You can pick up some free toothpaste and mouthwash and get a decent deal on name brand (Huggies) diapers this week at CVS.
If you’re new to CVS, your first step is to learn the ins and outs of the ExtraCare program and learn how to read this shopping list. For those who use reusable bags, you may want to buy a green bag tag.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. We will update this list as readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas or we read about other deals across the blogosphere. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: What other deals did you find this week at CVS?

Pretty boring week at CVS and Wags.
I think it’s a great week! I’m planning to get 2 toothpastes, 2 floss, and 3 coke packs for .98! I have a $4/20 coupon to stack with Carrie’s already great deals. Or if the 25% off Facebook coupon appears in time, maybe I will use that instead of the $4/20…
I was at CVS yesterday and was asked about the green bag tag, but I didn’t know what it was. I always use resuable bags, and not just for groceries. I use it at places like CVS too. I think I will buy one on my next trip. I don’t go there that often, but I’m sure it wouldn’t take long to make my money back, then more! Thanks Carrie, for the list!
Lisa, the Green Bag tag is awesome! All you have to do is buy one for $0.99 (they are usually up front near the registers) and for every 4 times you have the tag scanned, you get $1 Extra Care Buck back, which will print on the bottom of your reciept. You can only scan it once per card, per day. So you will easily make your buck back with just 4 uses. For me, the only problem is remembering to have it scanned every time I use a reusable bag. :-)
what bag? Do you get a discount for using it?
Every fourth time you use a reuseable bag with the tag, you get 1 extra care buck.
The tag costs a $1, so it’s a great deal if you’re a regular CVS shopper!
I was looking at my extracare account online one day and noticed that the green tag t had an expiration of 7/31/2011. I wonder if that is when the promotion ends?
Thanks, good to know. I don’t shop at CVS often and that’s only 5 months away… Maybe I won’t get one after all.
You could use the $1/2 Mars valentine’s day candy to get those for free….
Andrea – Since those candies are Easter singles and the coupon is for Valentine’s Day products, I’m guessing the coupon wouldn’t work with it.
If you use prepaid cards they have a deal: purchase the card for $4.95 (and the cost of what is loaded on the card). When you use the card at CVS by March 18 you will get a $10 credit. It’s a $5.05 money maker.
JoAnna – Is this listed in the ad, or did you find it somewhere else?
Laura–I saw it in the ad. Page 5, bottom middle.
On Saturday at the CVS on Hanson & CR Blvd they were discounting make up items to 90%. It including Sally Hanson, Maybelline, Wet n Wild and many others so most items were under 1.00. If you have some misc coupons check out the clearance sections. I got some for a Valentine basket for a friend and they had hand cream from Sally Hanson all was really cheap. The nail polish included some of the pen type applicatiors. I got some without coupons. Makes a nice gift and name brand.
Coupon link for Easter Candy at coupons.com isn’t there from my zip code. Anyone else?
I couldn’t find it either. I bet it expired after Valentines Day.
Dawn – It wasn’t for Easter candy; it was for Valentine’s Day candy. Sorry about the mixup.
Carrie,
I saw on the Wags site you listed the Ice Mtn water that is on sale for $3.49. I just thought I’d mention that CVS has their Gold Emblem water for $2.99. I don’t know how it is, but I’m gonna get some. We go through a lot of bottled water because we just don’t like our tap water and filtering it hasn’t helped, but at least we recycle the bottles ;)

if you like them on facbook, you can print this coupon out. Apparently this will be included in next week’s ad for additional savings along with 3/13….
here’s the link to get the coupon, hope this works. If not, once you’ve liked that product on facebook, look on the left for “get a coupon”

oops, early yet this morning LOL
I’ve been couponing at CVS for over a year now and have always successfully used 2 manufacturer’s coupons when the store runs a B1G1 promotion, no questions asked. Today the cashier refused my second coupon. I called CVS when I got home and it turns out that it IS corporate policy to only accept 1 manufacturer’s coupon for a store B1G1 promotion. It didn’t help any that the cashier was horribly rude… guess I will stick with going on Sunday when the friendly cashier is working…
Forgot to mention that the 20% off Facebook coupon is only good on non-sale, non-ECB items… so not a great deal… overall a pretty disappointing trip to CVS this week. :(
I’ve noticed the last few coupons they’ve emailed me have excluded sale or advertised items. BOOOO CVS!
Listerine Total Care + Whitening is not included in the sale, I think it was around 7 bucks.
Regular Total Care is.
Re: The reach toothbrush deal: Do you think you could use the $1.50/2 coupon from the 1/9 insert since it’s a 2-pack? Or would you need to buy 2-2packs? Eden Prairie has never refused me a deal, but I don’t want to do something I shouldn’t and ruin it. Thoughts?
I found out yesterday that the Moundsview CVS will take the emailed q’s up to a week after their expiration date. Always good to know.
I know I have some fellow Andover shoppers out there —–does anyone know if they do as well? Depending on which way I’m going home I hit different stores.
I had a great deal at CVS:
2 Colgate Sensitive Toothpastes
-2 $1/1 Colgate coupons
-1 $3/1 CVS Birthday coupon (another perk of having the Extra Care Card!)
Spent $2.93, got $7.58 ECBs
3 Puffs Tissues
1 CVS Cotton Balls
2 Emerald Almonds (these were $6.29 at the Midway CVS but still B1G1)
-2 $1/1 Emerald Nuts coupons (these said “1 per purchase” but both went through)
-$7.58 ECBs
Spent an additional $1.58, for a total of $4.51 for everything. Thanks Carrie for your hard work!
