It is a deal-packed ad this week, with five items free after Extra Bucks with the right coupons. Plus, pick up free Scotch tape, inexpensive Fuze, Glade, Neutrogena and Pantene products along with a variety of snacks after coupons and Extra Bucks. You can also scan your card at the coupon spitter-outer machine to get a coupon for $5 off any $20 fragrance purchase.
If you’re new to CVS, your first step is to learn the ins and outs of the ExtraCare program and learn how to read this shopping list. For those who use reusable bags, you may want to buy a green bag tag.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. We will update this list as readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas or we read about other deals across the blogosphere. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: What other deals did you find this week at CVS?

Thanks Carrie! You are speedy.
Unfortunetly, the Pilot Pen printable just ran out. BUMMER! That was a good one!

This coupon states: Redeemable only at Whole Foods Market®
Have you found that CVS honors it?
Val–
Chanhassen CVS accepts all competitor coupons (as long as they aren’t expired). I believe Eden Prairie also does.
Yes, Eden Prairie CVS does accept all competitors coupons. I’ve had so much fun with this – I’ve used coupons from Walgreens, Target, Cub, Holiday Station stores all with no issues and then pair them with manufacturers coupons and still get the ECBs. I love EP CVS. They have wonderful customer service!
Allison I so agree with the EP CVS. Lynn the asst manager is tremendous and all the cashiers have taken care of any problems ON THE SPOT !!! Love EP CVS
I don’t find this: $1/1 Hershey’s Bliss from 5/1 Smart Source insert.
Did we get it in the Twin Cities?
I found the $1/1 Hershey’s Bliss coupon in both ST and PP inserts from Twin Cities.
HI everyone,
If anyone has a coupon for the $4/1 Schick Hydro 5, I would LOVE to get them! My boyfriend uses only these, and it’s an excellent price. I can send you a SASE. I can certainly trade some coupons with you- I have a fair amount of unused coupons, including diapers, pet stuff, and even food.
You can email me at madtownjules at gmail dot com
Thanks!
Julie W
OH wait- I guess it’s the $2/1 Hydro 5 refill, not $4/1. Well I’d take that too! :)
Julie
What if I have 5 Honest Tea Coupons from Recycle Bank, can I not use all 5 and get the 5 drinks, then the ECBs also?
Thanks
Tony–
You can do that, too. The deal idea is a way to you use less of your Recycle Bank points.
I have tried to redeem my recycle bank points for a Kashi coupon but I have not been able to complete the order, won’t let me confirm order, keeps bringing me back to verify order. Has anybody else had problems with this site?
The recyclebank would only allow for one Kashi coupon printed in one months time. I suppose even one $2/1 still brings these down to 1.50 each.
Chad – Were you not able to press the back button and print it again?
I pushed the back button but received the message I had printed already–though was allowed to print 2 times for Honest Tea.
JoAnna,
Thank you. Now that I used up all of my initial Recycle Bank Points, I will remember that for next time. lol.
The neutrogena buy one get free lip balm coupon says walmart only… Can it still be use at cvs?
Mayo–
Many CVS stores accept competitor coupons like Chanhassen and Eden Prairie–maybe your store does, too.
If it’s a manufacturer’s coupon, you should still be able to use it.
Check with your store. Neither of the two stores in my area accepts competitor coupons, unfortunately!
apple valley do not except competitors coupons
I just went to CVS and got the baby deal, however, they wouldn’t take the $5.00 Similac check I had. Has anyone ever had problems using those at CVS? :-(
I was able to use my Similac check in Rogers.
Neutrogena Men’s products were not included in the deal at my CVS – I’m thinking this will happen everywhere because the register generates the ECB.
Annie–same here, men’s items were not included. And, there was no place for Neutro lip balm.
I got a coupon today for free vitamins up to $9.99! I also noticed at the Eagan location a sign at the register that they will no longer accept expired man. coupons or expired EB’s and the coupon must match product…Now I have to remember to use my EB’s ASAP!
