Cub Foods has their weekly ad, plus a coupon booklet, plus an additional four pages of deals advertised exclusively on the Cub Foods website.
According to Cub Foods’ official coupon policy their stores accept manufacturer-issued coupons up to 3 months past their expiration date (and in some cases up to 5 or 6 months past) some of those referenced on this list are expired. If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars, then learn to read this shopping list. If you are having issues, troubleshoot problems printing coupons here.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. As readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store or we get emails with deal ideas, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: What other deals did you spot this week?

At my Cub last night I noticed that Clairol has a deal if you buy 2 you get $3 off your next order. Prices were $7.99 -$8.99.
Sorry, It was for hair color.
Cub also has Oscar Mayer Lunchables or CRACKER COMBOS on sale this week 10 for $10 (you don’t have to buy 10 of them). This weeks SmartSource has a coupon good for $1.00 off any Oscar Mayer Sub or flatbread sandwiches, CRACKER COMBOS or new sandwich combos.
So, you can get one package of the Cracker Combos for FREE!!!
My store had sub combos for that price too!
Double Check your receipt! My store also had signs for the subs 10 for $10, but it rang up at $3.99 on my receipt! Customer Services fixed it for me though.
Can you use 10 coupons and get all 10 free? Is that ethical?
Pam-FYI I just got back from Cub and I bought 8 boxes of Ronzoni Pasta and 12 of the Oscar Mayer Cracker Combos(all were $1.00 ea) and had coupons for all, so they were all free. Check the expiration date on the Oscar Mayer packages though, mine expire on 5-25-11.
I would say yes!
I tried to use the coupons at Rainbow instead, they have the same 10/10 deal, and should have gotten money back on them oncethey doubled, but they would not do it. Shoot! that money back was giong to pay for the other groceries that I wanted. The shoreview rainbow.
Blueberries are $4.99. So with the bogo they are $2.50 each.
I found hang tags on the Lawry’s marinade for $1.00 off 1 making them FREE! I saw the hang tags specifically at the Rainbow in Midway.
Also – my Miracle Whip SS coupon is for $1/2 – not $.75/1. :(
I didn’t see hangtags at Cub. In my opinion, I think it’s a good idea to buy the product that the hangtag is attached to.
I agree – I was just mentioning to be on the lookout for specially marked marinades at your Cub. I know I saw them at Rainbow and perhaps a few Cubs also have them!
:)
anyone find the hangtags at any stores in the north metro area?
my kraft coupon is $1/2 too! but you know, since the in-ad q says limit 2, we can still use it, it will just be $1.49 each which i don’t think is terrible.
What is the Moments to Save insert from 5/1? Was it in the newspaper?
Dee–yep, it was an insert in the newspaper with coupons for soda, chips…
I thought this was a good deal…there is a coupon in the weekly flyer for free Snuggle when you buy All detergent. I paired it with a newspaper coupon for $1 off All. I got the All and Snuggle for a totall of $2.99. (The All is on sale for $3.99)
where was the newspaper add for the All??? is that something accessible that i can get to? I am in the north metro.
The coupon is in the household section of Cub’s weekly flyer. You should be able to pick that up at the store.
FYI, Lloyd’s Barbeque is $6.49
The Catalina deals for coupons off your next shopping trip on the DiGiorno pizzas and California pizzas are for purchases between 4/18/11 and 5/15/11, so those deal ideas are only good today (Sun. 5/15).
thanks for the heads up. guess i won’t be doing this deal again. i stocked up on may 1 coupons since there were so many inserts. $1/each is a fair price, but not too good to pass up. i don’t buy a lot of frozen pizza anyway. i guess the five i bought last week will have to do.
It would have been nice to know the deal ended before the coupon book. I was planning on doing the DiGiornio deal tomorrow.
I didn’t know or would have included the date. Sorry, Sally :(
What is the :Savings For A Better You booklet that is mentioned in the Powerade deal? I have looked several times at my Cub and can’t seem to find them anywhere!
