It’s a much better week at CVS this week with deals on candy to satisfy your sweet tooth, sun care products and hair color. Plus, find a decent sale price on paper towels, something we haven’t seen too recently at CVS.
If you’re new to CVS, your first step is to learn the ins and outs of the ExtraCare program and learn how to read this shopping list. For those who use reusable bags, you may want to buy a green bag tag.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. We will update this list as readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas or we read about other deals across the blogosphere. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: What other deals did you find this week at CVS?
Pocket Your Dollars is part of BeCentsable’s Grocery Gathering, a compilation of shopping lists for stores nationwide. If you want a shopping list for a store not covered by Pocket Your Dollars, then check out the Grocery Gathering.

I’m not seeing the $2 sunscreen coupons with either link. Am I missing something?
Thanks!
I got the second link to work and then you have to register with Neutrogena and it will let you print coupons after that.
The Loreal link isn’t working for me either? Hmmm…..
Yeah, even after I registered it only gives $1 off make-up products?
Hey Carrie, I’m disappointed to see that you are suggesting we use multiple computers to get more coupons. Why can’t we just be satisfied with the two coupons we are allowed to print? Someone on Thursday wrote that they had gotten 35 bottles of Nivea. When does this fun way to save the family money become an addiciton?
It appears to me that Carrie’s deal idea requires multiple computers only in order to meet the $15 threshhold required to get the rebate from CVS. I have been frequenting this website for nine months now and have never seen Carrie encourage anything other than moderation and meeting the needs of one’s own family. Please keep in mind that for some of us who use this website this “fun way to save the family money” is actually a means to keeping our familyies afloat, making our mortgage payments, etc. during tough economic times.
Well put, Jennifer.
MJ – I appreciate your candor and hear your viewpoint. I’m not answering your rhetorical question and request that others don’t either. Let’s keep this thread focused on the deals at hand on the CVS list.
There is a buy 2 get 1 free Nivea Body Wash in my most recent All of You magazine that looks like it will work well with the Nivea deal, unless I read it incorrectly. Thanks to Carrie and her team for all you do! Much appreciated!
Jen–thanks for the idea :)
In the June All You there is a B2G1 Free Nivea Coupon….
Just did the Nivea deal tonight. 4.88 body wash with free hand lotion attached – Used 3.00 off nivea product each and a 1.00 off coupon CVS sent me. – 5.00 ECB. I can’t remember where the 3.00 off coupons came from, foun them in my Coupon Folder already clipped… but I suspect they came from an insert.
Neutrogena Suncare deal wasn’t that great once I saw the prices. Most came to over 10.00 each. There’s a little stick you can get for 8.00.
My CVS was out of L’Oreal face scrub so I’m going back on Tuesday.
That doesn’t sound like a GREAT/stock-up deal on the FB olive oil (which I use daily)…but it’s good. :-) Seems like I saw this on sale somewhere recently though…maybe a PC at Target? I know PNS had this brand on sale a bit ago and it wasn’t ending until sometime this month I think. I was bummed because all of the peelies that were on the Ronzoni HH pasta boxes were for that brand (I think) but were all expired, even on my new boxes. :-( Glad to know there are printables out there, ’cause I’m out! I’ll check and post again if I find a better deal at either place.
Can’t print the Sensodyne printables. It gives an error code. And I think it is a pretty good price on that toothpaste. It is normally more expensive and not one I have ever really seen getting free or less than $1.
Thanks!!
The Sensodyne link worked for me. There is also one on the Rainbow list for this week you could try.
Alex
Did great at CVS today, I only bought the things I really will use, today it was toothpaste and deodorant. I resisted the things I don’t need (candy!) and the things I would have bought only to get the ECB (neutrogena sun) The coupon machine gave me a $3 off healthcare products today – it worked for my items, and I received a $3 off Sensodyne in the mail from CVS, so that was a moneymaker. This system really does work – but I couldn’t do it without this list!! Thanks!
CVS’s coupon machine printed a $3 off of a $10 purchase of “health care items” for me today! I was able to use this coupon stacked on the Huggies deal!