Karla–
That’s a great vitamin coupon (especially since CVS vitamins are b1g1 free right now)–I didn’t get that coupon. My store had no sign about expired ECBs–and hopefully won’t. If you have expired ECBs they will probably be accepted at a diff location.
So I went out yesterday to CVS and had my first attempt at couponing, I’m wondering what I could have done better and I’m looking for a little guidance as far as how I could save more in the future regarding different transactions and such. I did all of this in one transaction so I now have all of the extrabucks.
(2) Revlon Color Silk (No coupon) sale @ $3 each
(2) Pantene Pro-V Shamp/Cond @ $3,49 each -$3 coupon + $2 extrabucks
(2) Five Gum (no coupon) sale @ $3 each +$1 extrabuck
(1) Generic Mens Shave cream (no coupon) sale @ $1.57
(1) LA Looks Hair Gel (no coupon) sale @ $2.99 + $2 extrabucks
(1) Revlon Nail Polish on sales @ $4.99 -$1.00 coupon +$3 extrabucks
(1) Colgate Total Toothpaste on sales @ $2.79 – $1.00 coupon + $2 extrabucks
(2) Hydro 3 Razor @ $9.39 and Hydro 3 blades B1G1 + $6 coupons
This all for a subtotal of $29.71.
This means I spent $30 out of pocket but I have all of the extrabucks to use on my next transaction. What could I have done different?
Aubrey–
Check with the cashier but they usually allow 2 transactions right away (if it’s not busy). I bought all my items that generated ECBs and used the ECBs on the next transaction to buy vitamins (on sale b1g1 free). If busy you can still split it up. Bring the 1st purchase to your car and then get back in line for the next transaction.
This might be a dumb question, but I’ve never shopped at CVS. With the toothpaste, it says “Limit two” So would I be able to buy two tubes of toothpaste and get 4 EB back? Or do I have to do separate transactions?
Also, does your ExtraCare card track how many purchases you have made? So if I did the toothpaste deal at one CVS, got my EB and tried to do the same thing at another CVS, would I get the EB again?
Rose–
When you buy 2 in one transaction you will get a $4 ECB–if you buy them in 2 transactions you will get 2 ECBs for $2 each. The card does track your purchases so you are limited to 2 for the whole week no matter what store you go to. If you buy a 3rd, 4th…they will not generate more ECBs.
Does anyone know if you can use the emailed coupons/offers in addition to the current sales? I know it says “excludes sales items”, but I was just confirming. [The email I received today was for 25% off your entire purchase.]
Neil–
The % coupons will not reduce the price of sale items. They do work on newspapers though. When I have a % coupon I hand it over just in case it will save me some $
The 25% off coupon will work on full price items that generate Extra Care Bucks. I used a 30% off coupon on the Hawaiian Tropic suncreen deal.
(2) $9.99 – 30% – (2) $1 off coupons = 11.98 + $10 ECB
For the “spend $10 get $3 ECB”…….. I have a $1/2 Dove chocolate bars expiring 7/1/2011. Not sure what insert it is from, but if you do your same suggested deal but add one dove bar and the coupon, you still pay $7 and get $3 ECB. =)
Thanks!! That really helped!
has anyone found the hawaiian tropic lip balm yet? I checked in Plymouth and Eden Prairie, no luck yet.
Uptown and St Louis Park didn’t have the lip balm either.
No lip balm in Eagan or Woodbury either! Bummer!
University Blaine location had Bounty 12 pack paper towels marked on clearance for $4.33. I used $1 off coupon with it and got it for 3.33 (27 cents per roll). If you have the $5 coupon then it would be an awesome deal!
Rochelle, I don’t see a university Blaine locations. Is this the University location off University and 694 (Fridley)? Or the Blaine location off 109th? OR am I missing one completely? I’d love to go do the Bounty sale!
Thanks, Julie
Oops, I Think I see the one you are talking about–10930 UNIVERSITY AVENUE NORTHWEST? That looks like Blaine, but address is Coon rapids. I’m going to try that one. Thanks for the heads up!
109th and University border of Coon rapids/Blaine. :-)
cvs in st. paul on lexinton ave didnt have lip balm neither apple valley, does anyone have any luck finding?
