If you are looking for inexpensive ways to entertain the kids this summer, there are quite a few movie theater promotions that can help you save at the theater.
In addition to the theaters I’ve listed below, Regal Entertainment Group is also offering movie tickets for only $1 to select movies this summer, which you can read more about in this post.
Bow-Tie Cinemas
Bow-Tie Cinemas is showing free kids’ movies at 10am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from June 21-August 17. Theaters are located in CT, MD, NY and VA. (Thanks, Susie!)
Carmike Cinemas
Starting this month, you can purchase tickets to select family films for only $1 at participating Carmike Cinemas Theaters as part of Carmike’s 2011 Summer Kid Series. This deal will be available every Thursday at 10am throughout the summer and is available for any age.
During these films, Carmike Cinemas will also offer the Kiddie Tray (which includes popcorn, a drink and a fruit snack) for only $4.
Some theaters will begin this promotion on June 9 while others will begin on June 23, so be sure to make note of this when finding a theater near you using this list of participating theaters.
For my readers in Minnesota, the only participating Carmike Cinemas Theater is in Mounds View.
Cinemark Theaters
Also starting this month, Cinemark Theaters will offer up to 10 tickets to select G or PG-rated movies for only $5 (or $0.50 per ticket) when you purchase in advance at the box office as part of its Summer Movie Clubhouse promotion. Or, if you prefer, you can purchase tickets separately the day of the movie for only $1.
If you are interested in the 10 movie tickets for only $5, you will need to purchase a punch card which is available right now and while supplies last at a Cinemark Theater near you. There’s a limit of 1 person per card, per movie and is valid only at the theater where it was purchased.
You can see if there is a participating Cinemark Theater near you on the Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse website.
Thanks, Savvy Sister Shops!
Lakeville 21 Theater
For my readers located in Lakeville, Minnesota, the Lakeville 21 Theater is offering free admission to select movies every Wednesday at 10am as part of its 2011 Summer Film Series, which starts June 15.
Unlike the previous offers I mentioned above, tickets must be picked up at your local Subway location.
You can view the schedule of movies on the Lakeville 21 website.
Marcus Theatres
Marcus Theatres Kids Rule Kids Summer Film Series promotion will begin on June 21 allowing you to purchase tickets to select family-friendly films for only $2 per person every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10am Offer is available for any age and will go through August 11.
You can view what films are scheduled for each week throughout the promotion and find a participating theater near you on Marcus Theatres’ website.
It looks like most, if not all, of Marcus Theatres are participating in this promotion, so you should be able to find a theater near you to take advantage of this promotion.
Marquee Cinemas
Marquee Cinemas offers free family films each week throughout the summer. Locations are in CT, FL, KY, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TN, VA and WV. Go to the Marquee Cinemas website for a full list of participating theaters and a schedule of dates and selections. (Thanks, Susie!)
