Test Toys for Free. Creative Kidstuff needs kids ages 18 months to 10 years to test toys their stores are considering on Sunday, May 15, at 5:30 p.m. Participants will receive a $5 Creative Kidstuff Gift Card, plus be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card. Parents are required to attend this event with their child, watch them play with a variety of age appropriate toys, and afterwards, fill out a feedback form with observations and opinions about the toys tested. There are 8 Creative Kidstuff stores that need toy testers, including Maple Grove, Linden Hills, St. Paul and Woodbury, with needed ages varying by store. Twin Cities’ Central Corridor Discounts. Sign up for a free Discover Central Corridor account to receive exclusive discounts to merchants along the Twin Cities’ Central Corridor, including shops, restaurants, entertainments, services and more. Once you create your account, you can pick up a free card at any participating retailer, download a mobile app or scan a QR Code at the store to get discounts. A plethora of restaurants discounts are available, but also automotive, entertainment and clothing discounts and so much more. The discount card was created by merchants along the future Central Corridor light rail line to encourage business during the three years of construction that recently began. (Thanks, Kara!)
Local Garage Sales. Many of you have already posted comments asking about garage sales in specific areas, and the StarTribune’s garage sale calendar is a great resource for finding some of the biggest and best sales around town this summer. The first part of the calendar already ran in mid-April, however, the second part will be published on May 17 in the Variety section, which will include even more sales.

Hutchinson is having their spring garage sale this Saturday May 7th CITYWIDE sale. Look up some at hutchinsonleader.com. I am at 541 4th Ave SW. I will have girl and boy newborn to 2T clothes, accessories and baby toys/gear. Hope to see you there. We are just 1hr on 7 west from the cities.
