Freebies for Kids with Good Grades

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Now that school is out for most students, those report cards will soon be in the mail and in the hands of parents. Once you get that report card, be sure to hold onto it, as there are a number of great freebies for kids that they can get if they received good grades. Each offer has its own requirement – some require a “B” average while others require all A’s on a report card.

A few of the offers below are listed on the particular company’s website, though most of them are by word of mouth. So I highly recommend calling your local stores to ensure it is participating.

Here is a list of those freebies, organized in alphabetical order.

Blockbuster
Students in grades kindergarten through 12 can get a free movie rental at a participating Blockbuster store if they earned a “B” average or better for the most recent grading period. Students will need to present their original report card signed by a parent or legal guardian within 30 days of issuance to receive their free rental. Offer is not valid for new releases.

Offer is valid through the end of June and is available for kids in grades kindergarten through college. Free movie rental is issued in the form of coupon, which is redeemable through July 15. I live in the Twin Cities and we did the “Freebies for Kids with Good Grades” tour today without much success. Wendy’s didn’t know anything about it, Cold Stone said they didn’t participate, Justice said they haven’t given rewards for grades for a while. Blockbuster enthusiastically replied that they participated, we just didn’t have any luck finding a movie that we wanted to see that wasn’t a new release. We had a terrific lunch at Pizza Hut. The employee I initially asked had no idea about the program. Fortunately I had printed the “Triple A” information from their website (when I called the day before the person answering the phone said they did not participate) and she came back confirming they did indeed accept the report cards. Just thought I would let people know to possibly save some time, or do some research ahead of time.

I just want to thank you guys for sharing your bad experiences. It saves everyone else a lot of time. I won’t plan on going to Pizza Hut or any of the other places uless I call ahead. It’s kind of sad when companies offer nice programs and then the employees don’t know anything about them. Communication issues between mgmt and shift workers or corporate and…….Not good!

My daughter just received free games of bowling from the “rolling rewards” program at Bowl America. In fact they gave her and her friend a total of 50 free games each (straight A’s all year).