The “Savings for a Better You” booklet was available at Cub in January. It was a blue and green coupon booklet and it had a salad on the cover and said “Savings for a Better You”. It hasn’t been around for quite a while. It had the following coupons in it, all of which are expired, but of course, Cub takes expired manufacturer coupons:
::$25 off your grocery purchase with any new or transferred prescription
::$2.00 off any Cub brand food product purchase of $10 or more
::$1.00/1 Truvia
::$1.00/2 Healthy Balance reduced sugar juice
::$8.00 off Alli
::$8.00 off Nicorette
::$1.00/2 Nabisco 100 calorie cookies or crackers
:: $1.00/2 Hillshire Farm Lower Sodium lunchmeats
:: $3 off 10 Vitamin Water
I found premixed Similac Advanced for 2 for $11. I had manufacture coupons for $5 off one Similac item. It states that you may only use one coupon per transaction. I asked the cashier if I could use two. She called the manager over and ok’d it. 2 jugs of similac cost me $0.50 each!
Does anyone know how good a deal it is for the Lawry’s marinade? Is this the rock bottom price or not?
It’s an awesome deal. $1 is the lowest I’ve ever seen it go.
When Coborn’s was doubling coupons on Tuesday’s, I was able to get 4 bottles for free.
Just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful list!!! Love Love Love your blog!!! AND you are correct about $5 off of $50 being before coupons, I tried it already.
You can no longer print the coupon for Tony’s Frozen Pizza.
Kraft mayo coupon in 5/15/11 mine is for $1.00 and cub has it on sale for 1.99 so you get the kraft may for .99 not bad:)
Hi..Check the quantity on your coupon my ad last weel was 1.00 off two..I bought two at 1.99 each that was 3.98 then I used the 1/2 and the were 1.50 each..still a very good deal so I stocked up 6 salad dressing and 4 real mayo I had to do a couple transactions but it was worth it I priced mayo last week and was shocked at the 4.69 price tag ..should get us through summer just fine!!
I looked at my coupons and I do not see a Kemps $1.00 off coupon. Do you have the correct date listed?
Carrie,
Are you sure this coupon is in this packet.
The milk coupons is for Land o Lakes, not Kemps. This is for both Cubs store and manufacturer’s coupons.
Plym. Rockford Rd. Cub had Kraft dressing for $1.79 before any coupons.
Target has a better deal on the Starbuck’s Frappuccino this week. They’re 5.99 each but you get a $5 gc when you buy 2 making them 3.50 a piece after gift card.
You can’t use both coupons for the shrimp. Both coupons are store coupons & you can only use one store coupon per item (the in-ad coupon for $4.99 is also limited to one per family). I went to Cub today & looked into it, so I didn’t get the shrimp at the time.
Just a heads up…I just left Cub and I noticed that the Orville Redenbacher 6pk pop-up bowls are not on sale for $2.00 they are still priced at $4 something. The 3pk pop-up bowls are on sale for $2.00. The link to the coupon is for the 6pk and will not work for the 3pk deal.
I looked high and low through the ad to find this deal and I’m either missing it or it simply is not there. Was this a deal on the Cub website? I just came back and they were 4.99 at my Cub.
The 2 for $4 is listed on the back of a small 2 page flyer found in the store. It does not contain coupons. It says it is for the 2-4 count package but in the store today it seemed all the packs were 3 count.
$2.75 for Hormel cure 81 ham is actually a good price. It’s one of the best tasting ham on the market, very lean.
I just wanted to mention at my cub on select packs of golden plump chicken there is a coupon for 1.00 off if you buy 3 rice a roni, plus you could use the 1.00 off coupon from smart source website for chicken as well.
Did a mailer come to people for $5 off a $50 grocery order at Cub. I usually get them in the mail but didn’t get this one. Just wanted to make sure it was a mailing and I didn’t miss it somewhere else!
amy–yep, the $5 off of $50 came in the mailed coupon book. You can get the coupon book in stores but it won’t have the $5 coupon :(
I forgot mine at home. The cashier had one sitting at her register and scanned it for me…just ask!
Rogers Cub has the Land O Lakes chocolate milk for the 2 for $6.00 deal. I used 2 of the $1.00 off so I did in fact get them for $2.00 each.