For the bandaid deal I bought the cheapest neosporin included inthe deal which was 5.79 and the cheapest bandaids at 3.59. To bring me up to $10 so I could use the $3 off $10 coupon I bought a box of clearence bandaids they had for .89 cents. I used one .50 cent off bandaid coupon and one $1.50 off 1 neosporin and 1 bandaid product. After extra bucks and coupons my 3 bandaid products were .75 cents each.
I also did the Neutrogena deal also which didn’t end up being so great. At my CVS the cheapest item was 9.99, but I bought two items that were 10.99 each because I had more use for that particular type of susnscreen. I only had a $2 and $1 coupon so after extra bucks I still spent 4.50 each.
I got a postcard from CVS this past week with a $3/1 Sensodyne ProNamel toothpaste $5.99 or more store coupon. Since it is on sale this week for $4.49 does this coupon still apply by CVS rule (assuming the ones on sale this week were $5.99 originally)? Thanks,
Alex
I also got the $3 off $10 healthcare items from the machine today, my cvs allowed me to use it on the sunscreen deal. I bought two 4oz sunscreens for 9.79 each, used two $2 off neutrogena coupons, the $3 off healthcare coupon and ended up paying 1.29/bottle after my $10 ecb’s. I’m happy, we were in desperate need of sunscreen! I am in LOVE with our CVS, the employees are awesome. Too bad I never have the same experience at walgreens :(
Same here Steph! I love our CVS but have never had very good experiences with Walgreens. They’re literally right across the street from each other too!
Right across the street from each other here too! Who knows, maybe we are sharing the same stores… :)
I have told the CVS people how awesome they are & how much I truly appreciate them, the said they hear all the time how people love CVS but have terrible experiences at walgreens. I honestly look forward to my trips to CVS, they have gotten to know my kids and are always SO helpful and nice to us. I DREAD walgreens and only go if the deals are too good to pass up, even then it’s like a chore. Not to mention the disappointment that most of the time they are out of stock anyway :(
Just went to CVS in Maple Grove, and it did work to use the $3/10 on the sunless tanning, and I was using up all my(expired) ECBs and the manager told me they will only take expired for 1 week now in the future. Just wanted to give a heads up as they have always taken my expired in the past. Glad I used them up today to get the $10 from sunless tanning. so use those ECBS!!!
For the Band-Aid Deal, I did 2x Small size Band Aids ($3 each), and Neosporin ($6). Used $1.50/ Band-Aid & Neosporin, $0.50/ Band-Aid, and $3 on $10 of healthcare products. Got $3 ECB (total $4). Plus, I then sent off the mail-in rebate for a free first aid kit (the rebate is next to the Band-Aid coupon in yesterday’s coupon insert, and you have to buy 3 Johnson & Johnson products to use it).
Just checked the PNS website and the Filippo Olive Oil is on sale, not sure how long though (unless there is a way to see that online that I’m missing???)…anyhow, the price for the Light and 100% is $4.85 for the 16.9 Oz bottle, and $5.14 for the Extra Virgin. If you’re able to take advantage of the Double Daze, the coupon here would get it better than CVS’s deal for the first 2 ($2.85 or $0.17/oz), but CVS is better for Extra Virgin, if they have that variety…although even if they don’t, if the ad doesn’t exclude it, you could comp it at Walmart and still get it for cheaper than PNS.
I just also noticed there is a 1% on UPromise for Filippo too. It is for any of them, unlimited uses, and doesn’t expire until 09/30/11.
Carrie,
I am new to this couponing and bought a sunday newspapers at starbucks in dakota county and never got the red plum insert. Do i need to subscribe to the paper to get all the coupon inserts?
Thanks
Smitha
Tried to use the CVS $3 off $10 “healthcare” coupon today on the Neutrogena sunscreen. Cashier wouldn’t let me. She said the employees are getting lots of memos regarding coupons. I wish I knew ahead of time what “healthcare” covers!
If you want to do the Huggies deal.. I went to the coupon machine today and scanned my card, and got a $4 off when you buy any diapers and wipes which makes this deal even better!
My CVS wouldn’t allow me to use 2 manufacturers coupons for the Neutrogena sun care stuff. The coupon reads. One coupon per customer and also one per purchase. It beeped and she wouldn’t let me use it. I wish CVS had a coupon policy in writing!! So it really wasn’t a great deal for me. They didn’t sell anything under 10.49 either. Well, there is more than one way to get burned. :)
