Rue La La, an exclusive, invitation-only daily deal site, is offering a free $20 credit when you sign up for a new account by April 25. The credit can be used towards anything on the site, including shipping and handling costs, and will appear in your account within 48 hours of signing up. Deals change daily, so if you don’t see anything you like today, you have until May 25, 2011 to use your free credit. Offer is valid for new members only.
Rue La La offers up to 50-90% off designer brands, including clothing, home décor, bedding, jewelry, shoes and more. They do sell products priced at $20 or less, however, keep in mind shipping and handling is $9.95 (ouch!). On the other hand, they do occasionally sell vouchers with free shipping or you can earn additional credit by referring friends.
Though it can take up to 48 hours for the credit to appear in your account, readers elsewhere have reported seeing it much sooner. If that’s the case for you, through the end of today, Rue La La is having a Puma sale with several pairs of kids Puma Suede Sneakers marked down to $22.90 (originally $40).
As I mentioned earlier, shipping is an additional $9.95, however, with your $20 credit is applied, the shoes are still 68% off ($12.85 total, including shipping).
If you don’t receive your credit in time for this deal, don’t worry. The credit doesn’t expire until the end of May and more deals are sure to come – I will do my best to inform you of any other noteworthy deals before the credit expires.

I got the credit within 20 minutes on my account. Not sure if anything I will get. Looks like $9.95 standard shipping and verything is $20 or more. I can get a t-shirt at JCP on clearance for $2-$3. Will keep looking.

I received the credit while I was shopping (shortly after I signed up). I bought 2 pairs of puma sneakers for my 4 year old for less than $40. Not too bad since a pair of brand name sneakers are usually $40 each.
The credit actually did come through – it just took some time, and RueLaLa says it can take up to 48 hours to show. I ended up getting my hubby a pair of Pumas for $26 – and a really nice pair, not the generic ones, so I was quite happy. I’m willing to spend the money when it’s something unique and of quality, and especially when I get almost half off a sale price.
