Frequently Asked Questions about Restaurant.com
Am I buying a restaurant gift certificate?
Restaurant.com calls their primary product “gift certificates”, but they aren’t. They are coupons. As coupons, they require you to spend a minimum amount which is calculated before the coupon is applied. Even with that minimum spending requirement, I think they are still an amazing value.
Do the coupons expire?
No. Coupons you purchase from Restaurant.com do not expire.
What happens if you purchase a certificate and the restaurant goes out of business before you use it?
Restaurant.com will allow you to exchange your certificate for a certificate to a different restaurant. You can check their FAQ for more information.
What are the Gift Cards for?
Gift cards allow you to give your recipient a choice as to which restaurant they would like to eat at. Your recipient can redeem the gift card for face value for a gift certificate/dining coupon to a particular restaurant.