I also found coupon post its for the Land O Lakes 35 cents off either Sour Cream or Cottage Cheese (had a couple of other items but I don’t remember what they are) in a different store (MarketPlace in St Michael had them.) So keep an eye out.
Orville Redenbacher Pop Up Bowl (6-pk) $2.00
Use $1/1 from April All You magazine or $1/1 Orville Redenbacher’s Pop Up Bowl printable or $0.55/1 from 4/17 Smart Source #2 insert
Final price: As low as $1.00 after coupons ($0.17/bowl
At the cub I went to tonight they had the 3pk for $1.99 but the 6 pk was much more. The manager checked and said it was the 3 pk on special.
I have a big order for cub this week that end with $0.00 paid!
I will post what I got and pictures of the items and receipt(s) after the items are purchased.
Josh – Take a photo when you get home, then email it to me and I’ll gladly feature it in a “results” post.
Ok so at the Rogers Cub I went to do the Lloyd’s buy 1 get 1 automatice deal but the computer refused my 2nd coupon for the free item but the cashier overrode it (thankfully). This did not happen for the Simply Dressing I believe because that had a buy 1 get 1 coupon.
Also, it’s worth noting that they are running a buy 1 get 1 auto deal on Gendney Baby Dills (large jar) $3.59 I used 2 .55/1 coupons. That calcs it out to $1.25/large jar!
The blueberries at the Arden Hills Cub are $4.99, and then BOGO Free. Is $2.50 a good price for blueberries for a dry pint?
Thanks
Jen — I wouldn’t pay 2.50 for blueberries. Unless, you need them right away, I would wait til they are in season and abundant on the market. Then I usually buy them by the case at Eisenberg’s in St. Paul — for about 7.95- 9.95 a case, which makes them less than $1. Blueberries freeze very nicely and I sometimes just leave them in the container after rinsing or rinse and put them in the small snacks zipper bags, which makes it easy to pack into a full freezer and easy to defrost when ready to use them. You can put them in so many things, like banana bread, chili, peanut butter sandwiches, etc.
Jen — just checked Eisenberg’s website and they have blueberries by the case $9.95. It’s worth the drive!
Thanks for the rec on Eisenbergs, never heard of it, buts I work in St Paul so I will definitely check it out.
Andy — Eisenberg’s is the twin cities best kept secret. You can check their website daily to see what the prices are and when you start going there, you will start to see a pattern and can anticipate what case items they will be having. Some things are very ripe and need to be used or frozen quickly. They also have great prices on dairy — ie: sour cream, yogurt, dip — things that are close to expiration and some that are months away. It’s right off the freeway and parking is plentiful and easy. Have fun!
Thanks Scat
Just returned from cub. 16 boxes of pasta, 2 pkg. Of Ballpark franks, 4 boxes of townhouse crackers, 6 yoplait yogurt, 2 boxes of No Name burgers, 2 baby carrots, Oscar Meyer cracker combo,1 shredded cheese and a container of sour cream, all laundry soap and a box of snuggle fabric softer. $38!!!!!!
I missed something. Two containers of miracle whip
Had a great shopping trip – spending only $33.20 and saving over $38! Bought all meat, dairy & veggies (and a few treats my son wanted that we didn’t have coupons for) :)!
The cashier actually commented to me how good I did doubling up Cub coupons with MQ’s :)
I have been using this site for over a year since my daughter had open heart surgery – this site has helped me save tons of money – which helps cover our medical bills & me staying home with my kids!
Thank you Carrie & all who contribute!
The coupon below is good until 6/1. I don’t see it on this weeks list. It would work for those that didn’t get the 5.00 off 50.
Spend $25, Save $2 on Your Grocery Purchase
Buy $25 worth of groceries and use this $2/$25 purchase at Cub Foods printable coupon
Final price: Varies after coupon** The link is in the 4/30 weekly deals.
Thanks for posting this!! :)
Does any one know if the fruit lunchables are on sale also?
No, but they are on sale for 2 dollars each.
I saw them on sale at super target for 1.35
They were on price cut for $1.49, a better deal at Target if you are going there, but still not bad at 49 cents.
the Tony’s pizza coupon is no longer available.
