Today (5/10) only, Best Deal Magazines is offering a 1-year subscription (13 issues) to Consumer Reports for only $25.95. No promo code needed.
I’ve been tracking magazine prices since last fall, and I don’t recall ever seeing Consumer Reports go on sale.
The price is slightly higher than many other magazine subscriptions, but I am a huge fan of this magazine. It not only gives you information for a huge range of products, including cars, kitchen appliances, insurance policies, even frozen dinners, but it also provides reviews from consumers like you. It is a super resource for comparing products and helping you make an informed decision before you buy.
My husband and I always check their reviews before buying anything. We’ve followed their advice on baby gates, cars, blenders, vacuums, computers and anything else we buy. We use it so frequently I believe it has more than paid for itself by keeping us frmo buying products that don’t work or are less than what we need The magazine is reader-supported and I am glad to have the opportunity to help promote it.
Your turn: Have you ever read the Consumer Reports magazine to help make a purchase? What did you think of the information it provides and the consumer reviews?

My husband and I have an online subscription. We go to it before purchases as well. From engines on vehicles to dishwashers, we have checked before purchase and were very pleased.
I also just purchased an on line subscription. I just used it to figure out what dryer to buy. I have also used Consumer Reports to make decisions on other items such as auto purchases. I have been very satisfied with their recommendations I believe they have saved me time and money.
I think the online subscription is around $25 or $26 for the year. If you buy the magazine and then also want the online subscription, you can get it for $19 for the year. Personally, I prefer the online version because I can log in and immediately find the info I am looking for without searching for the right magazine (if I would even have it). Also, if they have made any updates, I would think you would get them sooner in the online version.
