Walgreens has recently rolled out a great new program called “Walk with Walgreens” to encourage you to stay active by walking. But here’s the best part – simply by keeping track of your walking, you will earn great rewards from the program’s sponsors, including money-saving coupons, offers and special surprises. Sponsors include Dove, Aleve, Planters, Dasani, Pond’s, Vaseline and many more.
In addition, each day you submit your walking info into your “Walk with Walgreens” account, you’ll be entered into a contest for a $100 Walgreens gift card. One winner is chosen daily.
How It Works
To earn rewards in this free program, all you have to do is keep track of your walking using the provided online log. Once you’ve created your “Walk with Walgreens” account, you can update your profile, set a goal and complete many other journal-like entry questions.
When you are ready to log your walk, you can login to your account, click on the “Walks” link, click on the “Log Your Walk” button and enter the date of your walk and the distance walked. Each mile you walk is equal to 2000 steps.
If you’re not good at figuring out mileage, don’t worry. Just for registering, you will get a free First Steps Kit, which includes a printable coupon good for $5 off a Omron Pedometer redeemable at a Walgreens near you (prices start at $14.99 online; please leave a comment below if you find out how much these are in-store). The kit will also include a free 7-day pass to LifeTime Fitness.
You will receive several rewards almost immediately after signing up, including printable coupons for Planters, Sprite Zero and Dasani products.
Other activities available for you to participate in on the “Walk with Walgreens” website include educational and motivational videos and articles, a discussion forum and daily posts. You can visit the “About” page to watch a handful of videos created to acclimate you with the program.
Thanks, Northern Cheapskate!

Why does it say free pedometer when it costs $14.99-5.00 coupon = 9.99? Not free!
Jeri – Sorry about that. When the post was initially written, we thought the coupon was for a free pedometer. We made the switch in the price but not in the language. I’ll fix it right now.
I signed up….I walk 3-4 times a week so I might as well get coupons and credit for it!