From the list…
Dannon Yogurt $0.50
Buy 6 and use $0.40/6 from 1/30 or 4/10 Smart Source insert or
Buy 10 and use $1/10 from 1/23, 1/30 or 4/10 Smart Source inserts
Final price: As low as $0.40 each after coupon
I just bought 10 and used my coupon but they were 69c each…I can’t find Dannon Yogurt in the ad…if there is anything in print I will get credit next time I go to Cub. Was this a typo? Yoplait’s are in the ad for 50c. Anyone know?
I got 47 free boxes of Ronzoni Garden Delight Pasta for free at Cub using this site and all the inserts my boyfriend brings home from the recycling container at the apartment complex he works at.
We are not hoarders or anything….most of the pasta is going to the food shelf.
here is a picture:
http://i53.tinypic.com/ush8k.jpg
It would be helpful to know which Cub you bought the 47 boxes of pasta at so that others here will then have the option to go to a different store, since they may not have re-stocked and it’s really disappointing to see empty shelves.
I agree with scat. I sincerely appreciate your generosity towards food shelves but there are many of us who rely on these deals to feed our families & still be able to pay our bills. I was unable to find this pasta because our shelves were cleared. I am also lucky to be able to get several coupon inserts for free, & do appreciate donating when I can. But in those circumstances I will buy 2 or 3 for my family, and another 1 or 2 to donate (provided there is several left on the shelf), leaving plenty of stock left for others. Thanks again for your donations but please consider moderation next time :)
Rain checks are a great idea but not all stores offer them on their best deals (Walgreens), coupons may expire by the time the product is back in stock and the store may not accept that (though Cub does 3 months expired). I believe her point was to be polite and not be extreme. Buy what your family will use until that product goes on sale the next time around :)
I stumbled across this again accidentally tonight.
I can’t believe my last post was deleted!
Sure not all stores offer “rainchecks” but the Cub Foods locations where I purchased all of the Ronzoni Garden Delight(FOR CHARITY) do offer rainchecks and considering these now expired coupons are STILL good to use at Cub foods almost 6 months later…
I didn’t deprive anybody of ANYTHING! I feel like I did a great thing by donating all that to charity but instead I am being bashed when people really need to look at the bigger picture and pay attention to what store I did this at:
A store that offers both rainchecks and takes 3 month expired coupons….
I didn’t deprive anyone of anything(in fact I helped the needy!)
I went to Cub and Corborns this week. I saved 37%! The Corborns ad had dressing and hot dogs on sale and indicated in store coupon. When we got to the store they had the same manufacture coupons copied and I was not able to use my own. Is this something that happens a lot? I am very new at this couponing!
Has anybody found this coupon book anywhere yet?
http://thekrazycouponlady.com/2011/05/15/125-years-of-summer-fun-coca-cola-coupon-book-85-in-savings/
I looked at Walgreens, Rainbow, Target, Walmart and Cub for it with no luck. The WSP cub had a poster advertising it near a end-cap coke display but there was no coupon booklets or even a spot for them.
I won movie tickets and am going to see pirates 4 in 3d on Saturday at AMC and there is a coupon in that book for $2 off a large fountain pop.
if anyone finds the “125 Years of Summer Fun Coca Cola Coupon Book” please let me know where you found it.
Josh, I found that booklet at the Rainbow in WSP near the meat section in the middle of the store, but that was 2 weeks ago and I’m not sure if they still have it in the store.
I bought Cheetos Puffs white cheddar flavor, they’re 2/$4 but they each had $1 off one coupons on them, so $1 each for white cheddar only.
I bought the Snapple on the same reciept for the # of persons in my household, but the
actual rebate says 1 flavor per household, period.. Can anyone help me?
Thanks. Di
Can you use expired WAGS RR at Cubs?
Julie–
according to their coupon policy expired (up to 3 months) should be accepted.
Julie–
Carrie posted a link to the policy and added her own notes, too.
http://www.pocketyourdollars.com/2011/04/cub-foods-official-coupon-policy/

stocked up on two things today. everything i bought, i will use.
My Cub has a new coupon booklet with manufacturrer coupons in – it is called ” Fresh summertime fun”. keep an eye on it – few of those coupons you could use at Rainbow this week.
