New Legit Online Survey Offers: Survey Spot, National Consumer Panel, Digitas Pulse + More

Update 3/18: When I originally posted this on Monday, March 14, National Consumer Panel quit accepting applicants moments after the blog post went live. I am updating and re-posting this with new, current links for the National Consumer Panel.

***

Last week I mentioned that PineCone Research is accepting new applicants, which is awesome, but I have a couple more legit survey opportunities to highlight for you.

Survey Spot

Survey Spot is a new company to me, but I checked it out using my three criteria for evaluating survey companies and it looks good. Survey Sampling International, a market research company that was founded in 1977, owns Survey Spot and online reviews are favorable. In fact, some reviewers say that they offer high-reward surveys with soem frequency.

It’s free to join Survey Spot and you’ll be able to take as many surveys as you want (there is an average of 24 surveys available per month). With your completed surveys, you’ll earn cash rewards payable via Paypal and prize draw entries.

National Consumer Panel

When you join the National Consumer Panel, you’ll receive a scanner to scan the barcodes on all your purchases and send the purchase information to the company once a week. With your participation in the program, you’ll earn gift points that are redeemable for merchandise and/or entries into the company’s sweepstakes.

I’ve mentioned National Consumer Panel in times past and you all have given it mixed reviews. Some folks really enjoy scanning their products, teaching their kids about how market research works and others think it is too time-consuming for the rewards offered. In any case, it’s free to join and you can quit whenever you want.

One difference from times past is that you do not have to have a landline to join.

Neilsen, of Neilsen Ratings, is a lead market research firm for the National Consumer Panel and they use your information to inform and influence future products we see on the shelves.

Digitas Pulse

Digitas Pulse is another new-to-me survey company that checks out and meets my criteria for being legit. Personally, I’m not much of an online survey taker, but I know many of you are. let me know about your personal experiences with Digitas Pulse, as those are even more meaningful to me than reviews I read online.

Topic-Specific Toluna Panels

Toluna is accepting general applications, but also recruiting folks with specific demographics for research panels including (click on specific panel if you think you might qualify):

  • Auto owners from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and San Fran/Oakland/San Jose areas
  • I-Workers or people who work behind a computer and use email daily and calendar weekly, that are ages 18+. Selected panelists would earn $50 in Amazon gift certificates to talk to manufacturer of software to improve products.
  • Lip balm users
  • Lottery and travel buffs

More Survey Opportunities

Taking online surveys from home is an easy way to make a little extra money. As you get started, read How to Earn Extra Money from Legit Online Survey Companies and check out these firms that I recommend:

Campus Fundraiser (This program works a little differently than the others. I wrote a blog post about it last fall and plan to highlight it again soon)

Consumer Village

Ipsos I-Say Panel: for Men

Ipsos I-Say Panel: for Moms

Ipsos I-Say Panel: for Everyone Else

Mindfield Internet Panels

Opinion Outpost

PineCone Research (this is a top-notch firm that pays $3 per survey. I *think* they are currently recruiting a limited number of folks in their 20′s, but I will let you know every time I hear that they are accepting new applicants)

Synovate Global Opinions Panel

Your turn: Have you used any of these survey companies before? Which survey company gives you the most bang for your buck?

I personally use PineCone Research, Opinion Outpost, Mindfield Internet Panels, and Synovate Global Opinion Panels, and I love all 4 of them. They are all legit and I have so far made about 70 dollars (off of Opinion Outpost, Pinecone, and Synovate….I just joined Mindfield not that long ago, and have not been able to cash out yet).
