Comments

  1. Katie says:

Thanks for the extra comments you add. Being a newbie to this method of shopping and using coupons, I really appreciate the extra help and insight on which deals are truly the best and which aren’t. :)

  2. JoAnna says:

Cub chocolate milk for $2–what % is that milk? Thanks :)

  3. Angie says:

Can you freeze hummus? We like it but can’t always go through it fast enough.

    • Jessica says:

The texture isn’t really the same — bummer. You can freeze chickpeas, and then make your own later, but this probably doesn’t help.

    • Deoxy says:

I have had good luck with freezing it. It does separate a bit, but if you stir it back together it still tastes good.

      Diana

  4. Ophelia says:

I see English Muffins are buy on get one free. So you would get 2 for 3.49$ making each one 1.75$ is that a good price for theses?

    • Sandy says:

FYI, At Aldi they are always .99 cents! They are in the same type of packaging and taste great. I didn’t realize that was such a great price until I saw that Cub and Rainbow sell theirs for $3.00 or more each. So I think that $1.75 is not a good price for them. Just my two cents!

      Sandy

  5. Marie says:

Aldi’s has strawberries for $1.99 this week. And they look great and taste great. Also if your looking for flowers today Aldi’s has 1/2 dozen roses for $3.99

  6. Jane says:

I thought I saw Walmart have the Bar-S meat franks for 88 cents (Stillwater), however they were not jumbo.

  7. Jane says:

I thought I saw Walmart have the Bar-S meat franks for 88 cents (Stillwater), however they were not jumbo. That would make them 38 cents wyb 2

  8. Nita says:

I noticed on the bottom of my Cub receipt it is different and now has a category called “Store/Double/Triple” coupons, could this mean there is a chance Cub is going to get into the double coupon business too?

  9. josie says:

i dont shop at cub to often, does anyone know how they clearance there valentines day candy? is it 50% the next day, does it go down in price more later, or not? Do they move it to a different spot in the store?

    • Betsy says:

I usually see them go on clearance at 50% off the day after a holiday. They seem to keep them in the “seasonal” aisle. I plan on going tomorrow with lots of expired coupons.

  10. Betsy says:

    $1 off of 3 Zatarain’s rice mixes at redplum.com!

  11. Jessica says:

Does anyone know if the $25 prescription gift card coupon is one per household? I recently filled a prescription at Cub for one son, and then I went today to fill another child. Yes, we have the crud going around our house. The lady at the counter told me it was only one per household. I didn’t grab the book to bring home with me. I had another son to get to basketball practice :)

  12. Kris says:

    Jessica,
I just picked up one of the Value your Heart flyers from the front of the store. The Save $25 off you grocery…with any new or transferred prescription coupon is on the back. It does say “Limit one coupon per household.” Sorry:( Hope your family is better soon.

  13. Jessica says:

Thanks Kris! I forgot to mention my Cub, the Savage, MN one, had Golden ‘n Plump 20oz packages on sale for $1.99 each. It’s left for their BOGO sale last week I believe. They are all sell by 2/15, but we have a deep freezer so I bought 5. I wish I would have had my Gold n Plump coupons with me for an even better deal! I assume this will only be through tomorrow however. Great Deal Though!!

  14. Jessica says:

oops! forgot to add that is $1.60/lb for name brand all natural chicken :) YAY!!

  15. Susie says:

I had to buy emergency diapers tonight and found $5 off coupons (peelies) on some of the boxes of Huggies. They were expired as of 12/31/10, but as we know, that’s ok in this case. It was on a box of 126 and 64 too.

  16. Jennifer M. says:

Excited to see the eggs on sale. I have been holding onto my .55 off 2 dozen eggs printable coupons from Nov. or Dec. hoping I would get a good deal at Cub!

  17. allison a says:

Simply Orange lovers – there are 1$ off coupons per bottle online and a 2 for $5 coupon in the Cub ad making them $1.50 apiece.

  18. Lisa says:

Also found Silk Soymilk 2/$5 (unadvertised deal). There are $.75/1 coupons in the 2/6 SS or $1/2 in their heart coupon book. Usually I like to get for free or $1 but soymilk coupons have been harder to come by these days…

Also, Jennie-O turkey taco seasoned meat was on sale for $1.50 which I thought was a great price at the Highway 7 and 169 Cub.

  19. chris says:

Aldi’s also had 3lb Cuties priced at $2.50 when I stopped on Wed.

  20. Julie says:

I was just at the Cub in White Bear Township. They are selling Cub brand 80% lean ground beef for $1.88/lb in 3 lb chubs. According to the sign, it was a 4-day radio ad that will go through Sunday, Feb 20.

    • debster? says:

Wasn’t there a $1.00 off cub ground beef in the last in-store cub coupon book? Makes it about 5.00 for the 3 lbs… right

  21. avh says:

We have bought a lot a clementines this year but the ones I got at Cub yesterday were awful! Not even my kids would eat them. Can I get a refund or is it my tough luck buying so late in the seaon?
