happy to help–hope you get a lot of good deals :)
Elin, I use this list every week for my shopping, but my store in IL differs a little bit. In MN the ad is Sun-Sat, but your ad that starts on Sun mine starts the following Wed. There are always a few little things that are on sale too, I just double check my ad or online. Good luck! Cubs is great that they accept expired coupons, otherwise I wouldn’t get many great deals in my town!
There is a Tribe hummus coupon that I found on eBay: $1/1 certain varities. My cub only carried the Roasted Red Pepper that is specified on the coupon and in the sale. So I got my hummus for $0.60 each.
My cashier profiling finally caught up with me. I chose the younger guy over the older lady and it bit me in the butt! The younger guy happened to be on his second day on the job. I knew things weren’t going to go well when he didn’t know what zucchini was. Oh dear. When I handed him my stack of coupons, his eyes grew wide. I had plenty of store coupons and easy MQ, but then I had a couple coupons for free products that I got from e-mailing companies. When he scanned one, he didn’t know what to do, so he asked the older lady and she accused me of using a fake coupon! It was for Reser’s brand and up to $8 off. She called the CSM and I heard her say “no, it isn’t photocopied…” They made me feel like a criminal, how embarrassing. Not my best Cub Foods trip. :(
Cris, it is one thing for them to scrutinize a coupon, but for them to accuse you of fraud with absolutely no proof is shameful. I would contact corporate or the store manager. They need to know that such disrespect will not be tolerated.
I e-mailed corporate, let’s see if anything comes of it. Luckily I live in an area where Cub is not my only grocery store, and there’s actually a different Cub just a few miles away!
The Sweet Baby Ray’s marinade is that you need to buy 3 to get the 1.00 off.
Each bottle will be over $1.00.
I priced the New French Bakery bread today in Cottage Grove.
Baguette $2.89
Ciabatta Rolls or loaf $3.49 (white or multi-grain)
Italian Peasant loaf $3.69
At my Cub they are all Take and Bake.
Oh, wow I just made my first shopping trip with coupons EVER and me and my husband did a cart each (to get one $5 off $25 purchase each) and we are on a HIGH right now! We both saved over 50% on both our bills and came home with food to cover 2 weeks. And that “free” rotisserie chicken tasted gooooooood!
I can’t believe how much I saved without even having a single insert coupon.. I am hooked for life!
Can’t wait to get back on here for future good deals waiting! :)

Elin – Awesome! Isn’t it a great feeling? We’re happy to have you here. :)
Chris~ I have had that happen to me a couple times at the Woodbury store! Makes me so mad that they think I am using coupons that are fake!!
I went to cub last week in Rochester the manager told me I was only able to use 4 identical coupons. I was getting 8 v-8 fushions. Then she started telling me it was called”coupon ganging” what????? Never heard that. Any ideas????????
I know P & G coupons limit you to 4 identical coupons but I have not heard of coupon ganging. More repercussions from extreme couponing.
Josie – This is probably what the manager was talking about: http://www.jillcataldo.com/gang_cut_coupons. If a store submits too many of the same cut coupon to the manufacturer, there’s a chance that they might not be reimbursed.
Thanks for the info Laura. I am someone who does buy 10 papers because I have a very large family. I only ever clip one at a time, and often I don’t even use all that I have because I don’t like to empty shelves. This link was very informative on a very real problem. I have to coupon due to a very limited budget. I do not want to have a store miss out on their fair reimbursement just because I want to save time. I hope that this issue doesn’t cause more problems for those of us trying to make ends meet by using coupons.
