Twitter account holders can earn a free $5 video on demand credit for Amazon when you link your Twitter and Amazon.com accounts. And if you own an Android device, you can also earn a free $40 credit for HotelTonight.com when you download their free app, which should make for a free, or at least inexpensive, 1-night stay at a hotel. Here are the details:
Free Video on Demand Credit
Amazon is once again offering its popular free $5 video on demand credit via Twitter. To receive the free credit, all you have to do is link your Amazon.com account to your Twitter account by following these steps:
- Visit this specific Amazon page and click on the “Tweet and get $5” button (if you are not already logged into your Amazon account, you will have to click on the “Sign in to continue” button first).
- You will then be prompted to login to your Twitter account (if you are not already logged in) and allow an application to run by clicking on the blue “Authorize app” button. This application will automatically have you follow @amazonvideo and will tweet a specific congratulatory message from your account (done only once) about receiving your $5 credit.
- Once these steps have been completed, your free $5 Amazon Video on Demand credit will be applied to your Amazon.com account.
This offer is valid through 9/2. Credit may not be used for certain titles and must be used by 10/31. Limit 1 promotional credit per Amazon.com customer.
If you currently don’t have a Twitter account, you can still take advantage of this offer by following the steps above and opting to sign up for an account on the provided page.
Also, once you allow the application to run and receive your $5 credit, you can revoke Amazon’s access to your Twitter account by going to your Twitter account settings, selecting “Connections” and clicking the link that says “Revoke Access”.
Free HotelTonight Credit
If you have an Android phone or tablet, you can get a free $40 credit to HotelTonight.com when you download and register for the free app HotelTonight for Android from Amazon. The app offers great deals on same-day bookings at hotels nationwide.
Once you’ve downloaded the app, register for a free HotelTonight account and enter coupon code AMAZON40 to receive your free credit. Offer is only available to first-time customers and will only work on the Amazon Appstore version of the HotelTonight app. Offer expires 8/31.

A little disappointed after installing the ap….I thought I could do a search on any city to see what Hotels are available. But no, the Ap will give you their list of available Cities for that day only. Odds are not in the users favor. Also-the offer expires on 8/31, but does the $40 credit expire then as well, or will they just stay in my Account?

How do we know whar Hotels are included?
